So I noticed it removes curses all the times, would it be possible to make it only remove them from the start of the floor? So that like amnesia pills and other effects still work

Because black candle also has other effects like increasing devil/angel chances, and can be rolled off your character for various reasons. This mod is still the best way to strip curses (except XL) from the game. And I'm sure Mincemeat would have stripped XL, its just not possible with the modding API.

Just use black candle... It removes ALL curses...

@Yo Yo Spooky Joe, Did a test run with no crash. It is likely a different mod causing the issue. Does the crash occur every time you do the segment or is it intermittent?

OK, my best theory for which mod is causing the Mother's Shadow segment crash as of the November Repentance patch is probably this one, considering Mother's Shadow's item removal feature is considered a curse called Curse of the Mist.

@DingusButticus, This mod does not interact with tinted rocks. I believe the new expansion lowered the rate tinted rocks spawn, so perhaps that's what you're noticing. (Did a run to test just in case and found a tinted rock on the first floor). Thanks for the feedback.

No more curse of the blind ruining runs

Am I super unlucky or does this mod break tinted rocks? Haven't seen one in two runs since trying this out. Will report back if that changes.

@Tyrekasaurus Rex, It does. That curse works differently from the other curses in that its tied into the level generation.

@TerryBabbins, Modding was only recently re-added, just did the update today. The mod should now be working with Repentance. Hope you enjoy.

@Stacy Krugger I will likely update the mod when they re-enable modding. As Maleverus said currently all mods are disabled for Repentance. And I'm glad to hear I was able to make your Isaac experience better.

@Stacy Krugger, as an Isaac modder myself, I can tell you that Repentance does not currently support mods. Such support is reportedly "coming later." When its updated with mod support if mincemeat doesn't update this I may take a crack at it but I leave it to him for now.

This mod is amazing and made Isaac playable, the curses really ruin the game for me, any chance you'll be updating it soon for Repentance?

@Lenomon because black candle has a bunch of other effects such as granting a black heart or modifying devil/angel chances. Plus the black candle could be rerolled away. This mod is a MUCH better solution, many thanks to the author.

so its i guess nice but if why not just give yourself the black candle it takes like 2 seconds

I only did this to remove curse of the blind. I feel a bit guilty about removing the other curses but screw curse of the blind

@Ryusuta Yes its possible, if your real question is: "will I change this mod to work in such a way", then the answer is no, the mod is performing as intended. If your question was intended as a starting point to editing this mod for your own purposes then there are plenty of resources to get modding on your own, I encourage you to take a look at said resources and edit my mod to work the way you would like it to. Would it be possible to make it so that it ONLY disables Curse of Darkness? The other curses I can live with, but even with max gamma, I get extremely tired of Curse of Eyestrain.

This doesn't seem to do anything for me. I'm playing on Antibirth, but I'm not sure if that changes anything. Any ideas why it's messing up?

@Sninctbur, If you want to input a seed every time you play thats your prerogative.

Isn't this mod redundant? Why not use the seed BLCK CNDL instead?

Just tested stand alone and with other mods, it is working. The curse applies on floor start and then is immediately removed by mod. Of course that means the one it can't remove is XL floors, but aside from that working great, thanks Mincemeat.

@Angel, Just checked it seems to be working on my end.

@Angel9001 I'll check to make sure its working, it should be. Keep in mind it still shows the Curse alert at the start of the floor, so even though it says the curse is in effect it should still be disabled.

did something with this mod change i have the mod installed yet still curses seem to be in effect. I checked to see if it was aktivated ingame and it was.
