@Turner sorry, but I had warned that I was going to make changes, and I personally prefer the newer version.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and criticism, I hope that I can try and put this much effort into future skins, rather than trying to post them as quickly as possible.
The scars and wounds do look a bit peculiar though if you think about how it would have gotten them in a fight; I'm not sure how the one on its face was formed, especially the branching part. :) While the legs are a nice and light area to have wounds in, it is also a bit of a strange area especially for scratches, maybe it'd have more like bite wounds there (from a beak?). Animals tend to attack necks and eyes in fights. But hey that's just me talking, I have a tendency to think about absolutely everything when creating skins!
Changes:
- Made wounds and scars darker and easier to see.
- Changed Opacity map for feathers (I hope that looks more like what people were suggesting!)
- Made scratches on beak and crest easier to see, plus added a few more.
- Added an edited specular map that just improves small details (I might remove this due to file size though, and it is very minor).
- Other minor changes.
Any thoughts, or does it look good now? xD Also, I'll be away for a bit, so it'll probably be awhile till the skin is updated on the workshop.
@ShufflePlay Thanks for the tips :)
@Gadzooks I can make it look like there are a few scratches in the crest, but I think that's the best I can do, seeing as I can't really add holes and such to the crest.
Don't take this wrong i'm just trying to help
