Nice map, but it is a pitty to start again from the beginning each time you die...
Why not put some plce where the game is saved ?
Except this, full of good ideas..

Wow, Wow, and Wow.... Epic adventure. Several times I was sure I was hopelessly lost... but finally found the forest! Great work and thanks!

I was locked in the closet where you get the portal gun
Yeahhh... Weird feeling there
vioray 8 Aug, 2014 @ 2:34am
very nice. took me a little while to get past the fan as the angle has to be just right to get the portal to hit the surface behind it
The Bee's Knees 17 Jun, 2014 @ 2:48am
Hey that was awesome. Thanks.

nah man, no mod, the crusher was part of the game, as were the catwalks, if you're using the built-in editor you'll never be able to use 90% of the things that are in there which is why I stopped using it and started using the hammer editor (Portal 2 SDK), sure its way harder to use but theres so so much more you can do.
Wet For Jesus 9 Nov, 2013 @ 10:44pm
but did you get like any mod for portal 2 to get all that crusher panel and catwalks and stuff because i wana know how to get all that other stuff+i sent you a friend request
Phillypop  [author] 9 Nov, 2013 @ 8:59pm
@Radioactive the nice thing about using the develpoer editor is all the assets at your disposal, every object you see in the game as well as many you don't since its built off the counterstrike engine, there's even some leftover stuff from portal 1 (the cake for example is floating around in the files somewhere) glad you liked the map :)
Wet For Jesus 9 Nov, 2013 @ 7:35pm
I LOVE IT NICE AND EASY had no problems how did you get that crusher and the rails and those types of doors and stuff
spluff5 4 May, 2013 @ 3:15pm
How do you get out?
spluff5 4 May, 2013 @ 3:15pm
Me too
Luxus 26 Feb, 2013 @ 10:45am
I got stuck multiple times. Even at places where I was supposed to be like in the room where you get the portal gun. Door close and broke down before I could even get the gun.

I keep falling onto the top of the elevator and getting stuck with no way off, forcing a restart of the level. Was that intentional or am I missing something.

Also, I just wanted to add that all three of your Space Station boards are amazing!
AceHeavenX 18 Feb, 2013 @ 5:06am
Sorry for spoiling the others who will play this map...
AceHeavenX 18 Feb, 2013 @ 5:05am
Wow, that's not an easy one....
Phillypop  [author] 13 Feb, 2013 @ 3:12pm
Achievement 2 is killing all turrets on the entire map (aside from the pile of turret debris)
AceHeavenX 13 Feb, 2013 @ 7:01am
Note: I killed the radio and 1 turret but I only have one achievment; What is the second?
AceHeavenX 13 Feb, 2013 @ 7:00am
Scary at some times, but BEST MAP EVEAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!
Phillypop  [author] 11 Jan, 2013 @ 12:43pm
@gekaler its just water, not toxic goop, I didnt add a 'kill' value to it for a reason, and the floor below it is portalable. you *can* portal out of it if you can hit the one portalable surface in the area (look way up) but its a bit tricky as the portal gun doesnt actually like firing while in water.
Penkro 11 Jan, 2013 @ 9:54am
your water is bugged, I got stuck in it and didnt die
Phillypop  [author] 31 Oct, 2012 @ 6:42pm
@LPChip, that was the general idea, think outside the Aperture box so to speak, dont worry though the new map I'm working on screams Aperture science, with a 'twist'
LPChip 31 Oct, 2012 @ 1:34pm
I didn't liked this map that much. There are a few things that work differently than in normal puzzles and that really threw me off. For example some big crates that conceil a secret passage.

Почему в этой камере есть странный шар? Он светится и вид его мне кажется, что он смертельный(т.е огненный)((На английский не переводится)

Holy Hell! Science at its best! Fantastic job Philly. As a heads up, In the large room after the elevator, on the top level of the catwalk where the door leads to the control room, I ended up falling through the wall and outside the map. Had to restart. Not sure if anything can be done about that. Great job again!
Ambassador Sky 8 Sep, 2012 @ 11:01am
when is the next part
Phillypop  [author] 13 Aug, 2012 @ 4:27pm
Ok, those asking about the picture of the people, heres a little info for ya off the wiki, scroll down to the 'behind the scenes' part,http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Aperture_Science_Enrichment_Center

I still haven't found that portrait on the wiki yet...

WOW
Nimak 6 Aug, 2012 @ 12:41pm
how do i leave the starting room with all the turrets facing me?
Kalash is fine 2 Aug, 2012 @ 7:12am
ANTI-MATTER CHAMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kalash is fine 2 Aug, 2012 @ 6:58am
yay! the old chamber lock
Phillypop  [author] 31 Jul, 2012 @ 7:00pm
@PopularVote Yeah the people in the picture on the monitor you'll need to do some digging on the portal wiki to find all the info about but its from a deleted area, search for "diahrama" as for jamming the cube in the door, i'd... never considered that as even a possibility, seeing as the door trigger is immediately in front of it, you need to be basically touching the door for it to open, and closes once you enter, for you to have opened it and not gotten the portalgun would be, well, weird lol. as for save points, there is a trigger_autosave entity in hammer but my understanding is it only works in actual game mode, not the PTI, as its designed for triggering an autosave as you load to the next map (ala HL map/level transitions) however, i dont think my newer maps will be as long and shouldnt need a save point as ep.3 will take you back inside Aperture's testing chambers.
zcoop98 30 Jul, 2012 @ 6:02pm
I got the companion cube all the way to the end!!! :D I'm happy :P lol
PopularVote 29 Jul, 2012 @ 4:48pm
SPOILERS AHOY!

