After recruiting an enemy that is injured and releasing them, if they are crippled the the guard set to capture intruders will constantly drop and pick up the newly recruited companion.

If you take the downed recruit to a building and put them in a bed to recover and lock the door, they proceed to knock the door down.

If you lock a gate with one of them wondering outside, they will proceed to knock it down.

ehh idea seems cool but the settlers seem to be allied to my enemies so they heal black dragon ninjas inside of my base and fight my allies ; (

Mod is cool, but settlers just keep destroying the gate of my base everytime, which means that i'm getting attacked by everything because i can't keep my base closed

this mod is beautiful and i love how it gives my own city life, however, they do buy ALOT Of stuff so it can be kinda cheesy to make money and also a small bug, the leader was for some reason the dog and they were standing out side of my gate, every time id say comee on in it would say "contract with the settlers has ended" pick the dog up to somehow revoke its leader stat then they triggered the normal "hey can we live with you". so uh.. do with that as you will, beautiful mod none the less!

Be pretty cool if you could let them 'rent' empty building shells which they'd furnish the same as a generic residential building found in any of the other towns. Easy way to give your town life without having to do a bunch of tedious object placing.

The settlers never defended my city or occupied turrets in my game, although I have the 2020 patch so maybe that fixes it. They do heal my injured characters on occasion.

The settlers have 0 cats when I talk to them and they can't ever buy anything from my store. Not sure if there's a mod conflicting with it.

They occupy turrets, yes.. But don't seem to shoot them most of the time. A Holy Nation attack came in and the settlers were occupying 4 of my 5 turrets and never shot them. Then some random Dust bandits came by attacking my gate and the settlers still didn't shoot. Can't get them off the turret without dismantling it and then rebuilding, after which they just reoccupy it..

Hey, just wanted to give some feedback. Settlers are overpowered, really. They heal you (since you'll be allied to them), they protect you (for the same reason), they occupy your turrets and mounted crossbows (and won't let go, dammit!).

@Tsvetomir not as far as im aware. I've tried many many things to do with their ai but no luck. Maybe someone better at the ai could do it though

Is it possible for the drifters to occupy buildings/shacks built by the player and the drifters to pay rent after a certain interval, lets say 7 days?

Any way to prevent these vagrants from occupying my turrets? They are much to soft and refuses to fire on raiders until they attack :(

@crtaylor1 That is one thing I tried to fix with the patch I created for this mod. If you subscribe to my patch and put it under the original mod, then the settlers should wander around the player town and shop at a certain time of day after you get them to come to your town.

Hi everyone. I finally got the patch for this mod done. If you are having problems getting the settlers to come to your town or finding them, then you can try my patch. I have also changed their headquarters to a place in the Stenn Desert and added them as random nest spawns at several locations. I am having a similar issue where they never initiate dialogue, and instead just patrol around my base and disappear sometimes.

They have never made any dialogue nor arrived in groups, but they do randomly show up and walk around, and buy things occasionally. Extremely glitchy but it's nice to have additional NPCs at a player base.

Yeah, I believe Faylein was planning on adding an alternative location as that's always been something I've disliked as well. Hopefully they can finish polishing it up soon :cactusrum:

@Faylein if you're going to be making a patch mod, would it be possible to change the drifters faction HQ from Bast to maybe a custom settlement? I know for sure the Metalheads mod takes bast and turns it into their faction HQ, and I really like that mod, but also really want to incorporate what you're working on into my mod list. If you can that would be great, if not, its all good, cant hurt to ask. Cheers!

I have decided to create a patch mod rather than editing the original mod directly in case you all prefer the original mod as is. After I'm done testing the new patch I'll release it. @Pleb I don't want them to be hostile because the intent of the mod is to add npc's to the player town. In the new patch, there are going to be more nests so you can hunt them down if you want, Pleb :P

They just run around the map, dont attack you.
i was capturing them taking their gear. selling said gear and selling them off as slaves. making like 5k per slave (depending on the gear)
Maybe make it so they can be hostile towards you.

@Nanogiraffe Are you still an active player of Kenshi and are you still interested in maintaining this mod? Your mod is a very good idea and it has a great start. But in 2020 it was crashing my game. I'm a modder myself, now and I have been working on your mod for my own personal use to make it functional. Currently, I'm working on campaign, AI, and dialogue issues. It is making me learn a lot. Would you like to get in touch and collaborate on updating your mod? I have been adding some new content to it, as well, such as more nests in various parts of the world. That was an awesome idea treating the settlers like a mercenary contract :).

@Modelcitizen I think its just a matter of the NPC being tagged as members of that private residence since they "live" in your "town" even though town in this case is just a single house. Since they're not technically faction members they don't have the keys to unlock hence the door battery. Also I've had the game bug at random locking my house to public no matter what I do until I reload.
