1) Start a new game without the mod [vanila game] and save it.
2) Turn the mod on when you load the saved game.

Is there a way to only have these industries as ploppable? I start a new game and they appear all over the map, almost eradicating the default industries. That's not what I want.

the problem i have is fertilizer the error says i have it but idon't so i can't have any ind or it crashes??I have played this game since it came out no problem now the game will not play without crashing.

with regards to your post [below] about not being able to delete items once placed.

This mod should overcome that "issue" for you.

Is this savegame compatible ? Because I only want to use the rocket-launcher and rac-track in my game...I do like the mod, but I don't like the part that machines and other goods are produced from nothing. It makes the game to easy...

just a question, if i supply say a pile of machines to the gx tunnel industry, does it actually make a tunnel i noticed you have train tracks to it, what does this actually do. thanks alot?

Never mind, found it! "Debug Mode" in the game settings needed to be activated for it to show up. :-)

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I don't see the "Industry" button at the bottom in my games if I have this mod installed. I neither see it in Campaign nor in "Free Mode" with different start years (1850 and 1950 for example). Am using the latest Steam version of the game and the mod. Conflicting mods on my end? I don't think so. Only have some extra vehicles installed and the only industry related mods are your GX mods. Any pointers? Thank you very much!

I love the separation of tools and machines and stuff like that but the problem i have with this mod is it puts GX industry all over and you cant do suply chains. if you can do a version of this mod were the Gx industrys require things to make things I will Like that.

.....and buy a plop down industry in a smaller less developed town to make steel from the iron/coal mines, ship it forward to the more educated/populated next town so they can get tools, get machines and send to the "big" harbor (or what ever) by the town furthest away o (are there any vehicles besides airplanes that could leave the map? It would make it look better at least xD)

My point being: Use your skills to make interesting campaign missions! :D My main problem with the vanilla missions is that you often has to make ALMOST ALL CONNECTIONS and it makes it pretty dull. I like the missions where there is a good story to it, and it could still be an easy mission to do. I always run out of money on the vanilla missions because I pause and plan it out, even though I by cheap n shitty trains.

Anyways, if people makes campaign missions I'm going to play them!

Geloxo All these stuff you put up here seems to be material for several campaign missions. Are you working on any? Like the 2nd world war idea mentioned in the thread of the city estentions mod you made. But ofc... it doesnt need to be actual 3D made tanks, just take the "machine" name and rename it to something for war, like tanks, airplanes, weapons or what ever.
The story could be set in a European Allies country, and you need to repare a region struck by war (fix broken transport lines, missing street connections, small craters scattered out, a whole area could be gone and one could use the place-out-villages mod to get it back after landscaping out the crater, reconnect a farm to ship food) .....

For that you need a scripted mission, as the one in the campaign. You can manually set the construction progress in the industry properties during free play anyway, so that you can see the tracks and and so on. Enter its menu and click on any of the buttons under "running" label to set a particular construction progress. 0-10 demands bricks and 11 demands fuel. Refer to the table at the screenshots here in the mod description to see all configs for the rest of industries.

Sure, it´s not that difficult. Folder ID for this mod is 828814024. Go to GX_CON_stone dump.con file and edit the block under "constructionutil.makeStocks". Cargotype and stockrules sections define the goods rules for this industry. Some research on the tutorials will tell you how to adpat it. Same principle applies to rest of industries.

OK. Thanks again, Geloxo. I wouldn't really know where to begin. I guess with your mod, if I can find the "magic" numbered folder. :) I am a tad familliar with modding the basic_lua file and the settings file a bit. But, I guess I'll need to do some research on modding to try and get these buildings to create some kind of demand. *My "WWII Scenario" is just a thing I do in my head, not an actual mod that I'm creating....atm.

Dumps just accept goods, but you can always edit the config files included in the mod to make them produce and/or accept anything you want. Feel free and publish them even if you want. This is applicable to any item included in the pack cause I just used the files and models from the game with minor tweaks for my needs :-)

Thanks for this great mod, Geloxo. Quick question: Do "dumps"(places that accept stuff), create demand, or do they just accept the things as they come? I'm trying to create a WWII scenario, using "dumps" to act as supply points, but I'm having difficulty getting production up, regardless of how many "dumps" of a certian cargo I place within a depot/train stations catchment area.

Included in the mod pictures there is a list with all industries. Some are just consumers, meaning that there´s no output at all. You can just drop there. Others are just producers and will produce only (as the vanilla mines for instance). Regarding the refinery you just need crude on it to produce fuel.

Hello ,

i have a question about this MOD , for example , does the refinery with the Fuel icon still need the crude OIL ? also i saw some factories with steel icon but in the details it says it needs steel with no output product .
could any one explain how it works ?

The ones like bridge construction site have a visual effect only but you can connect tracks to it. Indeed I had to remove the visuals from the tunnel construction site because of collision problems when autogenerated map is loaded. It had a tunnel and tracks but they messed with existing roads and that crashed game. It´s a pitty as I liked that one a lot. I don´t use autogenerated maps, but a lot of people does and their game crashed making the mod useless.

Done Dorni. All construction assets are now not using the outer pieces of track, which were quite useless by the way. The assets are now also classified into custom submenu in the industry one for easier filtering (see latest screenshot). Updated in workshop now.

Thanks. I think the problem is the small piece of track+tunnel which is attached to the asset far away from the main structure. When a new game is auto generated containing this industry, if this collides with an existing town or industry crashes game. I have seen the same random behaviour with bridge construction site on autogenerated maps. It should not be a problem with existing savegames, as there the assets are already placed.

I will try to edit the .con files to remove those useless track items but I´m not an expert in the 3D composition part of the game :-)
