I like this mod. But I also like the mod for No Spy Freeloaders. When i started using that mod the extra spy is no longer awarded.

Hm, it must clash with something here, so the only way to make both work is to look into both mods and combine them together as one somehow...

To be honest, I don't know. The only problem might be that if espionage has already been acquired, it might not work.

It should be compatible. The only change made, is the addition of one spy for each player whenever a player discovers espionage.

It has been a while but this is my understanding of it.

"SpiesGrantedForPlayer" means "When I reach this tech/era, I get spies" and "SpiesGrantedForEveryone" means "When this era is entered, everyone gets a spy".

This means Everyone gets a spy when ANYONE gets ren era, however England gets a second one when it enters that era (and both happen at the same time).

You can look at the XML of this mod to really make espionage availible to "the world" whenever you want.

Thadian, can you help me understand the difference between "Set SpiesGrantedForEveryone" and "SpiesGrantedForPlayer" and what impact in the game the values of each plays?

This mod will give +1 extra spy to any player (and AI). This means 2 spies instead of 1! England gets 3 instead of 2. Likewise, any civ which gets extra spies also gets +1.

yes, this is for g+k. Espionage is not part of the vanilla package. To clarify what this does, your extra spy appears when you hit the ren. if you are first to hit ren, you get 2 spies (one for era, one extra). england will get a third spy for their trait.

And to be more clear, the first civ to reach ren STILL gives everyone a first spy - the second spy comes when THAT player enters ren.
