can you also add sounds when they chat?

ie : angry chat, happy chat

also, a bit of sounds effects for sexy times would be fun.

@Saundaraya
The suitable sound for talking that i can think of would be "Blah bla bla bla bla blah"

I have to be honest, this has to be the least immersive mod in the whole workshop.

Those sounds are everything but pain/death sounds. Of I had a mic i would record them myself, and replace the ones of the mod with the same name.

Still, I'm looking forward that you update/change those "uhh" sounds.

Summary: Adding more sounds than there currently are would be extremely difficult if not impossible and if succesfull, would likely cause this mod to not be savegame compatible and not be compatible with other mods. I think that this is too much risk for a mod that simply adds a couple of sounds...

Tl;DR: No, I won't add any new sounds until Tynan makes it more mod-friendly.
Ricky  [author] 24 Jan, 2017 @ 2:37pm
@all A lot of people are asking me about implementing more sound effects. I will clarify this again: Tynan has not made it easily possible to implement static sounds where there are none. The pain and death sounds were a lucky exception because it was very easy to add sounds to PawnDefs because all of the PawnDefs are softcoded to be able to receive sound effects for specific actions. These specific actions are hardcoded (there's pain, death, anger and "calls") and no other actions with the possibility to add sounds exist. In order to "add" more, I'd have to specifically detour several methods via .dll's and most of the detoured methods would be related to Pawn's, which, without a clever and horribly tedious circumvention (if it's even possible), would cause compatibility issues (likely also not be savegame compatible) with a number of mods, possibly a lot if not most big mods.

Replace the sounds with stuff from Red Orchestra 2 / Rising Storm
Yee 18 Jan, 2017 @ 7:34pm
The mod is awesome, but can we get more sounds?
Cameronvg2 18 Jan, 2017 @ 6:36pm
the idea is good but the sound effects are a bit meh but its great love it
OrionThePunter 18 Jan, 2017 @ 5:10pm
Add mumbling sounds or something for when pawns are conversing and I am sold. A little offputting otherwise.
Kaiji 17 Jan, 2017 @ 9:34pm
Simple, yet outstandingly good mod! This fills a huge hole that was missing in gameplay immersion.
Ricky  [author] 17 Jan, 2017 @ 4:36am
@[Khorne] Neo-Kerozen Sadly, the dev has not yet implemented a lot of code that would be responsible for implementing sound clips where there aren't supposed to be any. I have consulted with other very sophisticated modders and unfortunately it does not seem easy to implement more. It was easy to implement sound for pawns, but unless Tynan makes sound-modding more mod-friendly, I won't be able to add much more. I run the risk of adding unexpected compatibility issues too, and I value that this mod is so easy to activate in an ongoing save file.
We'll see though.
LordZarmack 17 Jan, 2017 @ 4:06am

LordZarmack 17 Jan, 2017 @ 4:06am
need abit more , uh angry sounds mate too soft =p
Neo-Kerozen 17 Jan, 2017 @ 3:24am
I was afraid the sound was too intrusive or too exagerated (screaming like hell for a squirrel bite...) but it's actually very lore. I thumbs up.
I'd love to see more sound like party ambiance (laughing etc), steel crossing in battle (specially for medieval time user), groaning for sick/wounded people lying in medical bed... and as Grish said ... lol. As long as it keeps as discret as now.
Ty 16 Jan, 2017 @ 4:59pm
