Of course, I can talk easily, did not even get close to any of those Russian (and Belorussian) models. I only know the KTM-5 from Daugavpils (was there a few month before the KTM-23 and KTM-31 arrived there). The KTM-8 singleton was stored in the old depot, which was not connected to the network that time, so I missed my chance to ride it...
Belarus cars (Stadler) are nice, but very bad assembled, even comparing with Russian. But if you compare overall design off course they are much more modern than Russian.
And of course you are right, modern trams replacing old ones are per definition ugly
I know that all
Iam living there ^^
@KnockbackKing oh, I see. But I think Flexity is not that ugly. It could be much worse)
- 2 Flexity Berlin (used from Berlin)
- 1 KT8D5.RN2S (with low floor central section
- 1 T6C5 (the prototype for New Orleans, which ended up in Strausberg)
The regular service is done with the Flexities, if one of them is unavailable the KT8 is used. The T6C5 is an extremely rare occurence, so you need to be really lucky to find it in service...

The first link is a foto of modernised KT8D5, the second is original KT8D5, and the third is Tatra T6C5 - inique car, built for New Orleans, but finally settled in Strausberg.

There is actually only one KT8D5 car in Russia, alas. it runs in Volgograd city LRT line.
All other "Russian" KT8D5 came to DPRK, couse in 90's Russia could not afford them =(
Latvian is fixed, thanks)
Only one remains in service today, though it was thoroughly modernized recently and fitted with a low floor central section...
@ kowkamurka
Btw. "Larvian Daugavpils": When will it hatch, and what will it hatch? (typo)
THX so much, you're the best! ;-D
Tatra KT8D5 's my most favourite street car (tram) ever! My 1st ride on a KT8D5 was in Prague on a prototype street car in the early 80's. Today you can also find some of them in Germany, CZ/SK, RUS and DPRK. :-) Greetz!
I will convert my Cities Skylines model.
I have plans to make Tatra KT8D5, then, Tatra K2. Later may be Tatra KT4.
I like Konstal cars, especially old ones (13N and 102Na), but 105Na is also a top one. I will wisit Poland again this winter, so, may be, I will make myself to model this car)
I like all your models, you're bringing the era of the eastern bloc countries back again.
:-)
I'd also appriciate the "CSSR made" KT8D5 trams. I'd donate this work immadiatelly. ;-)

Thanx so much.
Greetz from Germany

Or the KT4D from the Czech Republic? ^^
Eventualy the KTNF6 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KTNF6 ? c:
