They arent the same as english months. For example Rains Hand dose not equal April. There their own months.

Dammit yankees, they couldn't remember for 7 unusual words.

Honestly, I never found Nirn's days of the weeks to be particularly confusing...
Sundas = Sunday
Morndas = Monday
Tirdas = Tuesday
Middas = Wednesday
Turdas = Thursday
Fredas = Friday
Loredas = Saturday

Morndas, Sundas, and Fredas are really close to the english ones
Middas makes me think "middle of the week"
I can tell Tirdas and Turdas appart because Tur might as well be Thur

And who honestly cares about the months in these games? The seasons don't really seem to change...

"Gregorian calendar", cough. Nice idea for the ones having trouble keeping up with the days. I rather have the immersion tho, but is good to have alternatives.

For anyone wondering if the Calendar in the game has any use, yes it does. There are several quests in which you have to find people at certain times as well as days.

There is no real reason for the months, as there isn't any seasonal weathering, but the week days are very much useful. Being able to understand them at a glance instead of trying to remember which is which actually is a nice tweak, although it kind of makes it less um Dovahkiin'ish.

All personal preference really, but yes, week days are used in several quests.

@ArticYetteh Oblivion series?! MUST.... RESIST... KILLING... :P
Estoc Bestoc 9 Feb, 2012 @ 9:15am
ahh, guys...thats...dumb. The Calendat serves a purpose...to tell you wich day, time, month, year is...also its understandable...if you didnt fell on your head...
Soren 9 Feb, 2012 @ 8:03am
LOL great idea hehe. Though I like the names of the in-gmae calender better haha. "See you next Fredas!"
Dan de Broccoli 9 Feb, 2012 @ 1:56am
@Jackard, the calendar in-game does not have any purpose on the game, it's just there for something I'm not sure if. There might be something that it is used for, but I'm not quite sure yet.

This is a quite good mod, this one. Now I know what the time is, without having to look it up in the wiki. Thanks, mate. I'll see you later on Steam and I'll try the mod out. Good work, James :)

Does the calendar actually have a purpose in game? Are there seasons or events or something?
Yetalis  [author] 9 Feb, 2012 @ 12:12am
Also commenting to PullusPardus. This mod does make it less immersive, but some people including me, don't like to have a deep scale of immersion and wish to have something more down to earth that we can understand! :D

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
I will state that this mod isn't for what i call your average hardcore skyrim players, this is for people like me and average joe who just play skyrim and don't know to much about the Oblivion series, so wan't to have a English calender, also for people who don't know what the days and months mean in Oblivion or perhaps anyone who likes an english calender.
Reaper4020 8 Feb, 2012 @ 11:52pm
That's funny, the picture there in English is my birthday XD
Emo Gendered Slut (Dandy) 8 Feb, 2012 @ 8:31pm
Until I saw this, I never realized that they were just different names for our days and months. I literally thought it was some made up time scale that would take reseach to understand @_@
alMagotes 8 Feb, 2012 @ 6:02pm
Cool idea, im sure some will like it. I prefer the other-worldlyness of made up days and months.
thejadefalcon 8 Feb, 2012 @ 5:29pm
It's confusing to you...? I understood what all the months were the moment I first loaded up Oblivion. They're not that difficult to comprehend.
angrykenji 8 Feb, 2012 @ 3:41pm
handy to have, thanks!
Tummamu 8 Feb, 2012 @ 1:36pm
this makes it less immersive.
