@Dinossword Tenrec's don't have quills, not all of them do, for example the aquatitc ones don't.

@TitaniumSpyBorgBear Both animals eat bugs, and have quils for protection against any would be predator.

And if you think about Thylacosmilus and Smilodon, they both have saber teeth made to cut off blood to the brain.

Although unlike hedgehogs, they seem more primitive in terms of reproduction, similar to birds and reptiles
