Beautiful ship, either this or the Raum is my favorite. Tough choice betwee nthe two. I am currently polishing up the messenger in creative to see if I can get its Iron count lower... probably not, but it is worth it.

Hehe, i like big ships too, the Galaxy Class is my all time No.1.
Regarding Empyrion, have you tried the Europa Battlecruiser?

It's basically the only (Empyrion) combat worthy ship i have build (all the others where build with energy shielding in mind). The Europa is heavily inspired by NBSG, i don't know if you like that kind of style.

The problem with Empyrion is, you can't really build a tough Star Trek inspired design, since it needs a certain amount of layers made of combat steel for protection. (Don't get me started to repair it...)
Such a design would need to be extremely heavy and terrible unpractical. It would need huge amounts of fuel and would have tiny interior, due the nature of the design.

It is almost as if the game devs didn't want people to build Star Trek like ships. lol.

I used the term Raumkreuzer, simply because i wanted to use something different for a change.
Space cruiser just sounded to generic. :)

@Neal its simple: i like big ships and i like star trek. but every star trek ship is for me to tiny or without love build just iron blocks but i want something thats different. like ur osc Raumkreuzer. (woran man merkt das du deutscher bist, glaube ich jedenfalls) but let it in english. also im on a server where everyone is hunting me. im afraid on pvp worlds cause i know that i would go down. but then i got hit and the OSC Raumkreuzer tier 1 stand under heavily fire for like 1 minute and i escaped.

and yeah i know i want also ships with shield auto repair etc. but some big fat Enterprise-E where i can go to everything is my dream :D

Man, thank you, but i don't deserve all that praise.
You see, i don't really have the time lately to play the game. But to be honest, i'm also not really sure if it's the right game for my needs. I'm soley interested in playing Empyrions single player game mode and when i dicovered the Game at first, my hopes where high that it would become a glorious sandbox universe, filled with countless star systems to explore, aliens to interact with and things like that.
Last time i checked, the developers where concerned about PvP balance and adding game mechanics like structural integrity.
I gave it a few months (which i spent mostly with building ships i like), but they didn't even mention things like shield systems, Auto repair or decent sci-fi ship weapons.

I wish i could say i was working on new ships, really. I hope your not too mad at me for not doing so. Maybe when exploration becomes a thing, i'll give it another try.
Just being curious, why for do you need a bigger ship?

@Neal i love all of ur workshop ships. but i need something big and also in the style of the osc cruisers. star trek touch and all this stuff. warp gondels. i mean this full star trek look. i searched a lot but the only ships i really like are urs. so i praise and hope u will make a ship, strong as a pvp ship. elegant as a star trek ship, smooth in handeling, and with ur perfect little touch

I love this ship. My only complaint was placing the core on the bridge. I hid it behind something in the engine room. Also with some upgraded hull blocks and weapons this thing does pretty well in PVP

GOOD design for a exploration ship! I'm using it as a the starting point of a POI in one of my custom playfields even! Thanks for the effort Neal!

simple, cheap, elegant with enough room for everything needable on long journey. in my opinion the interior is a bit inefficient but not hard to costumize for any personal taste. love the concept and workmanship
