Mod works fine with normal game.

Does not work with Vox populi which is a shame. Or at least havent been able to make it worl.

Works just fine for me. Made my own custom map with max dimensions, but the game registers it as a duel sized map. Now by changing duel from 2 to 8 in the xml, it works just fine.

can you make a mod like this but instead of adding the possibility of more religions in game, adding more major civilizations in game, like for the largest size having up to 30 civs instead of 22.

Thank you for this mod Cirien, after my last playthrough I did not invest into faith enough and was left religionless, but I had a ton of faith to spend because of my shrines and temples. Probably do to the fact I played on a huge map with the max 22 civs on it. I knew I could've beaten the civs to the punch so to speak IF I didn't have raging barbarians destroying everything and a friendly civ who suddenly became my enemy and attacked me because he thought I was weak. I guess all's fair in love and Civilization V. Peace!:steamhappy:

Hi, if one uses the mods that split some of the religions, like Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, thereby blowing up the number to >4, can there be >8 religions?

Also, as Zachita asked, if there a way to make only certain religions selectable? Like if one is playing something like the 30 year war, there is no role for Judaism or Islam or anything else there. If one is doing the crusades, there should only be Christianity and Islam, maybe Buddhism (for the Ilkhanate) but certainly no Zoroastrianism or Judaism or Sikhism.

do you have a mod that REDUCES the amount of religions? I like religions in game, but I should be able to decide how many I want allowed in a game. If I was a muslim/christian battle, I should be able to do that. If I want to have a teamed game, I shouldn't have to worry about my team ai making their own religions to compete with me... when they are on my team. There simply needs to be a way to control religion presets better.

Would this work in reverse? So having less religions on a map? I would prefer it if there were fewer religions that could spread more.

This might be the answer: even with bloublou's religion expansion there are only 11 founder beliefs. Maybe 11 is the highest value that can be set?

This is exactly what i was looking for! But my great prophet doesn't offer me a religion even though four more can still be founded. I set the limit to 14 and used historic religions. then I realized that 13 is the number of vanilla religions and maybe historic religions isn't compatable or something. I'm also using BNW. Also, I'm playing on a giant yagem map, and 14 was the number which appeared, which is the value I set for huge maps in the xml. I think that answers scott's question, although I don't know if that mod is the reason my prophet is impotent

How does adding more possible religions with the XML work exactly?
I have the BouBou's extra beliefs and Historic Religions but when I went into the XML and changed huge to 15 (+7) no change was made.
I then tried 8 (+7) no change was made.
So could you please explain how I am supposed to get 15 religions rather than 8?

Giant maps? You mean user created maps which are bigger than huge?
I guess it depends on how the map was specified. Usually map creators have to set a map size, I suppose that a "giant" map will be actually a "huge" map, just with more tiles.

They should actually get +1 religion then, but no guarantee. Just try and see ;)
