Q: Why is xyz not a desert/forest/grassland/etc?? It should be some other terrain type!
A: I can't control terrain types with that degree of accuracy. I've tried my best to tweak the climate settings enough to get something that approaches Tolkien's world, but there's only so much I can do. So Mirkwood will be drylands, and we'll just have to live with that.
Ugh, I know right? Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about that. The system that generates trade nodes in the RNW is 100% hard coded, so we just have to deal with what the game gives us.
Yes, feel free. Though please credit me accordingly if you release it as a mod.
I had thought about it. But I'm totally wrapped up in another project right now, so I'm out of the tile-making business for now. There is already a mid-sized Westerose tile out there already though.
Thanks for the reports! Sorry I've been AWOL on this lately. I aim to get an update up soon with those bugs fixed up.
A non-contiguous province of 119 179 0 that includes the most northerly island in north-eastern archipeligo and the island connected by a strait to the south coast of the north-eastern mainland (the connected mainland province also has a few pixels of sea in it)
A 3 pixel province 195 217 130 on the south-east of the wasteland in the largest island in the same north-eastern archipeligo.
Great work though!
btw I found some more work for you ;)
single pixel province 197 217 98 inside 220 242 109 (just north of the big wasteland to the east. around 1300x600)
single pixel province 13 89 128 inside 15 98 140 (water northeast of the previous one. around 1640x230)
single pixel province 32 0 191 inside 179 179 179 (wasteland south of mordor)
3 single pixel provinces 0 0 0 in water in the southern archipelago around 1400x1600 and 1 in a lake at 1600x1000
Thanks for the heads-up! These issues are hard to catch. They should all be fixed now.
There is a single pixel of Foranduin inside Dunanduin
A single pixel of Carrack inside the province NE from iron hills (unnamed in mod file)
Same betwen two unnamed provinces below iron hills (doesn't really matter as they're next to eachother anyway)
A single pixel province west of the sea of rhûn
I hear ya. I'll try tweaking the climate settings to make that area a desert, but it's a delicate art. Making it really dry might break other parts of the map.
@Beleg Maethor
Read the FAQ.
Obviously this is a small thing, so if it's too much bother it's probably not worth it.
Either way, great tile! :)
Unfortunately yes.
Read the description. The whole thing.
