there is a lever that gives you your salary once the quest is done. I tried to make it so it would pay after a few days, but i couldn't find the right command, so i left it as a random reward (see Steam Engine).

in the area behind the wall is a Cheat Chest. you need to make a key on the workbench (100 gold). there in the chest are: a built hotel, interior, and then you make 2 items - hire workers and attract tourists. these will complete the quest.
