I'm haviing an issue with the rain too, when it rains I never really see it. the sky certainly darkens and my companion comments on the fact it's apparently raining, but I never see nor even hear the rain, which is the opposite of the desired effect of course
4_Haydawn 15 Jul, 2016 @ 9:04pm
hey that pretty good
4_Haydawn 15 Jul, 2016 @ 9:04pm

Bitterman 16 Apr, 2016 @ 12:43pm
Hi. I often hear the storms (thunders, lightnings, cloudy sky etc..) but can't see the rain. Sometimes, however (almost never to be honest), rain is visible. Is this normal or do I have a problem?
PlayerTw0  [author] 2 Mar, 2016 @ 5:03pm
of course.
Sweet C 2 Mar, 2016 @ 1:03am
Oh, so you DO need CoT to get results!
PlayerTw0  [author] 27 Mar, 2015 @ 12:12am
its constantly always a texture replacement.
acidhail 22 Mar, 2015 @ 11:55am
is it constant or random??
PlayerTw0  [author] 11 Aug, 2014 @ 7:12pm
the basic on will. and it works with wet and cold.
Dreams 11 Aug, 2014 @ 1:55am
does it work with RCRN?
John Stamos 23 Jul, 2014 @ 2:49am
Does it conflict with the wet and cold mod?
Grim Holiday 30 Mar, 2014 @ 3:05pm
Climates Of Tamriel----COT
Viktor Nova 29 Mar, 2014 @ 2:27pm
what COT stands for?

To those who cannot get this to work: Make sure you are either using the steam workshop version of the mods (CoT, real lightning, real rain) OR the Nexus versions. I believe the CoT on steam is the "lite" version which is not compatable with the mods from nexus, and vice versa.

I used the ones from Nexus and here's a SS below.

Is there a fix for the rain issue? I.e. the rain is almost invisible... I've unsubscribed, deleted, resubscribed and reinstalled without improvement.
Vhestral 21 Dec, 2013 @ 1:29am
good but no
Slayer Seraph 11 Dec, 2013 @ 7:57am
Don't see the rain!! its too invisible and thin...
Also it feels like an on-screen effect. How come rains passes through cover like roofs, rocks, etc? the Vanilla rain wasn't doing that.
Didz 29 Nov, 2013 @ 8:18am
Couldn't help noticing that when wandering around town in a thunderstormm the veranda's and porches that should have provided some shelter were actually let the rain through.

i know it's a trivial point, and as far as I can tell I wasn't suffering as a result of getting wet, but nevertheless it was a bit dissapointing that the obvious ploy of keeping under cover didn't seem to work.
Hellfroste 4 Aug, 2013 @ 10:20am
Dat Chrono Trigger music.
Vikartana 7 Jul, 2013 @ 5:23am
How often does it rain in the game? Cause I am not sure whats up, but I have not seen a single rain storm nor snow storm. They only appear when I trigger them with console commands. I have this, climates of tamriel and the Wet and Cold mod installed.

