Hey all. I no longer play/mod for Space Engineers, and have moved on to modding in another game. Sorry for any lack of previous updates.

Can't wait for the update! I just came back to SE after years and I've been having to comb through my mods removing most of them now that they're all outdated. Looking forward to adding this one back!

Not sure if this would be possible or not, but maybe allow upgrade modules to be attached to the engine as well, to simulate how different ships have different "quality" engines that can burn with differing outputs and efficiencies. (optimally you would be able to nearly entirely customize it with different engine parts but even if that was possible, I highly doubt SE's internals would be too kind to it)
Oh also, as a balance idea, make it so a core isn't required, but without one you need to expend power to use them.

@drifter_WGE as explained in the Expanse series of books, their "teakettle" RCS are superheated jets of steam/water using the same ice they breath with. If I can make it run on ice, I just might do :)

Idk if this helps but IRL RCS thrusters are just nodes on the ships hull that shoot out gas and considering the only things onboard the ships in the expanse fuel wise is the fusion pellets and water Im guessing that its just a gas made from the water that makes the RCS thrusters work.

@ender Not sure yet, remains to be seen. The idea of having them require the core would just be to keep it balanced. I do believe in-lore they are just jets of superheated steam, but I would make the core the requirement to create that effect, essentially. This may also be potentially how it works in lore, but we will never know as James S.A. Corey prefers the hand-wave of "it just works" rather than going too deep into sciencey-explanations.

Why would the RCS thrusters require the core and hydro though? Aren't they in-universe a separate system to the Epstein Drive and can run independently? (I may be wrong)

I am considering adding "Teakettle" RCS thrusters to this, also hydrogen-based, consuming power and requiring the Epstein core, that would provide boosted thrust over vanilla and have a form factor appropriate to fit against the side of hulls without taking up too much space. I would just need to get a model for it commissioned. Same goes for adding other sized drives.

Currently, Vlack almost has the new textures for the current blocks done!

I just use hydro/ion but the small 1x1 variants hydro for bigger movements and ion for smaller ones. There really isn’t any good RCS thrusters to my knowledge.

I have the rest of December off work after next Wednesday so definitely before January. The fix is very simple, it's just a matter of properly recovering old mod files, getting everything together, applying Dondelion's scripts from his fixed version, and reuploading.

We also have new textures coming soon. Vlack is working very hard on them between his real life obligations and I dont have an ETA on the textures, but rest assured that this mod will be working again before 2021 :-)

I have a ship built in the expanse theme all it’s waiting on is it’s main drive. Currently only running with maneuvering boosters. How long is guessed till mod fixed?
