Also, would be cool if there was a separate slider for Eco specialized Commercial, since those buildings create less noise pollution in-game!

This mod is a life saver, finally no more UNREASONABLY LOUD seagull squawks and cow moos! However, there's no option for sheep, so they're still loud as Hell :(

Problem with settings not being saved.

There is a high possibility that the added sound settings in HIDE IT are conflicting.
If you use an older version of the file before the HIDE it sound settings were added, the sound settings will be saved correctly.

Be sure to check your sound packs, if they are broken it will crash the game. Enable debug logs in the Content Manager to help you troubleshoot. I got it working after disabling several obsolete sound packs.

There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the sound/volume of rain? Am I correct? Thanks for the mod though, really enjoy it. I've had to disable rain basically because I can't find a way to equalize it.

Some sounds are reset when loading (world, day industrial...) and some are not (cemetery...).

It is not playing the new DLC sounds, but otherwise, you can add your own, so it does not need an update.

Seems to reset all sound levels every time game is loaded. Sliders are where I left them but all sounds are full level.

Ambient Sounds Tuner 2.0 is not playing the sounds of the new DLC, but if you need custom sounds in your city, just use this package - the broken packages are excluded:

@IronBee I'm getting those a fair bit too, mostly in the last year or so, and I think in my case it's something to do with Hide It, which now has some sound functionality. AST now requires me to turn certain sounds up and/or down to re-enable the level I want. However, given that Hide It (and Hide it Bobby back in the day) had a bunch of toggles that didn't seem to register correctly (I'd have to turn them on then off again every time I loaded the game), I suspect the issue lies more with Hide It than AST. Or, even more likely, with a combination of my 50+ mods. XD

Long story short though, this mod still works well and my autistic brain 100% wouldn't enjoy the game as much without it. Some of the sounds are rage-inducing for me (like the constant beeping from tall buildings (I think?) in high-res city areas).

:steamthumbsup: Mod still runs very well today, despite some error messages. At the beginning, every now and then the volume must be adjusted directly in the mod, but that does not bother me.

My sound settings back to default everytime i load the game. Even though the setting sliders seem adjusted as i did before they behave as default volume.

I agree with @Quinnell. Also, @StayHungry.. the debug output panel has nothing to do with the load order mod. I had that problem way before the mod even existed. I can confirm that since I don't have Ambient sound tuner mod anymore, The debug panel does not open at start.

@StayHungryStayFoolish Useless list. It does not include an updated replacement of ambient sounds tuner. It's just a collection of sound packs for this mod.

Use the Ambient Sound list, which is compatible with the actual game version.

Please follow the Financial District compatible modlist. Please know that the Ambient Sounds Tuner 2.0 mod is not recognizing a few latest DLC sounds (this is why I considered not using it) and it is switching off Loading Order Mod's debug panel, which is a bit annoying to close every single time at the start.

Anyway: your city, your sounds! Go ahead and use the sound package and set them up in the Options menu of Ambient Sounds Tuner 2.0.

Does anyone know which option I should choose to mute the everpresent crosswalk beeping sound? It's driving me insane :( and I'd rather not mute the entire city if I can help it...

This mod still works fine for me. It does cause my game to hang and throw a "not responding" while loading a city, but if I leave it, it eventually loads in.

@gamophyte I used CSLSirenChanger and I followed the tutorial on the mod page. I converted my prefered soundpack siren sounds (Ambient Sounds Tuner: KRA - Kra's Realistic Ambience ) and I converted the .ogg files to .wav files to use with the mod.

But to be honest, I really miss the Ambient Sound Tuner mod because I only have custom sirens, and not custom ambient sounds
