I will attempt to rework this for mp local hosted gaming rigs and fix errors I find.
This will be a-bit as I have a-lot of things I am working on.
I will also prolly add in a few other items from my current works.

Also, requesting permission from the author to take this over since it hasn't been updated in awhile.

Came over after a coment on the Mobile Processor, it is very cool that you included it in this awsome looking mission, thank you. Also, as I have not touched it for ages, if there needs to be any changes/updates to it let me know.

I seem to be unable to load the game because it says it was made in a newer form of the game or a different branch however im on normal and up to date. what should I do?

I started to not make it dark, but I used to go to caves when I was a kid, and without a light it really is pitch black, so I figured it was fitting with the other realism type mods.

I've got a tunnel drone ship I use for atmo planets. works greate. but that darkness is disturbing.

You know how difficult it is flying through dark caves with only a spotlight on the front and no 3rd person? 8O

Is it possible to play this with a friend at all? He can join my world just fine but there are obvious problems spawning him. I tried plopping down in creative to see if it was possible to "cheat" him in, but no luck.
These are the kind of adventures I'd love to play with friends, not necessarily solo :)

Looks like you can workaround that by editing the file. I would think the problem would resolve its self once stable gets its next update.

Build your ship with several extra gyros, and then make a toggle in your cockpit to switch 1 to "Override" this works wonders. No scripts needed. makes your ship rock solid

Glad you are having fun, I'm currently flying around to try and find an ice source and deciding where to build a base. Last couple games I've built underground, and it takes longer, but I still haven't built the underground base I really want to yet. I definitely takes some effort to fly with the realistic thrusters mod, I've been playing around with the Flight Assist script and had to re-learn how to fly, but I'm on it now and have a good working scout ship with only forward and up engines. I am considering a followup map, but going to be playing this for a while I think.

Hell even the alien signal could be cords hidden somewhere near the crash site, so you have to find that too.

The first time i came up on the alien signal it was dusk, what a sight! I explored a little but had to leave before my supplies ran low, and i almost got lost in the caves.
I checked out 2 of the salvage sights.... didn't bring anything that could haul though, its hard enough making a shuttle to get me around fast (400m/s)
The aerodynamic mod is awesome, perflecty works with the game, I can't play space engineers without it. I love the effects if you manage to go supper fast in atmosphere.

Visually the crash site is great, its very good work. The game needs caves, those where cool, being inside was just like playing astroneers.

Now add a few things in deep space to reach!

And hide all but like 1 of your waypoints.... say the alien signal... and put something at the alien signal that leads to the next waypoint... like a wreck or something with a gps cord on a sign or something.... so you have to find each place one at a time.

This mod combination is the best! I am one of those people that living to place maps just like this. You nailed it.
Its realistic mode, which I love, makes everything a challage.
Everything had to be balanced to fly right, or use other skills.
No jetpack makes this a whole new game.
I love your combination of mods, everything makes the game bet.
Now for some spoilers from my playthrough....
First thing i noticed was the ship still had some fuel in the reactor, so right away i could turn those on to run the assemberler, (way too easy) I was able to make some tanks by using debris from a reactor i found outside.
A little digging and i was able to make the crashed ship fall over on its belly... (a few reloaded saves because sometimes i caused some kind of physics glitch where the ship would explode and fly miles away)
I made that ship my base. Built a shuttle and went exploring.

lets hope indeed, it would be making alot more exploration and hidde secrets to find. it makes it more fun and enjoyable

I really hope Keen gets inspired by Astroneer and adds caves to the game.
