@EVERYONE - I'm overhauling and revamping my Dark Species Collection. There are currently 84 different cultures in my Collection (12 colors * 7 cultures) and that's unsustainable, especially with Patch 1.9 being basically a complete overhaul of the time. I've got to cut the fat off these mods before that patch comes out.

Therefore, I've found a way (finally) to adapt my Dark Species Collection to Paradox's crappy-but-all-I-got recolor system, which means each of these mods will be cut down from 12 cultures to one, which will change colors with the Flag. The one remaining Cityset will be dark and white, the survey beam will be white, and the engine exhaust/blinky lights will be vanilla values.

While this will mean less coloring, it will also give a good opportunity to really update the coding and make sure everything functions properly, and this will be MUCH easier for me to maintain. I'm going to do the update on all 7 mods then release them all at once. Thanks for your patience.

@EVERYONE - Mod updated to support the habitat diffuse introduced with Utopia. I apologize for the delay in it's support. I have also updated the mod to support CITYSETS for all cultures, so you can have a shipset and cityset to use for your cultures. Furthermore I updated the mod to support "Useful Stations 2.0 - Citadel Included" to further the Dark Species Collection's built-in support. Finally, I fixed numerous errors so hopefully my mod will cause you less trouble.

@DracoMcGee - I'm not the best person to assist you with weaponry as that is not my normal area. Guilliman created a great weaponry/utility mod as well, and he has been activate there as of 4 days ago. So, I would again ask him for assistance, as he would know more than I.

Inspired me a bit to try looking into modding myself. Would like to try and create a "colorful weapons" mod. giving mid-high tier weapons with color variations in line with your shipset color options, (since using red colored ships and not being able to use red lasers without penalizing myself makes me a sad boy) mostly for energy/missile weapons. Need to find someone to show me the ropes though ^.^

@DracoMcGee - Yes, I have. And no, I will not be doing such shipsets, for a few reasons:

1. They are hard... very hard to pull off. Black hull hides flaws, never mind looks cool. White actually enhances flaws (see the "nice" shipsets in my Christmas Holiday Shipset mod). I'm okay with diffuses, but I don't know all the tricks of the trade. I've got a friend showing me tricks I didn't even know where possible. Given that Reality is starting to take more and more time, and I'm currently working on an NSC Extra Playable Races Expansion, I've decided not to.

2. When I got started, it was just me doing this sort of shipsets. Sure, there were a few random others, but no "full support" shipsets for everything with color options. Guilliman and I created our Plantoid shipsets at the same time, and we agreed to "split" the workload for our own sakes: I would take dark, he would take light, each of us getting one exception (my Christmas ships and his dark Plantoid). If you want lighter colored ones, Guilliman is the person to ask.

Have you thought about making a similar version of this mod but a bright shipset version instead? white and/or silver shipsets with your same coloring scheme?

@Zero - Okay, I'm not sure what's going on. Subscribe to this mod, start Stellaris, and in the launcher, make sure that you have the mod activated, and when you get into the game, go into the Empire Designer for one of your species (or make a new one) and inside the Ship Appearance tab at the bottom, scroll down through the options and the Dark Molluscoid Shipsets should be there somewhere.

If that doesn't work, unsubscribe/resubscribe to the mod, then verify your Stellaris files. At that point it should work. Please tell me if it does or not.

How/where do I get to choose the colors? or do I not? I dont see any options, Idk what I am doing wrong to try to see these cool new colors

@Lord Hand - I think that's a vanilla issue actually. I couldn't find an energy torpedo entry in the files, so I had to make one. All Molluscoid Shipsets should now have molluscoid turrets for Energy Torpedoes. I'm going to have to add this to the next NSC update too, this is just weird.

@Lord Hand - I'll look into the energy torpedo issue, but I'm not sure why that would happen. I'll see what I can do.

Also, the "flipped" sections of NSC ships are intentional, as it helps certain species ship classes in appearance.

Also noticing some of the ship sections are upside down, as mentioned by someone else, but this only appears on the light carrier and battlecruiser so it may well be a NSC issue.

I do appear to be getting it with all of the color variations, however I should have been more specific, it's only with the energy torpedoes not the conventional ones. Hope this helps.

@Lord Hand - I cannot find any errors, so I didn't mis-code something, and the only references in Molluscoid refering to Mammalian I've taken care of (engines), so I need to know which color shipsets you have seen the Mammalian Torpedo Turrets on, just some or all of them, so I can see if I can fix that.

Small problem here, I'm getting the (what I assume to be) mammalian torpedo turrets. Ruins the otherwise perfect aesthetics.

@Nyxor - Depends on if I have time (I have a self imposed deadline I'm going to keep). If you want a Protoss Molluscoid Shipset, Dukhat is the person to talk to, as he has done those in the past. I'll tell him you're requesting one.

Thanks for all your work, these dark shipsets are absolutely amazing. One last request before you leave Stellaris behind... could you do a light gray-themed molluscoid shipset like these, one with green and the other with orange highlights, and possibly a single gold set with cyan highlights (essentially the different protoss factions)? I can't find anyone that does those... On the plus side, with this pack, we have Tal'darim ships. :D

@Blood Magi - Yes, I'm planning to stop. Stellaris modding is talking too much of my time. I've got other things I need to do in Reality, and my interest in Stellaris modding in waning. I'll keep all my mods up-to-date with Stellaris patches, but unless a big inspiration strikes, it's a good place to stop.

It doesn't matter which one I do next, I promise you guys I'm going to get them all out within the next week.

@Minor Inconvenience - Thank you. The Reptilian shipsets have a small dependancy on the Mammalian files, so I'll have to do Mammalian before Reptilian, and I've got to decide where to throw in Arthropoid.

@Everyone - I decided to do these first since I cannot actually find a Molluscoid Shipset on here (at least that is independent of another mod).

Mammalian, Reptilian, and Arthropoid are to follow shortly!
