And one more thing, if it's possible that the bodygroup options could be those of those distinct features on each part of his body that's different, that would be cool. And maybe other bodygroup things that can be added that you can experiment with.

you should make the power rings that arents cheap but have good particle effects and as @Super3dBoy said they should have different abilities.

If you are going to do the power rings, then maybe you should assign different abilites to different computer keys. And maybe each ring should have different abilites. Just a friendly suggestion ;)
