Sounds nice, in concept...
Here's hoping this gets updated some day. :steamthumbsup:

This module destroyed the map in my archive.
thedarklordkitten 7 Aug, 2021 @ 7:50am
Hello there, thank you for your mods. Any chance this could be updated to B41.52+ ? Another fix by planetalgol is around, but is not really updated since last year. Thanks in advance.
blindcoder  [author] 31 May, 2021 @ 12:24am
@nimrond: All player-built structures have the "IsoThumpable" property, but so do Doors and Windows, so that's not really a unique property.

@Ghost: It's been a while since I looked into it, maybe there's a new property by now.
Chilled Sloth 30 May, 2021 @ 7:39pm
Huh, how can e.g. Zombies be attracted to player-build structures if those aren't differentiated from other structures?
But yeah, not a PZ modder either, so I can't help. Sorry. :/

How much would gravity have to ease up on the law to allow all prefab structures like the grand mall to remain standing in the game?
Ghost993514 30 May, 2021 @ 1:44pm
Interesting. I always thought that they were already designated as prefabs.

Is there any sort of 'ownership' tag or something that keeps other players from messing with X player's buildings?

Maybe you could tie it to that somehow.

To be frank, though, I've never modded this game or even dipped my toes into it, so I have no clue.

There may be a Discord or something, or maybe you could post it in Discussions and a dev/modder could help you.

blindcoder  [author] 30 May, 2021 @ 10:51am
If you know any way to distinguish player built structures from prefab structures, I'm all ears to include that check.
Chilled Sloth 30 May, 2021 @ 7:42am
I wish Ghost993514's solution would be included into this. Until then, I can enforce similar rules for myself. ;)
Ghost993514 1 Jul, 2019 @ 5:28pm
Yeah.. I don't think floors should have to be so close to walls unless it's built by people.
Neo-Kerozen 3 Aug, 2018 @ 7:51am
A few house and a warehouse in Muldraugh (the one with 2 floors) collapsed while I was on the roof :D rip ...

Neitronus 12 May, 2018 @ 1:34pm
What about west point mall being destroyed by this mod? I'm talking about several floors collapsing (some shops on 2nd floor are completely destroyed and spilling out their loot on 1st floor). Is there any fix for that?

Same stuff happening on several modded maps like South Muldraugh etc.
blindcoder  [author] 22 Apr, 2018 @ 3:17am
it might still be in there. not exactly sure when I'll have time to look into this again.
Vsratiynaturalist 21 Apr, 2018 @ 2:06pm
Is "moving furniture from second floor will result floor collapse" still there? If yes, any plans on fixing it?
Clerkius 6 Jan, 2018 @ 5:54am
This one's an EXCELLENT CHOICE!
Gabe Newell 6 May, 2017 @ 10:56am
gravity, who gives a crap about gravity?
blindcoder  [author] 1 May, 2017 @ 11:01pm
@kolsto
That may be a distinct possibility. This shoud be discussed on the PZ discord instance. See the "Discord Chat" link in the top right on http://theindiestone.com
kolsto 1 May, 2017 @ 9:02pm
Do you believe it would be possible to create teams like in Xcom apoc? With the same movements like crawling, sitting, sniping etc. This Zomboid game has still some very large locked potentials almost all games today are lacking. Sometimes it is not so much abut graphic, but more around the story itself. Also in Xcom we could sneak around in sewers and place huge minefields and let incendiary grenades float around on the floor effectively turning the entire sewer into a huge furnace burning countless enemy soldiers into crisp without shooting more than a "lure" shot to make the enemy come your way. Sorry for asking some maybe moronic questions, im just very thrilled over seeing the development of this Game.
blindcoder  [author] 1 May, 2017 @ 12:52am
@kolsto:
Yeah, the crashing effect from XCom:Apoc is a good thing, but I haven't managed to replicate that in PZ yet.
kolsto 30 Apr, 2017 @ 10:46pm
Alot of good gravity ideas to copy&upgrade on Xcom Apocalypse from 1997. Im sadly not a wise man in creating anything, have only a ton of sadistic/entertaining ideas ;)
blindcoder  [author] 13 Apr, 2017 @ 2:37am
I'm sorry for the endurance of that bug, I don't have much time to work on it right now. It'll be fixed eventually, though!
greexx 12 Apr, 2017 @ 1:31pm
Kina im sorry but that kinda funny not the ruining your playthrough but that a desk was holding a floor up
♥Kina♥ 10 Apr, 2017 @ 11:16am
@Thrandisher; Yeah, I had a similar experience happen a few months ago with a good bit of the floor collapsing in the food market in west point when I removed a wooden desk here; https://map.projectzomboid.com/#0.6657255743157534,0.1170702635137847,836.1570306923626 (((Switch to level 1))) It ended up completely ruining my playthrough and thus I removed the mod for the time being to wait for it to be more polished before I use it. I don't know if it's still like that now, but seeing as how you had that happen I wouldn't be surprised if it still had a few issues.
Ullatec 28 Feb, 2017 @ 2:15pm
Pillars do work.
Romzie 28 Feb, 2017 @ 2:09pm
Suggestion: allow pillars to be used as support for structures too? walls are great but for giant open spaces it'd be nice to use those wooden pillars to hold up the floors.
agreubill 28 Feb, 2017 @ 5:56am
Got something similar to Thrandisher in the little platform inside warehouse south of Muldraugh ; removing a file cabinet instantly make halk the platform collpases (near 10716*10418). Also, on the roof of the warehouse south of Muldraugh (in the forest), upgrading a wooden frame wall on the roof make that last collapses w/o warning... :s
blindcoder  [author] 30 Jan, 2017 @ 12:38am
ooh, yeah, that sounds like a bug. The mod really should only fire when a wall got destroyed. I'll look into it!
Ullatec 29 Jan, 2017 @ 12:01pm
Ran into something earlyer that might be a bug. First a picture!

