I'm siding with your modlist here, because yours is the only such remark in literally 8 years in relation to action bars causing problems: This mod is basically a single patch file that changes "2" to "4".

Two notes: First, removing this mod after creating a character with the mod installed seems to have worked fine without any issues for me. Second, the reason I removed the mod is because something was causing my game to freeze for ~1 second nearly every time I opened a container, got a new item, or tried to move an item around in my inventory. I was going through and removing mods one by one that could've been causing that, and this seems to have been the culprit. Might be a mod incompatibility somewhere though, I'm using a huge custom modpack with all kinds of stuff (including larger inventory, larger action bar, refined storage, etc. Plenty of possible conflicts.)

No, it simply isn't necessary since it can't show anything but a default toolbar in a screenshot, regardless of how many pages it has.

Not really. It just swaps the pane, but it doesnt actuall number them.

I've used this mod before, works like a gem! One question tho. When pairing this mod with your FU interface mod, is there a way for there to be a visual indication that your on tab 3 and 4?

Not a big concern if not. Just curious for fluidity sake.

Works perfectly fine. Have confirmed this multiple times in recent memory.

The character thing may have been addressed in the 1.4 release of starbound. None the less, I would rather leave the warning there in the event it does, in fact, still cause issues (especially on removal, moreso than adding it in the first place)

I can't seem to get this mod to work either. Also doesn't get rid of my old saves like the description says.

it increases "pages" on your action bar. so rather than 2 you have 4. Seems to work fine for me.

Okay, so even with only this mod, Frackin' Universe, and Frackin' Music installed on freshly verified files, the number of action bars doesn't change.

Am I incorrect in interpreting that this mod adds additional action bars akin to the Bigger Action Bar mods? Perhaps I am mistaken; hard to tell without an image showing how it looks.

Thanks. I tried to follow the Incompatible Mods list on the wiki and checked that other mods said they work with FU, but I must have overlooked something.

This mod should work fine. Literally nothing in it has been changed since its initial release. You seem to have incompatible mods with FU installed, though, so its possible you have other stuff in there that interferes. You'll have to figure that part out on your own, though.

Returning to Starbound after many years away. Amazing to see how much the FU mods have changed! However, Frackin' Action Bars doesn't seem to be working for me.

I already verified files with no luck. I read through the log, and it looks like the game is loading both mods that I added manually to the game's "mods" folder and also the same mods from the Steam Workshop folder. However, if I remove the files from the game's "mods" folder, they don't load at all.

Well, firstly, you seem to have two copies of both FrackinActionBars and bk3s Faster Start. Limit it to one copy of each, for starters.

OTherwise....bit of a mystery. It's failing to find the Shadow race. No reason I can discern for why. Try verifying your files and see if that somehow corrects things. Also, backup your stuff and try a fresh universe and character and see what happens.

With FU, faster start "works" but is inherently incompatible (going to utterly butcher your starting system and potentially destabilize the entire mod progression as a result.) It says theres a conflict between them in the log, but it shouldn't cause the issue at hand.

That error would be better to see in the context of a complete log, but seems to have nothing to do with either mod. Coincidental timing.

Your error looks like the starbound engine can't find the definition for something used in that world, so the world currently cannot be used. That generally comes from is the following series of events -
1. You installed a mod that added something to the procedural generation pool.
2. Planets where generated with it - you may not have actually visited them but simply navigated over that area - that's all it takes. Generation once done is set in stone (unless you delete the planet's files).
3. The mod was removed.

Result - thing things that mod defined are no longer defined. Therefore the game engine no longer understands what it is looking at because it isn't defined.

I know it works fine. I didn't claim this mod isn't working in my second post.
It's something between this mod and Faster start
The point is that I want to know what, maybe you can help, maybe not. The only thing Faster start does is what I previously posted (patches to universe_server.config). I have no idea why that interferes with this mod because that file isn't touched.

If you can't help me out, that's totally fine. Then I'll just pick one or another.

Custom races work fine with this installed. I've been using it for years, dude. FU adds 13 races. Issue is not this mod, no matter how much you claim it is :)

I can only use this mod or faster start. With both, I can't use custom races.

Has absolutely nothing to do with races, and works fine. I have it installed currently, andam using a tenebrhae as my main. You have another problem.

yeah.. both players need to have this mod installed otherwise one won't be able to connect and will get dc with an exception.

Yeah you use both. Both do require new characters after subscribing, so you might as well bite that bullet for both at once.

Hello. Let me say, thank you for the mod, as well as FU. It's given me a wonderful new experience since beating Vanilla game, and I love the changes. I do have one question though, does this work with bk's sidebar? I did some googling but couldn't find an answer to this question.

Very, very useful if you want to have more than one weapon type loadout.
Like with me melee on set 1, energy/magic on set 2, ranged on set 3 while building and mining on set 4.

Does the character list issue also happen in reverse if you disable the mod?
