This works for me in A17 just fine. I have a ton of mods too. There is something that breaks this but no one can nail down what.

This could certainly use an update. It was a must-have in A16.

If the original creator has abandoned it, hopefully someone else can fix it back up.

i really wwish they would up date this its a must have mod idk why this is not all ready in then base game. it helps so much when you get raided and the trader are just standing there in the middle off shit get shot then they trun on you that shit is dumb

This is not working for me with A17. When I place the spot it creates a blueprint that needs 1 work to construct. Constructing it makes the spot disappear. Traders don't gather at the spot regardless if I construct it or not. I've tried on more than one colony, new or existing save. It saddens me because I really hate it when traders enter your colonists' bedrooms repeatedly when they're trying to sleep...

It appears to be working but it's hard to say, been having issues with traders not buying/selling certain items they used to and I am not sure if this is related or part of a17 or another mod conflict somewhere. For the most part though it does appear to work, but I still really hope it's given a once over and updated just to be sure.

it works as in they will go to the tradeing spot but they will never leave that spot every they will die there lol thats what happens to me any ways.

@helldwarf No, the trade spot and the caravan spots are two different things. This mod allows you to desginate where other caravans will hang out when they arrive, the caravan spot desginates where the player's caravans will form.

This is risky to have nothing worse than having two traders come at the same time that hate each other. WORSE is having the trade point in your base. LOL!

Thats a goood idea Dovah! I'm now more convinced I need not make a wide space for them, and will now dedicate a small section of my colony to housing them free from harm. Maybe once Ive settled more I can worry about providing for the 7 tribesmen and animals in the screenshot lol

@Jet Doesn't seem to matter wether or not they have roofs above their heads (Keeps them safe from lightning though). As far as I know they barely stay a whole day before leaving either way.
I personally put the trade spot somewhere central inside my colony (like inbetween my living area and warehouse/farm) so I'm bound to see them when they arrive, since I usually forget about the notifications after seeing it.

How does this interact with dubs hygene needs mod? Willl i need to provide comforts for the caravaneers? Wondering whether I should make a roofed building for them at all since...how long do they last in your base, a day?

Hmm. Maybe it is the first one you build and a mod just changes that in my game. Try a new save with the dev tools and build 3 outside, spawn a ship and trade with it. See which one it lands on.

@helldwarf Neither the last built nor the closest to the comms console seem to work for me. I tried uninstalling the beacon the items dropped near and moving that next to my comms console the only thing it did was push the item drops even further away. I have an open flat lands map with 3 tile wide walkways between all buildings so the items could drop literally anywhere without issue.
