I'll have a look when I can, but I haven't been able to actually work on it properly for a while (cause I'm not very good at updating mods when I stop playing games for a while)

A smaller less efficient anchor block would be nice for smaller ships. the anchor is rather large. i like the size of the admin anchor, i can hide it.

it works as advertised, but... i tried it out to solve the micro drifting (like when you move around with like 0.1 m/s driving you nuts sadly it does not solve that problem, only anchoring does, if it would solve that problem or you do not mind moving by yourself then go for it, works as advertised

I was looking for a projector what can't move what so ever no extra power use,
I am a server admin and servers go down because people start to move with a projector on, and projecting a large ship while moving,
if you can make an over right to the vanilla block <so block limits still work>
so I can only build it on a station, and if the block is on the grid not able to turn into a ship?

so if i have a battle ship (mass=334m kg) with this anchor (state=off) on at and i am traveling at 100 m/s and then switch the anch on it would stop my ship in place?

Im surprised It's not a thing already in-game; unlimited energy, masive material cost massive size (i.e. 25x25x25 on large grid), and massive mass (im thinking an order of a million(s)+ kg by itself) effectively restricts it to massive stations or planetary structures.

Is infinite power enough??

Or it's basically a super strong mass effect field generator that only affects ships and stations which increase their mass to an almost immovable sum. Only Geth or an AI with the processing power 16x EDI's would be able to produce such a field generator and it would require a silly high amount of power to achive functionality.

I think you can jump INTO an atmosphere, assuming you have precise enough coordinates, but jumping out of one always seems cool

Reminds me of the escape from new caprica in BSG

well, that may be so, but the point i was making is that i wouldn't know how setting a ships natural gravity to 0 would affect jump drives if it's inside a gravity well. that mod is changing the jump drives themselves, not how ships interact with natural gravity

for getting to orbit, i don't really know. i dont think the gravity well has been changed since planets were first introduced. however, for what thrusters you need, i wouldn't actually know. every since they allowed for it to be modded, i have always used speed mods since the default speed is too slow, meaning re-entry has always been difficult and exit hasn't been too bad.

as for jumping, if i could actually set the natural gravity being applied to a ship, i think jumping would be possible. which could either be really broken or absolutely amazing. although, i don't know if they use a simple distance check to the centre of the planet rather than if there is gravity, since it might be a lot easier.

for 3, I was wondering planets in general, I haven't tried flying in atmo for awhile now, and I'm trying to design a functional ship that can at least enter/exit orbit, but I don't remember if ships need hydrogen thrusters to exit gravity

I think the only need is outside natural gravity for a jump drive to work....so a ship in atmo with this mod should theoretically be able to jump in or out

1 - yes, i dont actually mess with jump drives, so they would still work. i can add in the option to force them disabled on grids that contain a space anchor if you think it would benefit the mod.
2 - i genuinely don't know that, if i actually made a mod that properly cancels out gravity, it would enable jumping. there would still be atmosphere, and i don't know how that interacts with jump drives
3 - i haven't modified gravity wells with this mod, i don't even know if i could and it's not needed.

This looks really cool for small repair and refit outpost and stuff where the ships that are docking might be equal in mass or larger than the station. With this the ship can't move the station around by accident. Think the Pirates on my current server could make use of this if we were using mods since they have been jumping there intire shipyard when they decide to move on.