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/thrandisher/screenshot/96100906326881094

That is the warehouse in the north of the main town. Ok, as you can see there is no floor now. I removed a plastic chair that was at the bottom there and the floor caved in.

From what i would guess. I removed the chair, the mod did its magic and said, Hey something changed, lets check for beams/walls. With there being none it caved it. But it was a chair and not a actual destroy or wall movement.

Needless to say if anyone comes in on the server and blindly runs out there is in for a surprise, lol.

Ullatec 25 Jan, 2017 @ 3:52pm
Of perfect. That should fix the problem i ran into in the screnshot there. Shame that it does add alot of space around tho.
blindcoder  [author] 25 Jan, 2017 @ 12:30pm
I just uploaded v0.4.1 that fixes two null pointer exceptions and marks pillars of stairs as carrying walls (similiar to wooden poles). That means you can now build around stairs without additional support structures.
blindcoder  [author] 25 Jan, 2017 @ 4:42am
yeah, I have already found the error, it's a one line fix, but I won't be able to upload until tonight.
Ullatec 25 Jan, 2017 @ 2:56am
I tried it 3 differnt times. Figured id do a screenshot, probably wont make a difference but the cords were around, 10815,10415,0 for that trailer there. /shrug.
But like i say, i saw that error msg apear on server console, so i ported to the person, figured id go up stairs to see and boom.
blindcoder  [author] 24 Jan, 2017 @ 11:49pm
It's weird that you got stuck. So far, I always fell down...
Ullatec 24 Jan, 2017 @ 3:25pm
Ran into a nasty bug it seems. User ran by the trailer i was using as a testing bed and LUA error appeared on server console. I went there to see what was up. Stairs was still standing but all ceiling was gone. Ran up the stairs and was totaly stuck.

I know when you build stairs, it adds a single spot so you can build on the next level, but with there being no supports to keep that one tile up, your basicly stuck there. Could be used for griefing pretty easy for ppl not fully paying attention.

Screenshot here of it, ill toss the lua code on TIS that apeared when a user ran by the building.

0.3.4
But it after two update yesteday... I test it more today
blindcoder  [author] 22 Jan, 2017 @ 10:12am
@Leliana
Can you check which version of the mod you are running? It should be in the mod.info file.
Ullatec 22 Jan, 2017 @ 9:44am
Double post!

No errors whie loading up.

Multiplayer servers are now working as intended.

Ullatec 22 Jan, 2017 @ 9:35am
Ok, ill do some more testing. I couldnt get it to duplicate, but i only tried a few items. BTW, there is another update done, but its to fix a differnt thing. If i can get my server to update to new version, ill do some more testing also for the duplicating on servers.
Leliana 22 Jan, 2017 @ 9:17am
@Thrandisher in muiltiplayer. After update we restart server and on login colapsed few floors. Items on this floors has dublicates on lower level
Ullatec 22 Jan, 2017 @ 8:13am
Hmm, im not getting the duplicated itembug myself on a server.
@leliana
Is it on a Mulitplayer Server or is it Solo play, that your getting the item duplication?
blindcoder  [author] 22 Jan, 2017 @ 7:53am
@Thrandisher
GREAT!
Ullatec 22 Jan, 2017 @ 7:52am
@blindcoder
Ok, Short answer is yes, it fixed the problems. Infact i was able to take damage for first time from ceiling falling on top of me.:deadrat:
Longer part of short answer : Getting 2 errors on server loading related to Gravity, ill post on TIS due to length. But so far intial tests show it is working as intended on servers now, compared to before when it wasnt.
blindcoder  [author] 22 Jan, 2017 @ 7:51am
@Leliana
That error should be fixed in an older version... I'll look into it again.
Leliana 22 Jan, 2017 @ 7:44am
A you sure what items in client not sended on server few times if near few players?
Leliana 22 Jan, 2017 @ 7:18am
After updating mod collapsed several buildings. Items on the floors are copied on each floor below where the floor collapsed. Few buildings are not built by players. It is map mod parts
blindcoder  [author] 22 Jan, 2017 @ 4:02am
@Thrandisher
I just uploaded a version that should remove all the client-side code. Can you please try again?
blindcoder  [author] 19 Jan, 2017 @ 10:58pm
@kenkade4
That already happens. If something crashes down on you, you get hurt.
Kenkade™ 19 Jan, 2017 @ 6:22pm
When a floor falls above you, you should atleast get hurt, don't over complicate it cuz it might bug.
Ullatec 16 Jan, 2017 @ 2:15pm
Running out the door in a minute. Posted error on TIS forums. I am using maps, so those errors might be related to that. Ill do alot of checking tonight when i get back.
Ullatec 16 Jan, 2017 @ 10:21am
I just had a nice 16 hour power nap. I gotta run some apointments today, ill post later on there on the forums. I noticed after i restarted the game, some of the roof disapeared finnaly. I took out some more of the wall, got some errors, restarted, and nothing changed. I wanna do a few more things to make sure.
blindcoder  [author] 16 Jan, 2017 @ 1:29am
@Thrandisher
Let's move this to the forums, post the server log in my thread:
https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/21837-obey-gravity-its-the-law/

@Kreksar
Sorry, I don't run a server and know nothing about it :(
