I use it on singleplayer and i love it, thank you so much for creating this awesome mod!

Seems to work, but only for single player. If you use it on server, people will be stuck with only one possible value set in the .ini. (So you have to choose between using it for shorter or taller character) That's too bad, since it's work really well. If someone know how to use it so anyone can use their own value on a server, please tell me. (Or if you can use a command to change only on one character) Thx !

HOW TO USE

Works perfectly. Thank you.

This still work?

Please, which ini file is used
Lommie 15 Jun, 2019 @ 10:14pm
For those still not sure how to use this, the ini file to modify is GameUserSettings.ini. How I got it to work was to add the 2 configuration lines right after the [ServerSettings] section.

Also of note, the buff was still in place after exiting the game and loading back in.

Thank you for this mod, it works quite well with Sweet Briana's Fantasy Shapes mod. I just wish it hadn't taken me so long to find it.

After searching lots of INI files. I give up. Google "which ini file has eyeheight" DID not work.
Max 14 Jul, 2018 @ 11:25am
As of this writing the height is resetting to vanilla after you log back in (even though when you log in the mod writes something like "eye height set" AND the buff is still active it does not actually set the height). One needs to re-consume the mod item. This is on a dedicated server.

Nice, you resurrected this mod, much appreciated!

Inflatablemouse 7 Jul, 2018 @ 4:03am
and in which ini file do we set the override? There is game.ini and gameuser.ini, but I believe some mods use their own ini files in their mod dir. It can't be that hard to provide a simple alinea of instructions instead of pointing to "google"?
Thanks!

Thanks man! One of my main bothers of the game solved. Quick Q, is your lowest equal to the shortest character eye height, and your max equal to the tallest character eye height?
Fidulus 24 May, 2018 @ 8:50am
@dubCUT is it possible to make it stick after reload? It resets to standart eye height everytime i play again. not a big deal just to "eat" the thing again, but i was curious.

@Fidulus
thank you, you're welcome!

@dubCUT you got no idea how long i was looking for a fix like this... all over the internet it could never be found... always was something like "hard coded into UE" "not possible"....
DAmn... i can not express how much joy i feel for this mod.
You are my personal hero

@_Roidrage
it only applies to the player that "eats" this item.
_Roidrage 29 Mar, 2018 @ 8:39am
Is this installed server side or players? I don't want to set the height of ALL characters but only mine.
dubCUT  [author] 6 Mar, 2018 @ 11:55am
@SoundStream1969
the value should suit for a shorter character. it goes into the ini settings. i'm shure you'll find many tutorials about the ini settings.
@martinloki
i wish i could burn it into the character. it's quite annoying to do it again and again, i know. i'll give it another shot soon.
@smaurine82
if you are not familiar with the unreal engine ark developpment kit, there are a lot of resources online to dig into.

How do i change the Height if I'm a shorter character than default. i tried adding lines to the game.ini. im playing single player by the way. i changed the number to 50 and then to 30, no difference. am i using the wrong file, or is it an in game command? or cheat command?
martinloki 2 Sep, 2017 @ 6:18pm
AWESOME! This has long been a pet peve of mine, and I didn't see this mod under visualizations. Thank you. Any chance or ideas to fix the crouching\prone reset?

Hi, I had the same question about how to use this. IDK what "ast the owner to the playerpawntest and set base eye height" means. I see the buff on my lower right hand side of the screen but now IDK how to adjust it.
dubCUT  [author] 26 Apr, 2017 @ 10:07am
@♥ღbrianaღ♥
i basically just apply a buff, cast the owner to the playerpawntest and set base eye height.
Sweet Briana 💋™ 25 Apr, 2017 @ 2:57pm
Anyway you can help me set the height for avatars in my mod that let's people make pixie size to giant size avatars? I sent a friend request - just in case.

Great idea, I'm surprised this isn't more popular. I agree the default view height is off, my friend and I are the same default character height yet I look at his shoulders and not in the eyes.
Would be great if the reset issue could be sorted out.

I hope of course that you one day will get to fix the Crouch and Prone issue, and maybe make it so that players don't have to craft an item, but instead it looks for how tall the player character is and moves the camera according to that height, instead of having to manually set it, because i know some people will clearly abuse this to move the camera all the way to the top.
[LOKE]YourC3PH 30 Jan, 2017 @ 3:20am
Thanks mate, been looking for something like this. I think it is really fucked up that if you make a character that is very tall, the camera is still stuck at the same height as everyone else's, namely at the chest. This makes it really annoying having taller characters.
