Hello, Can I update the mod and use it in my own mod? Credit will be given of course.
Cheesyman  [author] 10 Aug, 2023 @ 9:33am
Yes absolutely
Geminis Angel 17 Jul, 2023 @ 2:24pm
Do I have your permission to update this mod?
Cheesyman  [author] 23 Aug, 2022 @ 2:34pm
Sorry for the hiatus everyone. Currently active duty in the military and honestly I don't have time to play games, let alone mod them. Unfortunately, I have no plans to update this mod or any of my HOI mods further. Thank you for understanding and thank you all for the support over the years!
hmahdi 7 Mar, 2021 @ 6:37am
Doesn't seem to work nowadays
Hundetoalett 5 Aug, 2020 @ 3:09am

Causes my game to crash when trying to select an airbase for paradrop order
Navaronegun 22 Mar, 2018 @ 3:50pm
Thanks for the Mod, and implementing my recommendations last year. The mod is very historical now.
the shogun 26 Oct, 2017 @ 10:22pm
im sorry, i figured out the crashing was due of another mod. I have given the same message to the author of that mod.
Cheesyman  [author] 26 Oct, 2017 @ 9:23am

the shogun 25 Oct, 2017 @ 8:18pm

Just pushed it. Added more resources to Ethiopia (+3 rubber and +5 oil) and confirmed compatability with version 1.4 Oak.

MarsEco 5 Apr, 2017 @ 12:50am
@cheesyman Is there any mod that makes a No-Mans-Land in Africa (like the Sahara Desert) that is compatable with this mod? If not, could you make it so with the most popular one that is still up-to-date?
Cheesyman  [author] 2 Apr, 2017 @ 8:51pm
Probably
MarsEco 2 Apr, 2017 @ 8:21pm
Will you be adding anything more to the islands around Africa or West Africa and Moracco areas?
Cheesyman  [author] 2 Apr, 2017 @ 11:05am
I did add stuff to it a while ago, I guess I never updated my screenshots here... it has 3 oil, 6 chromium, and 6 rubber as of now
MarsEco 2 Apr, 2017 @ 1:43am
Is there anything historical to add to Madagascar? That big island is so irrelevant lol. Or any of the islands near it?
Cheesyman  [author] 31 Mar, 2017 @ 10:00pm
I just added most of the recommendations navaronegun gave me. Thanks!!
Cheesyman  [author] 31 Mar, 2017 @ 9:40pm

Clux 1 Mar, 2017 @ 10:14pm
Very nice mod, altough i would be better if more states have rubber
Cheesyman  [author] 30 Jan, 2017 @ 1:18pm
Thanks @navaronegun, school just started so I havent been in the modding game in a few weeks, but i take these to help me balance the mod
Navaronegun 27 Jan, 2017 @ 6:35pm
Good job! I did a study of resources available in 1936 to 1936 technologies for Sub- Saharan Africa and I came up with these additions pto the base values:

Mozambique – Oil +2 in Laurenco Marques (Coal and Oil). South Africa – Oil + 5 in Transvaal (ridiculously huge Coal Deposits, if there were still a coal resource, SA should have 20 in 1936...). +2 Steel (base resources of Iron are underrepresented). French Congo – +2 Rubber. Belgian Congo – Increase Tungsten, Steel and Chromium each by + 2 in Katanga. Uganda - +2 Tungsten. Sierra Leone +3 Aluminum. French Guinea +4 Aluminum
Cheesyman  [author] 18 Jan, 2017 @ 7:25pm
Oil is by far the biggest addition and i will be changing it over time
Cheesyman  [author] 18 Jan, 2017 @ 7:24pm
I only added chromium to oman, and tungsten to central africa. All that huge amounts of tungsten and chroium near south africa is in the base game. I added good amounts of oil to north africa because oil was there in the '30s and '40s, and i added very little oil to anything below the sahara. If you look at the oil I added to those parts, it might as well be 0 if you compare it to Texas or the Caucasus oil fields. Same with the rubber, I added it mostly to give some other source, no matter how tiny, other than the massive amounts in southeast asia. Considering that nations with free economy or export focus control these tiny amounts of resources at the start, they are almost irrelevant.
MarsEco 18 Jan, 2017 @ 6:01pm
You added a bunch of Tungsten for the British in the Kenya regions, I would scale back the chromium in botswana (southern part of the British colonies) and maybe South Africa's The UK doesnt need more resources, the colonies are fine, but they have plenty of rubber. Adding more to Eygpt or Kenya or Morocco or South Africa or Oman or Yemen or Ethiopia or Syria or Congo, etc is fine. Most of that in Saudi Arabia would not have been found back then.
MarsEco 18 Jan, 2017 @ 5:55pm
well scaling it back wont give proper representation. You can find oil today in places you culdnt back then because of technology. SO oil countries today, are not all oil countries back then. Same with other resources.
Cheesyman  [author] 17 Jan, 2017 @ 6:39am
I basically took modern stats and tryed to scale them down to what I thought was reasonable for the '30s and '40s. The chromium and tungesten are basically unchanged from the base game (except for Oman and Madagascar and maybe a couple other states), but the oil I added most of and I probably will work on balancing it. Thanks for the feedback!
MarsEco 16 Jan, 2017 @ 8:18pm
You say modern, but it should be made to represent 1940. There are too many resources added. I think the areas need more resources and maybe Victory Points, but this was just a little too much. Not bad, better than the "More resources Mod" but still a little much.
Cheesyman  [author] 16 Jan, 2017 @ 2:05pm
@Mittens Thank you!
FED 16 Jan, 2017 @ 11:54am
Looks like a pretty fair and balanced mod. Look forward to trying it in my multiplayer matches