Can I have a mod for a bright yellow poncho and yellow umbrella with stats of daedric armor and sword? Rain boots and hat would also be appreciated. I want to run around skyrim beating people with umbrellas, and it just wont work if I don't look the part.
Brett Keane 30 Jan, 2013 @ 5:51am
Gamer is full of it.
ksu 25 Jan, 2013 @ 10:15pm
:D
Inoksvere 3 Jan, 2013 @ 8:15pm
@Gamer Queen Rozen, if the game CTDs at the main menu, you're doing something wrong. It could be a mod conflict, incompatible file, or any sort of thing. I have zero problem with using the nexus, and prefer to use the nexus actually, as do many other people. Just go slow, make sure everything's good, and try turning off any other incompatible (or possibly incompatible) mod until the mod works.
Gingahkrautzen 23 Dec, 2012 @ 1:40am
this is awesome excellent work thanks
uncannyRobber 13 Nov, 2012 @ 2:53pm
With The nexus, whenever I manually install my mods, Skyrim shuts off at the main menu.. Help??
Crix 10 Nov, 2012 @ 7:23am
Thanks for this works great. I wish there was more interaction with wind though and not so stagnent. I hear wind, but I don't see it. Just an idea that is all. I appericate your work on this. CoT and Minty lightning mod with this really adds life to the weather.
SNK Okami 28 Sep, 2012 @ 11:08pm
Ah, understood
PlayerTw0  [author] 28 Sep, 2012 @ 4:51pm
well more rain isnt configured for cot anyhow.
SNK Okami 24 Sep, 2012 @ 11:47pm
Just wondering if this mod will conflict with More Rain mod
PlayerTw0  [author] 22 Sep, 2012 @ 2:29pm
oh just so people know cot 2.0 works with realrain cot still
Sacriliege! 8 Sep, 2012 @ 9:03pm
Space Wolf Hudson the birght color of the grass is becuase you are using Lush grass mods. i had to remove it inorder to restore it to the normal color pallet. try remove any mod that changings the colors of the grass.
SXRPXNT 6 Sep, 2012 @ 9:46am
hahhah çok iyi
PlayerTw0  [author] 3 Sep, 2012 @ 8:13pm
forgive me what i meant was 1.1b is fine the "final" edition that hes coming out with ill have to test when he releases it.
xXAlphasamaGXx 3 Sep, 2012 @ 6:38pm
ok them i wait i have this mod test out with climates of tamriel lite versiin very good now im wait for real rain cot for climates of tamriel 1.1.b very good! :)
PlayerTw0  [author] 3 Sep, 2012 @ 6:23pm
yeah at least until the new version comes out. at that point ill fiddle around to see what hes changed and if this mod is still compatible.
xXAlphasamaGXx 2 Sep, 2012 @ 11:46am
works with climates of tamriel version 1.1 b Full version on skyrimnexus?
PlayerTw0  [author] 15 Aug, 2012 @ 7:35pm
jj still needs to fix some of the various ambient settings to match the brightness of the imagespace. my mod doesnt change anything except 3 particle settings in the ck to set the size of the rain and 2 textures as the fillers for the rain.
Space Wolf Hudson 15 Aug, 2012 @ 10:10am
nevermind, I think its caused by CoT.
Space Wolf Hudson 15 Aug, 2012 @ 9:07am
If it rains, everything is getting darker because of the cloudy sky as it should, but not the grass: The grass seems not to be affected by the change of the lighting, its much brighter than the rest of the landscape. What is wrong?
PlayerTw0  [author] 28 Jul, 2012 @ 10:43am
you gotta rename the dds file and manually install it. theres a readme file with 5.1 options and you need to use the nexus version completely for it to work ie unpack the bsa.
despitestraightlines 28 Jul, 2012 @ 6:31am
I tried updating to version 5.1 (via Nexus site and Mod Manager) however it doesn't seem like it's the updated file (each download is 5.0.)
PMX 25 Jul, 2012 @ 8:30am
Hahaha
PlayerTw0  [author] 24 Jul, 2012 @ 3:44am
not happening with skyrim. there is a mod im looking at on nexus thats trying to address that sorta with vanilla rain but its still just trickery and doesnt work with custom lighting mods.

pretty much limitation of the old game engine they have been using since fallout3.
~akial~ 23 Jul, 2012 @ 11:30pm
object*
~akial~ 23 Jul, 2012 @ 11:29pm
i hate how if you rp in skyrim the rain goes through the ogject...they need to make little spashing sounds and little splashes on roofs, cobblestone, ect.
Kikuri9 23 Jul, 2012 @ 7:09am
cool
PlayerTw0  [author] 23 Jul, 2012 @ 12:03am
this doesnt effect sound only the raindrops. the sound should be changed by CoT.
Aliti_308 22 Jul, 2012 @ 9:46pm
where is the sound??
Ksen 22 Jul, 2012 @ 11:36am
