I have explored whether or not it would be simple to reupload it as a new mod, but the DLCs and new patches mean that it would take quite a bit of work to make the mod compatible with the new mechanics and patches. Perhaps if Valve/Paradox hadn't fucked up their launcher, and as such let me update the mod regularly after each patch, it wouldn't be so damn difficult. But alas, this workshop page cannot be updated for some reason, as the launcher won't let me update it.

I will not be updating the mod. If anyone wishes to update the mod properly to the new patches and upload it themselves, they should feel free to do so. Just make sure that it is done properly, because there's a few things you'll need to figure out and fix. I can't be bothered.

If anyone wishes to do the same, but instead use the mod in their own mod, I'm perfectly ok with that as well, just don't forget to credit the mod :)

In any case the new DLC has a decent Japanese national focus tree, so the point of this mod is kind of gone.

Try creating another steam account and uploading it through that (with family sharing or whatever it is called so you don't need to buy a new version of the game)

its a bit fiddely because microsoft doesnt let me edit text files inside the .zip file. so i had to copypaste it inside the zip from outside in edited form oO dunno whats up with that

Also the fact that the workshop just numberes all your games and all your mods xD makes finding one you are looking for really annoying

Also your focus tree is 10 times better than the "lets completely ruin japan" focus tree from paradox^^ they are my favorite nation to play and i just could not stand how much terrible the dlc focus tree is

Azurai, the generals and field marshals are located in the "ideas" file. This however, also contains the national ideas that I've added.

So you could copy paste the data of the commanders into the ideas file from the mod, replacing the "old" commanders. That should work.

Alternatively play without the ideas file, the focus tree itself can still work, although it won't give you the national ideas that some focuses give you.

thats sad :( because japan needs a focus tree rework now more than ever, after paradox murdered them with the update, turning them into the worst contry in the game. it currently works normally but all the generals skills and abilities get messed up unfortunately.

Just saying, you will probably get alot more subs for this from now on xD because nobody wants to play japan with the new "china is supposed to win"-edition focus tree.
