The thing with Cities Skylines is it's built using Unity, and so the modding community can seemingly harness a lot of code built into the engine that isn't necessarily directly related to Cities Skylines - people who know what they're doing in Unity can practically turn it into a different game.

It's unlikely with Transport Fever, as the engine is designed from the ground up just for this game, so it's likely pretty difficult to mod in entire game mechanics that aren't already part of the design.

@[CN]Archer: Do not worry, I really appreciated your wonderful review, it means a lot to authors when they get praise for their work.

Just look At the link I sent. It isnt necessarily taking control of a pedestrian.

All it is, is moving the camera down to ground level. Im not talking about moving a pedestrian or vehichle or anything. Just being able to go down to ground level. I asure you it can be done. You would need a script to change the camera when you press abutton or press a key or zoom in with the mouse. Go check out the mods of cities skylines youll see exactly what I mean.

In other words, take control of a pedestrian and move them about with the keyboard instead of just following their predetermined path. That is in the hard code I believe. It would be interesting, but since you can just grab any pedestrian or vehicle and follow that, ... still, having a "freeform camera" mode would be helpful for close up inspections of 'problem areas'.

Sadly, it is beyond my ability.

Take a look at the code and see if it's copyable/applicable to this game in sime ways? Maybe not but you could learn something :)
ExoticParallel 2 Jan, 2017 @ 3:28pm
Yes but that only gets you so far. I want to be able to just walk through the streets in first person. And go on the ground and watch planes landing. Which is something you cant do because you cant look up and you are still to high up anyway.
BuffHamster  [author] 2 Jan, 2017 @ 3:25pm
I don't have Skylines, I do have Cities in Motion 2 though. Have you ever followed a pedestrian onto a train and rode the train to the next station in this game?
ExoticParallel 2 Jan, 2017 @ 3:21pm
Lol thanks for that explanation buddy. I have 300 hours in this game I know about that feature
I assume you didnt play cities skylines it had a first person camera.
What I mean is the abillity to put your camera down to ground level and walk around on the surface

Heres a link to one of the dozens of these mods for cities skylines

The game already has such a thing, or at least from the perspective of any town resident, private car, or your own vehicles: trucks, trains, trams, ships and aircraft.

When you click on any mobile object, i.e. person or vehicle, a screen pops up of that object. When you hover your mouse over the lower left corner of that object's picture, a little camera icon becomes visible. Click on that and you will follow that object's transit path. This works on almost anything in the game that moves, including pedestrians.

From this, you can find out where people live, work, or shop.

Is that what you mean by "first person"?
ExoticParallel 2 Jan, 2017 @ 1:58pm
Since you know alot about modding in this game, do you know whatr it would take to make a first person mod?

Is it possible? How would it work? Im surprised it hasnt been released yet from the community. Cities skylines had a mod like this very quickly.

NOTE: Im not asking you to make one, im just asking if its possible

@[CN]Archer: Thank You! , ... one question, what is "moon wood"? I used this example:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/88/Railroad_tieswoodconcrete.jpg/220px-Railroad_tieswoodconcrete.jpg

Did you know that there is also a "composite plastic" railroad tie (sleeper)?
地瓜之秀 2 Jan, 2017 @ 3:50am
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=832565030 This is really good than you previously developed the black version, easier to identify the "high-speed and standard orbit" and the moon wood color saturation is higher to better reflect the real feeling.

I can't help you then, as it has nothing to do with this texture package. There is nothing I can change, modify, alter, add, to change that error for you. Again, it is a LUA 'file not found' error for a model file that the Texture package simply does not have. Something is messed up on your end somewhere.

You might try deleting your texture cache in the userdata folder, or reinstalling that mod but beyond that ? I have no control or influence for that specific error.
ExoticParallel 1 Jan, 2017 @ 10:09pm
I had that mod, never placed anything from it removed it from my save game and unsubscribed. But the error persists
BuffHamster  [author] 1 Jan, 2017 @ 10:06pm
The linked image shows a LUA 'file not found' error, namely

railroad/dma/Asig_2_Sz3_Sz7_Sz78.mdl

... which is not in the Enhanced Track texture package. It is a "model" file from another mod (the DMA Railways Signals to be exact). I would suggest you look at the other possible conflicting mod:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=802350204&searchtext=DMA

I have tested the Textures in game (see screenshots in the description) and they work fine.

The "Brown" Track Textures were used in the original mod that combined the Euro Terrain and Rail Textures. The "Grey" Track Textures are new.
ExoticParallel 1 Jan, 2017 @ 8:58pm
so which train texture were i the original mod?
