Excellente voiture ! Super fun à conduire ! Bravo !
Tomkatt 2 Nov, 2020 @ 8:57pm
BTW, other than the AI thing, this car is a blast to drive. Thanks!
Tomkatt 2 Nov, 2020 @ 8:56pm
What's a good AI difficulty for these? The AI seems really slow, like 54.5 to 55+ seconds around the track when I tend to do 53 and under (and I'm not even particularly good IMO).

really nice mod to drive, very fun to drive. I'm in doubt about your wet tires, It seems that they don't work!! If you use wet tyres or slicks on track wet above 50% they have the same behavior. Did you notice that? Thanks!! Great job!

Demasiada frenada atrás por defecto: 63/37, cuando el reparto de peso estático es 64'8/35'2. Con 65'4/34'6 ya saca la trasera en cuanto frenas en apoyo.

Great mod. Just wish to see some more work especially after DX11 came out. Thank you for this gift.

Ooops, one other issue: the AI are much too slow. They are very slow compared to both the player and ISI's Clio. I am not sure if these cars are supposed to be the same or quicker or slower than the older Clio, but I would guess equal or faster. They need quite a boost just to keep up with the player, which is faster than the ISI Clio (e.g., 1 sec per lap at Portugal with little effort).
Marc Collins 12 Jan, 2017 @ 8:22am
The overall weight at slow speeds is high enough--don't increase that. Just try to add more tire grip into the equation versus self-aligning torque or other factors. Even when the tires are at their lowest grip (sliding sideways in a spin), the FFB produced should be much higher than it is now.

Thanks so much for continuing to improve this car. As soon as the FFB is cured, this will be the best Clio available and deserve 5 stars.
Marc Collins 12 Jan, 2017 @ 8:22am
Yes, 1.43 is big improvement! The main problem that is left is the imbalance between normal grip (like pulling out of the pit garage or driving slowly around a corner) versus high speeds where you lose grip from the tires and they start to slide. When the tires are sliding at high speeds (or maybe at all), the drop off in FFB is too severe. The steering wheel becomes too light and it feels like the ar is floating on ice or water instead of what should be happening which is the tires are digging into the pavement to regain grip. Try to USF2000 to understand the effect. The tires on the CLio are not as good as the USF2000, so it won't be quite as strong as that, but it should not feel like ice.

Thank you very much SIMCO!
Update v1.43 goes in a very good direction.
Clio driving makes happy... :steamhappy:

And just to add some more hopefully useful info, the same process seems to have occurred with the ASR 3. The original had nice FFB. The SIMCO version feels awful and weightless. I think someone with a very non-standard wheel or wheel setup is doing your FFB physics!
Marc Collins 8 Jan, 2017 @ 9:18am
Your car has best graphics and sounds of any of the Clios! But the FFB should be based on the ISI Clio or done the way the latest ISI cars do (USF2000 and GTR500). Instead, it feels like it is based on the ISI F2--which has the worst FFB of any rF2 car made by ISI. It feels OK for some, but on many wheels it is totally whacked. I think the same problem is occurring here. For some, this may feel better than the original ISI Clio, just as those poeple think the F2 is great. But another half experience FFB that is totally unrealistic. Frustrating, I agree. But we know that everyone finds the FFB on the new USF2000 good and 99% find the ISI Clio good. Your more extreme default race set-up (than ISI or WSR), which is fine for racing, happens to brings out the worst in the FFB issues.

Sorry for long post, but wanted to say more than just "FFB sucks," and don't speak Hungarian ;)

Another update today. Still no-go on the FFB :(
Marc Collins 1 Jan, 2017 @ 2:25pm
Just got update today and FFB is slightly better. Thanks for working on it. The rest of the mod is worth it! Whatever you adjusted--keep going and do twice as much again. It's headed in the right direction. Now, the steering has some weight when the car is stoppped or going very slowly, but as you increase speed, the steering unfortunately lightens much too much.
Gri 28 Dec, 2016 @ 8:18am
FFB is awful.
Zarg 20 Dec, 2016 @ 6:50am
sorry but the original FFB is really better!
Wiso808 19 Dec, 2016 @ 9:59am
Muchas Gracias por el trabajo, Grettings
emerico  [author] 19 Dec, 2016 @ 8:42am
FFB is much better than in original rF2 Clio III. But we're working on this
Marc Collins 18 Dec, 2016 @ 10:00am
Thanks for update today! FFB is still off. You can just use the Clio that's already in rF2 as a baseline. It has great FFB. No need to be creative with FFB.
Thepharcyde 17 Dec, 2016 @ 6:34am
GTX1070 and i5 6600k and I get less than 50fps with 20 AI, needs some serious polly count must be rediculous
gonzalocasado 14 Dec, 2016 @ 2:50pm
MUY BUENO, gracias.
Loic Kornprobst 14 Dec, 2016 @ 12:53pm
nice mod funny !!!
Araripe 14 Dec, 2016 @ 2:42am
Everything is great. Wonderful mod :steamhappy:
Villem Kraaner 13 Dec, 2016 @ 3:04am
I'm quite enjoying the new Clios. Still, headlights have a bug and the AI is too slow (even at 120%). FFB needs some tweaking, but the car handles fine with T300. I have no big issues with fps and I'm using an old GTX770...
Marc Collins 12 Dec, 2016 @ 8:34pm
Graphics are great! Sounds are great! FFB needs some serious work. The self-aligning torque seems to be missing from the FFB mix, so the car does not feel like a real FWD race car.
enzocarbone 12 Dec, 2016 @ 5:49am
A real fps killer. Needs to be optimized.
GDUBMX 11 Dec, 2016 @ 8:06am
ok, update. yes these are new models but.. the optimization is terrible. these kill your frames big time. my game went from 140fps down to 46fps with these on track.
Zarg 11 Dec, 2016 @ 5:14am
very good but little strange FFB for me!
tomievo 11 Dec, 2016 @ 2:30am
definetly better
GDUBMX 11 Dec, 2016 @ 2:13am
is this better than the ISI version, that seems really outdated
Janos Hegyvari 11 Dec, 2016 @ 1:46am
Despite the fact it's a front wheel car I enjoy driving it! Great mod! :)
