Reminds me of the old Las Vegas elementary schools that opened during the 70s, 80s, and 1990s.

Really love this school!
Out of curiosity, could you make a YMCA or After School Karate building, maybe for your storefront series?

Really like this elementary high school, however, it costs 5000 more than vanilla (very little), has the same maintenance cost as vanilla and provided more than double the usual amount of students.

This makes sense in the way that it's size allows for bigger capacity, but the cost of it is far too low! the cost should be increased by 10-20k at least and increase the maintenance cost by double for it to be balanced.

Also, the texture on the roof is extremely low res and looks awful

To solve the argument I am half Canadian and half American and I have seen much worse, nasty, and more brutal crime in Canada than I ever did in USA. I lived in Texas for 30 years and never locked my door when I left and nothing was ever stolen ever. People are people and USA is a land of many cultures and to judge anybody is shallow minded.

@darthroe. Those ideas really didn't work. My highschool was one of those windowless, open-concept messes. They quickly converted it. Felt like a jailhouse inside, and I couldn't photosynthesize while I studied because there was no natural light.

I really really like your asset. thank you!! It is my style

RE: windowless thing. It was trend in school design especially in 1970s across North America that largely had to do with energy efficiency. I also heard it also was partially due to the idea of avoiding outside distractions to students; I don't know how credible that is since that also happened to correspond with open floor plan design. I happen to have attended an elementary school that had a large addition built in the early 70s (original part was build in the late 50s) that was windowless open floor plan, (which at the time in the early 80s was semi-retrofitted with partial walls), and by the early 90s, windows were installed and the open floor plan was completely gone with proper walls, rooms, and hallways. Similar designs and retrofits happened to the additions to the junior high and the high schools I attended. Anyway, most of the schools build around that time in my city (in Canada) all had minimal amount of windows.

Seriously, SilverWind, you need to chill and get a life other than trolling because you suck at it.

Back to the drawing board? Canada and the US are very similar especially in education! Slight differences yes but fundamentally similar. We're neighbors after all. There's too much variables that go into crime rates and you shouldn't be shocked that theirs differences here. Saying there are many who don't believe there's climate change is completely false. 40% of Canadians don't believe in climate change but what country doesn't have people with this opinion. Canada and the US have their differences we should be respecting each other and I do. This should be enough now, we shouldn't be comparing negative aspects of countries in a Steam workshop. Americans are, for the majority, very friendly people just like Canadians (I've been to Canada a couple of times and I've seen this) and other similar countries. Don't let stereotypes cloud your opinions.

Good work! But I thinked that is a commercial shop like Xanadú or Parquesur on Madrid (a modular part of that). Anyway, good work!

Another note on the windowless thing, here in the southern US, schools were built strong for safety purposes. We have a chance for tornados and hurricanes that would destroy weak glass buildings. Plus, less windows means buildings are easier to air condition. Again, millions turned out fine in our schools and Americans should not be stereotyped.

Insulting an asset is not the way to go and insulting the country the asset is from is definitely not the way to go. Comparing different crime rates of countries isn't exactly apples to apples. The US has a larger population compared to other similar countries. Properly adjusted, we have similar rates to other comparable nations. How we live is not a fundamental problem, it's different from where you are from, but not a problem and thinking so is ignorant. Our way of living is associated with many different cultures and is very diverse. Other countries don't have such diversity. Education is just fine here. High percentage of students continue to college, colleges that are highly looked upon and attract foreign students. All this being said, our countries are great in their own way, so let's continue modelling them in this great game. This game is great to see buildings and culture around the world. We should embrace this.

Refer to my comment below. The architecture of schools is not to blame for 'deranged peoples.' Every country has their own set of crazies and public schools are not to blame. Everyone's different. Besides, there's no real difference between windowed and windowless classrooms. Kids aren’t constantly staring outside at butterflies, they're doing their work. Recess is the real time to get outside exposure. Nothing inhumane at all.

It's an interesting design. I'll give it that. I just feel like it looks more like a shopping center (thinking CostCo or BJs) than an actual school.

Very interessiert building. When I have seen the Screenshots I thought first: Whooo great logistic Center.... Also I have read now your description... I still believe ist would be a great RICO commercial building if you would add gates for Trucks next to the stairs :steamhappy:

But keep on your good Work!

There are two windows in the corners. One can be seen in the 5th picture.
Inside the classrooms were open concept so there were no walls (just movable dividers same height as a person). Light came from doors. Besides, kids don't crazy if they don't see sun for more than an hour. We did fine here!

@jensoo wow i just realized this too!

Ironically... structure would look good in game as prison and/or commercial airport. Great job with asset, and congratulations on your graduation.
