well, seeing as the last time he replied to anyone was late 2017 I'm guessing he's abandoned this mod/moved on/stopped caring.
drfinkus 1 Dec, 2020 @ 4:44pm
Same as others below, I'm getting "Bad Vehicle Type CUP_B_SLA_Medicbag_green" for the African Army faction.
El Ennzonauta 14 Oct, 2020 @ 9:51pm
Why can't I edit the rebel loadout? When I copy and paste, or when I start the mission, the loadout is undone and it is back as before

It's a long way to Mukumbura

Got error "Bad Vehicle Type CUP_B_SLA_Medicbag_green"
Baelfrost 17 Aug, 2019 @ 6:38am
Sorry, me again. Is it me, or are you not able to change the units' loadouts via ACE Loadout? Am I missing something?
Advaitic 29 Apr, 2019 @ 5:35am
Hey, seem to be getting a bug with "Bad Vehicle Type CUP_B_SLA_Medicbag_green" Im no config guy but ive noticed that there is no "green" variant in the original CUP_Weapons_Backpack config is this something that has changed and needs to be updated to stop any issues?
Skarpi 29 Nov, 2018 @ 2:19pm
really well done, thanks dude
Sioctan 1 Nov, 2018 @ 11:13am
Hi Auburn, I've run into the following issue, when ever I load the _UN _REB or _ARMY PBOs it gives a "No Entry 'bin/config.bin/CfgWeapons/BaseSoundModeType.scope'" error whenever I start up ArmA 3 and requires a click to close. Got any clue why this happens?

Screeny of the error: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/147358831645556736/506611343546122290/20181030003134_1.jpg

I'm having the same issue as Scarab did... some of the units are naked. Any ideas on what causes that?
Mr_Sideburns 5 Feb, 2018 @ 9:56am
Hi ! Same problem as Oddball here...I subbed to your mod tu use your factions (I needed african rebels on OPFOR side) but I don't want to use CUP gear. Is there a way to disable this overwriting ? The CSAT/ Bonnesetter solution is not convinient for me as I need the units to have the correct name. Cheers !
Commander 20 Dec, 2017 @ 3:20am
Absolutely fantastic work!
Scarab 7 Oct, 2017 @ 9:45am
Never mind, it works now.
:steamhappy:
Scarab 7 Oct, 2017 @ 8:16am
Yo some of these dudes are naked for me. I have all the required mods installed though.
Oddball-47 Ronin 29 Sep, 2017 @ 6:37pm
Wow, Auburn, that was fast! Thank you very much. <S>
Prior to reading this I found a workaround: I noticed of the four, that one did NOT revert to his default "uniform", that was "bonesetter2" of the African Rebel faction. The other three were "warlord1" and "warlord2". So my "fix" was to just replace the warlord types with "bonesetter2, and it's working fine on my end. I'll know for sure when I stick it on a server.

Best, Odd

@Oddball-47 Ronin Are you talking about you changed their uniforms in the init of each soldier in the editor? If so, then yeah...my config is gonna overwrite your change. I'd say the easiest thing to do is take a vanilla CSAT soldier, then do the same thing you're doing...undress and redress via the editor in game. You can change the language, etc. and the vanilla model won't overwrite your change.

Hi Auburn, I'm havin' an "issue" with the mod in my mission. I'm using four guys from the "African Rebels" faction and have edited their "uniforms" to use the SLA Officer Uniform and the SLA officer cap. (CUP mod, I believe - I'm not running RHS stuff at the moment) Once I fire up the mission to test it, they revert to their original clothing/uniform. Is there something I can put in their init area to make this not happen?
Regards, Odd

Hi Auburn, thank you very much for working these up. I've been workin' on a mission and it wouldn't have been possible without your mod. (Not to mention your time and efforts.) Salute!

When i start the game with this mod loaded I get an error that says "no entry 'bin/config.bin/CfgWeapons/BaseSoundModeType.scope'"

The game still runs though.

8/22/2017 UPDATE: Cleaned up the config. Removed duplicate backpack issue that was occurring for some units when spawned in by ALiVE. Enjoy.

ok thanks for the info.

@phantom hawk. I believe non apex owners can still use apex assets. Everything except the map itself if I'm not mistaken.
Phantom Hawk 13 Mar, 2017 @ 7:35am
Does this need Apex to work? the uniforms they are using seem to be from Apex.
Shouravik 12 Mar, 2017 @ 12:40pm
Hello, I added you for questions regarding your mod. Thank you.
AuburnAlumni  [author] 12 Mar, 2017 @ 12:19pm
UPDATE: Some small tweaks to the pack. I gave all factions appropriate African names. I also changed the IND Army faction to speak French, as well as the Christian/Western Civilian faction. Enjoy as always.

For those interested: I've just released my first version of my ASIAN factions for CUP. Like my African pack, I will continue to add/flesh this pack out as well. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=880349710

UPDATE: Fixed a config error that had the Independent Army T-72 Tanks sometimes firing on friendly units.
AuburnAlumni  [author] 9 Feb, 2017 @ 5:11pm
UPDATE: Cleaned up the config and removed the "No entry bin/config.bin/CfgGroups/CIV.side" error for both the African Civ faction and African Muslim Civ faction. Enjoy.

2 problems and a suggestion. when spawned with alive african army guys never have any ammo on them except for their 9mm pistol ammo. also when you change someones gear in the arsenal in the eden editor it will reset to what they spawn with. the suggestion is to make the officer in the HQ squad a lieutenant instead of a sergeant.

cool man thanks. can you add support units? fuel trucks/ammo trucks/repair trucks/ambulances?

AuburnAlumni  [author] 9 Dec, 2016 @ 8:06pm
UPDATE: I have added a 3rd faction to the pack. A full African army set to Independent side. It includes Infantry, Special Forces, and Vehicles, and support weapons.

I think you can use the ALiVE ORBAT Tool.

Here is a tutorial

how do you make factions does it just require a lot of coding? I'm not sure how this stuff works
Wulf 8 Dec, 2016 @ 11:27am
Thanks for the fast fix!
And again for the bonus civilians
AuburnAlumni  [author] 7 Dec, 2016 @ 7:58pm
I have expanded the mod to include an African Civilian faction as well. This will allow users to create full African insurgency missions with CUP.
AuburnAlumni  [author] 7 Dec, 2016 @ 6:15pm
@OGWulf Thanks for the tip. Faction has been updated and both the AT and AA units have had the Titan missiles replaced with appropriate CUP ammo. Enjoy.
AuburnAlumni  [author] 6 Dec, 2016 @ 9:49pm
@OGWulf thanks for the heads up. I'll look into it.
