So you're a born programmer, then eh? Glad you got something working. Yeah, the altitude the script can obtain for a cockpit is the same as the one displayed while sitting in that cockpit, iirc. This uses the same mechanism I use in Hover Altitude Aligner, though that doesn't work currently, the gauge of altitude is not the problem. Feel free to use my code as a starting bed, example, take whatever you need. I hope they help someone learn something or enjoy the game more.

Never mind. Turn out my lack of c# knowledge kept me from seeing how to do what I was trying to do, but I managed to finagle my way to what I needed. I specialize in the ancient and powerful arts of copy/paste and trial/error.

Does this script have the ability to basically read the cockpit's altitude displayed on the horizon indicator? And if so do you mind if I pull some script to help with one I'm working on? I need to be able to read the specific altitude to determine how hard to fire retrograde thrusters on a rover lander I'm building

Thanks mate!

I will link to your version if it seems useful.

I don't mind at all. This is a toy script, I really don't care about credits. :)

Hey mate, my brother just helped me make it so it doesn't activate until a certain speed (configurable, but I set it to 25m/s). I was wondering if I could post this extended version on the workshop, I will of course take no credit and leave a link to your script in the description and all that.

Great that you liked the idea, I know nothing about programming myself, I could check with my brother dough, anyways, thanks for the great work you´ve done!

This is just a simple script I made long ago to help peeps out. Yes, probably would be really really easy to add a check for speed, but it would also be very very easy for you to add that line of script code yourself! And since you'd actually be using it, you would know if it works or not. Good suggestion anyway. I'll think about it. If it seems a generally useful enough feature I'll add it next time I'm in there. Otherwise I worry about feature creep.

I´d love it couldn´t be activated until you reach a certain speed. This way it ccould be used to make an automated emergency brake/alarm/parachutes etc, without activating it when landing(because then you go slow). Maybe ad this as an option in the script? It's up to you anyways!

thank you!

Awesome Script for deploying parachutes or retro rockets.

Ohh i found the problem
name has to be Timer Block not TimerBlock (space)
If script caught Error you need to resave script for it to function again.
Script does only 1 triger below altitude,,, you need to go up and down again to get a triger again.
