a bit cheeky but clever map. Not sure yet if I solved it entirely as intended since I didn't make use of the piece of grating that was suspended from the ceiling. Had to go back when I saw you hid a companion cube in there which I found where I suspected it might be. I liked the projected texture and the overall aesthetics.

Got nowhere near the intended solution but great puzzle nonetheless.

i've completely reworked your map around my unintended solution on this chamber, it's almost unrecognizable, but i think you might like to know, sadly i can't publish coz steam quota is full, so don't worry, i'm just saying this coz maybe i could send you the bsp file. It's in factory BTS style, you don't get to control the gels, paint is alreaady in the places necessary to solve it. There's an extra room across the gap, but it's quite hidden the passage there. i'm planning on adding another room on the other side.

Well, in that case it's all cleared out, since I also mentioned that I wasn't referencing Sixense :P

We're failing to communite accurately here, i never said you used anything other than or Beemod itself to create this, but you said teh sideways portal was "an easter egg" so unless you have no idea what an easter egg means, than you're failing to explain yourself better as well. An easter egg IS, in fact, a reference to something, so i asked you if it was a reference to the use of sideways portals in the Sixense Motion pack, since that game uses sideways portals, allowing the player to move the portals around freely (which is a stupid concept though) and so i don't understnd why are you insisting on saying things about Beemod, I an currently using BEE 2.4 (build 4.36.1) and formerly I used Ben and Carl's Extended Editor Mod since 2014 so I know what it is.
HugoBDesigner  [author] 23 Jan, 2020 @ 1:46pm
That's what I mean: the easter egg was made with Beemod only. There was nothing related to the Sixense Motion pack in this map. Not even as a reference
ChrisLP 23 Jan, 2020 @ 1:35pm
haha i know, i meant the easter egg, coz Sixense Motion pack uses sideways portals!
HugoBDesigner  [author] 23 Jan, 2020 @ 1:34pm
Nope, just regular Beemod with a portal magnet on that surface alone :P
ChrisLP 23 Jan, 2020 @ 12:18pm
like i said, there's nothing you can do about it, but thanks for replying. As an easter egg, that ws nice, probably from Sixense Motion pack, am i right?
HugoBDesigner  [author] 23 Jan, 2020 @ 6:48am
@C.L.Portal unfortunately, those are exploits I have little to no control over. The sideways portal was an easter egg; it serves no purpose in the puzzle
ChrisLP 22 Jan, 2020 @ 7:38pm
found another unintended solution, one of which there's nothing you can do about it as it involves strafing in circles on the orange paint and boucing off the edge of the blue gel, useful when you CAN'T place enough blue gel right IN FRONT of the orange gel, so i strafe in circles to catch the corners, which have blue gel.

i think that's an unintended solution coz it's too simple, the screenshot has it all solved, ready to bounce :p i never used that specific portal placement there to paint the floor or move the cube or anything, i just wanted my portal on the screenshot and it happened to accept it there, why is that? Coz it makes no sense to place an horizontal portal there specially if it is recquired for the actual solution.

I solved it close but unintended. instead of funneling the gel back to the bridge's source I funneled it onto the bridge just after it came out of the portal. I jumped and shot a portal to destroy the bridge and had just enough height to get across the gap, even though I did not bounce first.

Nice puzzle, but I didn't solve it exactly as intended. I initially had the same idea as Veckman, but couldn't pull it off. I also had the same idea as TheBossCDA, but couldn't pull it off. I then came up with a similar idea as the official solution, but couldn't pull it off. I wound up putting orange gel on the floor of the gel dropper area, and running through a portal up there . Same thing only different.

Reached the exit door ledge by crouching in mid-air, so no, not intended, but I like monoportal puzzles, this one was fun.

What a beautiful (and punishing!) puzzle. A never seen before concept, executed throughly and nicely.

One thing though: the button that inverts the polarity of the funnel should show that connection more clearly, maybe with a connection path (you could just let one instead of the two that are on both the funnel and bridge of the first button, since it's already clear their connection).
Petutski 3 Feb, 2019 @ 6:19pm
You know, this map might be much better if the bug where gel deposited on a light bridge would survive an F7 restore. As it is, that is what makes trying different methods of flinging very frustrating!
HugoBDesigner  [author] 2 Feb, 2019 @ 3:34pm
I'm sorry you didn't have fun @Petutski, but the solution to the map hasn't changed since the initial release. The official solution video provided with the map is still valid. When stuck, please always check for the official solution as seen right here: https://i.imgur.com/TZn821E.png

Sorry, not fun. Too much ninja. Too tedious. Again, most of the playthroughs are invalid.

Great monoportal map. Took some thinking. I did the last move slightly differently (same way as TheBossCDA). Thumbs up.

Great puzzle. I got stuck at the beginning and had a look at the very start of your walkthrough :steamfacepalm:. After that, the solution came fairly quickly :)
DeathWish808 16 Feb, 2018 @ 8:40am
Not too punishing. :-)

that was hard. i had to look at the walkthru, dar n. i kept trying to jump from the bridge . i actually tried the intended and it didnt work so i didnt try again but i didnt have enough orange gel on the bridge. but thats ok at least i finally got to the door
_galaxy 12 Aug, 2017 @ 7:20am
how did you make this on bee mod?
The MAD Fool 3 Aug, 2017 @ 6:58pm
Forgot to say... nice puzzle!
The MAD Fool 3 Aug, 2017 @ 6:56pm
May I make one small suggestion. Trust me on this, but if you do this, issues will be fixed and it make your puzzle EXTREMELY hard. Get rid of the blue funnel. You don't need it. If you try Lab Games 1 - Broken Revenge! (an old puzzle of mine) or remember Nockscitney's play through Pointless I think you will see what I mean. Or perhaps you think this would be too much punishment on your subscribers?

Found another unintended solution involving a triple bounce http://i.imgur.com/7goyKpO.png

Very clever an challenging map.
Veckman 29 Mar, 2017 @ 6:56pm
This is a cool and challenging map!

I can do it without using the propulsion gel.

@Chicken Permission It wasn't the intended solution, but it was close enough, so it's all good. If you want, you can check out the video for the intended solution. Thanks for playing :)
blur 27 Jan, 2017 @ 11:41am
That's clever, but I don't think I did it the intentional way.

I used the light bridge through the orange portal with orange gel on it and right as I was over the repulsion gel, I placed the portal somewhere else. Good level, it was clever.
Rector 27 Jan, 2017 @ 7:05am
Not sure if I did it as intended, but that jump is very finicky.
Re-playthrough video

Hah, I escaped your punishment!
Playthrough video

Thumbs up tho! :p2cube:

Nice puzzle! At first, I wasn't too sure about the one portal feature, but this was done really well. I took me a while to figure out the beginning. Nice job
