@Fus one light is the headlight, the others are the markers. in the day time it's one of the headlights, and in the night it's the other.

@Fus as far as fallen leafs or 1mm of snow can stop british railways xD that lights have good expl. - all lights are working only from the outer side so driver can see side of the track, while from inner side only one - not to blind the train going other direction on the other track :cleankey:

Because it is British Rail, can't epect everything to work properly :)
