it (mostly) works with Vox Populi, the bugs i assume are related to the optional UI mod promotion tree (4a) which i disabled because of what people said here so i don't know about that, either way, the promotions from Vox Populi are unfortunately not affected by this mod so for the double shot from archers for instance you need to go the regular way (3 barrage? first)

Are there any plans to make this compatible with vox populi/the community patch promotion tree? I'm experiencing some bugs, if there's interest in making these compatible (which I think would be awesome) I can provide specifics (and might be able to help out with dev and testing if needed as well).

Unfortunatly i am a solo player so i never had to make mods work in multiplayer, i know its doable but havent researched or tried it. So i dont have altered file like you wanted, sorry.

Hello BlouBlou I love your work, I play lots of Civ V Multiplayer With my dad and we don't hotseat so I have been editing the game files so that we can play internet games with the changes our favorite mods change, for example the barbarian EXP unlimited. recently I have changed other files to the live game and they have gone really well and have enhanced our gaming. the reason I comment is that I really love this promotions mod and it seems to be all XML file changes which are the ones I am comfortable changing and I was wondering if you ever did something similar where you updated your live game files so you can play with some of your mods in a live game or in multiplayer and if so if you had a copy of the files you changed for the promotions because while I love this mod as it adds a lot I am not comfortable going in and changing everything like that to make it work. If you have those files or any advice that would be so exceptionally appreciated and if not I still love your work!

Hi There !
The closest thing to a written list would be the mod file. You can look at the XML and extract the info you are looking for. This may be a little tedious depending on how you want it arranged.

You can also install the IGE mod (live game editor) make a unit of each type, give it max level like in the screenshots and list your promotion tree by hand from there.

Sorry that i dont have a spreadsheet or list that isnt part of the code for the mod.

Is there a list of the specific changes this mod makes to the promotions (added/rearranged), or the final promotion list if this is the only mod installed? I see the summary in the description but i want to make a spreadsheet

@Kaiser Hi there !
There may be few reasons why you have this behavior :

- Not having at least God and Kings expansion
- Mod incompatibility with another mod
- Starting or loading your game from the SinglePlayer menu instead of the Mod menu
- Changing your mod list and trying to load a Save Game that had a different mod list.

I assume you already used the mod with succes from what you tell me. So you must own G&K.

I can guarantee that all my mods are compatible togheter but from your mod list i see that some mods arent from me. There is a chance that one is incompatible (maybe ethnic unit if they change promotions of some units).

The best test is to start a fresh new game with only this mod enabled (or other mods from me) and start the new game from the MOD menu, not the single player menu. It will surely work. After that, if one of your other mod is incompatible, you will unfortunatly have to choose wich one you prefer.

So I just reinstalled after a long while, and when I did, all of the options + icons for actions were scrambled when I started a new game (i.e, 'Make Strafing Run' instead of 'Found City' for settlers.) It seems to only be the symbols and text, because I was still able to found cities and do everything that the unit should be able to do. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong here? My modlist is this:

-Starting Scout
-Ethnic Units
-Promotion Expansion Pack
-Trading Posts become Towns
-Fortress Borders
-Barbarians Unlimited XP

Hey there, has there been a discussion around the Heal 50HP instantly option not being present when prompted to promote a unit? I've been losing good units this way. Has anyone else had that issue OP?

i thought of a good idea for a mod and i think you would be able to do it based of what's in this mod. would you have any interest in making a mod that allows you to tell units to automatically hunt barbarians? i was thinking it would be something you would turn on like exploration except it would seek out any barbarians or barbarian camps and hunt them. i think it would probably work like the rebel hunting mode in EU4 or Vic2

this mod doesn't show up in game for me after exiting and reloading my save (it's still saved in the mod selection menu). How do I keep this mod persistent over continuing a save?

This mod make the promotions works like a skill tree, every level you choose either an unlocker or a promotion of your current level on the tree. All the existing promotions has been integrated in the tree and new ones have been added.

at your first level up ull see: Drill 1, Shock 1 or the Unlocker for higher level promotion.

If you choose the unlocker, next level you will get : Drill 1, Shock1, and all the promotion available in the level 2 of the tree. Also the Unlocker for level 3

If you chose Drill 1,next level you will get Shock 1 and the unlocker for level 2.

So each level : progress in the tree and unlock more skill OR pick a skill from your current pool.

The unlocker also give small benefits, (+ %exp gain, +% attack/defense). Hopes it clear it out

i tried that already. it seems my issue was due to my own error though. i didn't read the description and it says research unlocks certain promotions. appologies. HOWEVER, i noticed the "colnol" and "general" promotions did not unlock no matter what i did. ideas?

This mod does requires God and King and never worked without it. The game would crash because this mod specificly uses promotion that were introduced in Gods and Kings.

Also there is no such promotion as "Vampirism" in this mod. (vampires !? really :O)
It sound like you are using multiples mods together and arent commenting on the right one.

1) Requires God and King

2) This mod is stable and has been widely tested by thousands of users over the years.

Thats why you need to do a proper test before reporting a bug :

- Make sure it downloaded properly and that it is enabled. Then, start a fresh new game with only this mod enabled and at least God and kings installed. No other mods enabled. Also start your game from the MOD menu, NOT the singleplayer menu.

Do that and it will work as described.

so no matter what i do, the first aid promotion doesn't appear. neither does vampirism expert. it USED to....but now it doesn't. note, iw as playing without gods and kings... but now i am. however the mods says that it needs godds and kings. so how is it somehow working worse than when i didn't have hte dlc to use it?

Mod not showing are a classic steam workshop behavior vs Civ 5 not because of mod incompatibility.

It just wont download when thats the case. Follow the step written in the troubleshooting section of the mod as it adress this exact problem.

I'm looking to remove the promotion that grants the ability for units to climb Mountains. I went ahead and went into douc/mygames/CivV/Mods/ThisMod and opened up PEP as a notepad file. In order to remove it could I simply delete

The % combat does stacks. I suspect the mouvement bonus does stack too but it wouldnt be a plain 4x depending on wich calculation come first , since hill have a movement penalty. It would need further testing to calculate the bonus.

Great Mod!! One quick question.

Mt Kilimanjaro has altitude training, which doubles hill movement range and adds 10% combat strength on hills. Does this combine with the hillmen promotion to make 4x range and +40%?

if you somehow let a war unit have the "victory"skill, and make them promoted until have all skills, then when it promoted by defeat an enemy soldier (being danmaged, but cause "victory" heal to full) and it'll force you to promoted, but there's no other skill you can choose...

Hey is there a option to remove/disable some of those promotions for example I dont like the "bribe" promotion can I disable it somehow. The game wont let me end my round until I promoted the unit so I am forced to get it

can qe get a version where levels are srill based on shock/rough that would be very useful for those trying to make scsnarios. My fav promotions here are invasion by far btw, capturing units is just really op
