The vehicle could look much better with a specular map, a normal map and deleted fake floor (for a good looking specular map)

@Jamsaint360 shame only today i came across this bus, it will fit nice as an airport shuttle bus from main entrance to various terminals.
shame i cant find an actual airport shuttle on CS, something like this:

would you be willing to give a try? or know a modder that would acept the challenge?

Will you be making a 40 footer version?
OriginalJAM  [author] 8 Apr, 2017 @ 7:32pm
I will be updating this bus (the size) in the next few hours, if you get an error all you have to do is re add this bus to your lines.

@BRAVO9ACTUAL: which Xcelsior? there's a few versions, I think I'm going to focus on the Breda A650 subway train next.

@[Delta ²k5]: its actually weird, the asset editor tends to mess up on file size when sharing your assets, the bus is actually under 5 mbs but depending on which template you use to import your models the size will change, in this case i used, the NYCMTA New Flyer XD60 for the trailer template, and my NABI 45c template for the actual bus, if i used the vanilla bus as the template, the size would have been over 30 MB, its a glitch in the asset editor.

Yeah, that trailer bug is common unfortunately - it's a 3D floor created by the game to simulate the vehicles floor. I wasn't aware of that bug when I wrote this, sorry!

For the 2k textures: they only make sense if you've got many details on a vehicle - If you take a look on my CTA trains those use 1024x1024 textures which still looks good even in 1st person :)

Reducing the textures size reduces the overall file size which is better for lower-end PCs.
OriginalJAM  [author] 30 Jan, 2017 @ 1:25pm
@[Delta ²k5]: oh and I just though 2k looked better especially for people who use first person to explore their cities.
OriginalJAM  [author] 30 Jan, 2017 @ 1:22pm
@[Delta ²k5]: i did have a specular on the model but the specular on the trailer was acting wierd,

the specular on the trailer produced 2 fake enteriors horizontaly so there was a border running along the window, so i got rid of it, i was trying to fix it but nothing changed.

Nice model :) but why did you decide to put 2k textures on it? From those screenshots I think half of the resolution would be fine. Also - imo - it could need some specular map (_s) as it seems like there is none.

I did some experiments on my Ford Transit and think that the following values fit best on not-that-glossy (worn) cars:

Body spec: #121212
Window spec: #ffffff
Lights: #373737

maybe you'd like to check those values out :)

excellent work! finally some realistic buses :D
BRAVO 29 Jan, 2017 @ 6:07pm
Ah got ya. Well if that's the case any chance of some Xcelsiors then? The only two are differing greatly in size from eachother.
OriginalJAM  [author] 29 Jan, 2017 @ 5:57pm
I sized the buses (NABI 45c and 60brt) so they would more realistically match their real life size

Well holy crap. Nice! One small thing, I've noticed that your buses are a decent amount smaller in scale than the other buses in my game. What are your's scaled to?
