You actually caught me at a good time, i'd just finished playing this DUWS version with the SOG AI mod, I highly recommend it. In SOG AI mod you have a simplified command system represented in a wheel that pops up and your AI team actually responds to movement orders when in combat mode quickly and can keep up with you. There's also a pretty sweet assault command where half of the squad leapfrog's the other half, providing covering fire for each other. They also automatically revive each other and the player and can be used on the Spearhead DLC as well. However it requires the Prairie Fire DLC and you have to play through local host and disable the DUWS X's AIS revive system in the parameters section by selecting No Revive for ACE medical. Everyone that uses Arma 3 ai squads should use this mod.

Yep, that's how I learnt. The Arma 3 engine is shit if you haven't heard already. My hopes are for arma 4's enfusion engine.

I Did all that. Im beginning to learn more and more that arma is unplayable the way I desire to play. Have to do 10hrs of research to just make the bodies stay. and at the end of it. Nothing

Delete the garbage collector i guess or whatever line of code executes the garbage collector, or add hours to the timer. I'm not sure if arma cleans up bodies anyway on its own to save resources. I haven't even messed with that code. The majority of the coding in these DUWS X versions was written by Killer Tomata, I just helped him to tweak some things and port it into Vietnam and WW2 as I had experience working on DUWS R for a number of years.
This game mode however needs all of the memory possible to run efficiently as it can end up spawning over 100 units sometimes and frame rates drop significantly. Mess with it if you want but it will effect your performance greatly. Get Agent Ransack and use it to search for key words or filenames related to garbage collection in the duws x folder then delete or comment out what you want to change. Sorry I cant be more helpful but I'm too busy to work on this anymore, other than very occasionally.

Hey man I love this mod. But in order to play it and Arma 3 in general I need the corpses to stay and not disappear. I have downlaoded the PBO and re edited this mod several times (changing the garbage collector values for corpses) and still the corpses on the map disappear after 10minutes. 10 minutes exactly. How do I edit this scenario to get the realism I require for a persistent war mod?

Very, all of the bases that spawn in zones are from unsung. I don't have the time anymore to change it, nor does the prairie fire dlc have enough objects to do it with. Plus the aircraft are mostly from unsung.

Not really sure how the builder works, I think it has an extensive inventory of fortifications etc. I've only used it once as it came in when I started working on this with Killer Tomata and his DUWS X version of DUWS

you've changed the wrong duws_x file. It sounds like you're using the vanilla version, this one doesn't have any modern factions in it.

@Lt Dang Having some trouble with choosing a faction I changed the maps for the unsung mod map but when i am choosing a faction it only shows the modern factions when would i change this? thank you for you help and hard work!

I think my installation / mod became corrupted somehow after installing the VCOM AI mod, it's not on your end. Will do a full reinstall and clear my workshop folder and I'm sure it'll be okay again.

One thing I noticed earlier was it said V-COM was enabled in DUWS, but when it got farther into the scenario it said it was false instead of true.

Something definitely broke for me, so I'll just reinstall.

There is an option when setting up the game which says "Faction limited arsenal" try changing that option, then tell me what happens please.

Tried several factions instead of just one, same issue. If I select 1968 faction they have an M16 like they should, but that's all that shows in the VA. Same with earlier time periods except it's the M14 as it should be, but again that's all that is in the VA.

Having a weird problem here, earlier today it was all working fine, but I went to play again and I can only select one gun in the Virtual Arsenal whenever I buy it at the HQ.

Hi LT. DANG, I love this mod and have been playing it since early this month. However I'm noticing a problem.

For the American factions, only the 1st Infantry Division 1965 faction seems to be working properly. Diversified variation of standard equipment, normal stuff.

However for the DEFAULT faction 25th ID / LRRP, every soldier has the exact same template loadout, none of them wear their helmets, they have M14s when they should have M16s, they all wear a headband instead of even a bandana, etc. It's all very strange - even their faces are exactly the same although very few of them are actually different.

I haven't tested this with the VC / NVA factions but I haven't noticed this with them myself, their loadouts and bodies all seem to be different and since I don't play as them, it doesn't really affect me nearly as much.

I dont have that problem, must be on your end. I would need more information to diagnose anything anyway, ie how many zones and zone sizes are you running, how many zones had you activated etc. You probably have too many units on the field, Arma starts crapping out at around 150.

The vietnam version of DUWS is not working optimally. I can never build more than 1 FOB`s. After I try to build my 2nd FOB from the server the game crashes instantly.

Oh this was made on an earlier version of DUWS_X. I'm waiting till Killer finishes the vanilla version, then this and the WW2 version will get updated. It will be a long time though.

If you don't think that your comment was a rude/entitled way of stating your opinion then I'd suggest that you take a good hard look at yourself. You've also shown your true colours with your next comment, bravo, you just proved my point. The old DUWS music script was broken, hence it was turned off in DUWS-R over 10 years ago. I added a new music script that changes the music depending on the combat situation then added a bunch of movie soundtracks as the arma music is sub par and wanted to put a bit of polish on a great game mode. I've had a lot of positive feedback from people about the music but NO! Salty Saeletra has spoken and wants it removed because your opinion matters sooooo much. No forget all the other people who like it Salty wants it removed, even though you could have just turned the music off like anyone else who doesn't like it. Why did you even comment in the first place? You didn't figure it out did you? What a bloody waste of time!