Neat! Wondering who The people in the portrait are...

That said, some things you might consider:

1.Save points. Is that possible in custom maps? Because I'd include them.
2. When getting the portal gun, it's possible to jam the companion cube in the door and get yourself locked out of the room. Something to consider.
RIIIIKU 23 Jul, 2012 @ 2:44pm
....dude...Epic !!!
Phillypop  [author] 18 Jul, 2012 @ 11:38pm
@machmanx omg is that last room still going overbright?? i thought i fixed that, and as you can see from my video,i dont see that on mine, i'll tweak it a bit more.. and yeah i discovered the darkness in the office a bit ago, the ceiling lights in there are instanced (aka made by valve) so i have no idea why they're so dark now,i'll pull em out and put in custom's. I agree with the big safe door being in visual range when pressing the button, thus i added the surveilance monitor, the door takes so long to open you could easily run out and watch it from the catwalk :) as for textures, i was trying to make it look like mars and that was the only red-ish dirt i could find in the texture list, and the rooms and halls all use the observation room texture set to give it a non-testchamber Aperture feel
MachManX 18 Jul, 2012 @ 11:07pm
This seemed more like a singleplayer mission than a test chamber, and I like it! Good change of pace from the standard test chambers. BUT, there are so many texture choices which could've been better. There were times when it was pitch black in a room that should've had lighting, aka the turret office, and the last part where the entire walls were bright white that were blinding. Also giving a message in the beginning to the user indicating that there is breakable glass or some kind of clue would help. One more thing: The opening of the safe: I'd prefer it to be in visual range when pressing the button. Just seeing that mammoth thing move makes me think there's something awesome hidden inside. There are more issues but I'll leave it at that.
Phillypop  [author] 18 Jul, 2012 @ 6:28pm
i'm gonna haveta go all 'legend of zelda' and put cracks on anything breakable arent i? lol j/k.. i did have it set up originally to have the turrets blow the walls to bits upon entry but realized that giving the player less then 2 seconds from map load to get the heck outta the turrets sights wouldnt make for a fun map. I figured eventually it'd be logically figured that people that live in glass houses shouldnt throw things at the walls :) thanks to all for playin my maps, i'm working hard on the next one, and for just a teaser, it will take you back inside Aperture, but not quite where you'd expect to be.
Bravo-81 XPBREW.COM 18 Jul, 2012 @ 10:40am
Hey, pretty cool map. A bit long, a few bits are bugged too. I had to noclip out the cell, sorry. Couldnt get out.
superslinger2007 17 Jul, 2012 @ 6:10pm
cyron43, I had trouble with that too. Turns out you have to use any of the items to break one of the glass windows.
cyron43 17 Jul, 2012 @ 4:03pm
Seing that others solved it makes me feel puzzled because the automatic portal doesn't appear in the first room. What's wrong?
Sleepy 17 Jul, 2012 @ 1:14pm
nice awesome level.
UnableRogue 16 Jul, 2012 @ 5:33pm
@Philly Ok that's cool then. Thanks for the info. I will put up with the loading time because it's an awesome map and I loved the first space station. You have yourself another follower. :)
Phillypop  [author] 16 Jul, 2012 @ 1:29pm
@UnableRouge Yes, its normal, its a huge map, not as big as some of the original game maps but still huge, and has a custom texture, its gonna take a bit to load in, the game also pre-cache's reflections on load time, essentially taking screenshots, for anything reflective like the water, glass, and metal surfaces, and i've got a lot of water in there, and that tiled wall in the big cave is metal tiles which apparently are semi-reflective. dont worry once its loaded once it shouldnt be bad the next time around as the cache will be saved, as will the reflections.
UnableRogue 16 Jul, 2012 @ 6:10am
This map takes ages to load like 30 seconds plus. The first space station was normal to load. Is this normal? It's the only map that does it.
Phillypop  [author] 14 Jul, 2012 @ 10:40pm
@the man, Water is fairly simple in hammer editor, cant be done in the in-game editor tho, and the texture i used is actually from HL2 not portal 2 as none of the portal water textures work with the func_water_analog that i used to make the moving water, but if you're trying to make just a stationary bit of water, theres a few decent textures that come with portal 2 sdk, my personal fave was the glados_02 i think its called, a slight yellowish tint to it and very transparent and even gets a glow to it when a light source it placed near the surface
UltraSound 14 Jul, 2012 @ 10:30pm
How do you make water?!?
