Some locos on certain routes you need to brake early because the brakes don't apply right away.

i didnt quite get your question RBJets. the independent (loco only) come on as soon as you start applying them. the train brakes tk some time for application.. have to reach till 20% after which they engage.. i hope this is what u were asking me abt.

Cool, I haven't played this route since I made the series. Are the locos the brake early type?

Enjoyed this one too..didnt have any probs with the brakes (probably cause i m so much used to the brakes of amercian locomotives... :-P. even while having cars behind could easily control with the independent brakes themselves.. only had to use train brakes in one instance.. onto cresecent mills

Yea, just have to brake a little early.

Fun with all that slope - at least the switching was done for me.

This loco is quite a beast - needs a lot to get going and then to stop.

@mopsyshouse quite a few late 1st gen and early 2nd gen diesels had braking systems that took getting used to.

All went great this time. Very realistic, takes me back to my youth when I worked for the SP in Calif. Thanks again.

Try clearing cache and make sure you request to pass signal. Let me know.

Had a bit of trouble with this one. 1st it didn't show up after DL but found it in the 'Workshop' section of the route and clicked 'run'. Did alright but could not pass a 'red' to couple up to engine near end of scenario. May try it again, I probably missed something or took too long making the moves.

Thanks mopsyshouse, just remember to brake early with this loco. Thanks again Bill.
mopsyshouse 1 Feb, 2017 @ 3:38pm
Great fun in spectacular countryside, but do those loco brakes need some getting used to ? That however is all part of the enjoyment and challenge, many thanks, Bill B.

Robbie 27 Jan, 2017 @ 6:33pm
so what are you working now
RBJets  [author] 27 Jan, 2017 @ 5:31pm
I think it is because is really operates as one unit till you drop it, nice catch didn't notice that. But I think everyone will still be able to complete the scenario without much difficulty or confusion.
jaymac2 27 Jan, 2017 @ 3:13pm
Nice scenario. However instructions are a little confusing - after dropping loco 760 which leaves 758 as the operating loco, the instructions keep referring to WP760 as operating loco. This results in a weird instruction #13 Couple 760 to the back of WP760 !
