BTW this reminds me....there's this Space Pirate observation tower in Space
Engineers. In certain sections of it when you enter the area you'll hear an alarm
saying "enemy detected". Then 2 seconds later the whole room blows up.

BlackArmor  [author] 21 Jan, 2018 @ 1:59pm
One of the updates broke that feature but I know how to fix that
DinkleDonkleBingleBangle 21 Jan, 2018 @ 11:50am

It's a blast! Nice!
BlackArmor  [author] 31 Mar, 2017 @ 1:30pm
That works too
GameSpender 31 Mar, 2017 @ 12:18pm
add a block of metal and remove it after pasting :P
BlackArmor  [author] 25 Mar, 2017 @ 10:03am
Well no, some part of the thing has to be above the ground. If you try to paste it you'll understand, it can only go into the ground up to the position that you have clicked to copy the blueprint
GameSpender 25 Mar, 2017 @ 5:34am
so you could remove the ore detectors on the top and make it completly unoticable?
BlackArmor  [author] 4 Feb, 2017 @ 8:36am
They sure fly!
Deathlok-L17 4 Feb, 2017 @ 4:54am
poor puppies! lol
Rotiart 3 Feb, 2017 @ 9:45pm
Oh yeah. It's so annoying when you paste a bunch of blueprints to play with, and then you paste one where the turrets are on, and it just starts destroying shit.
BlackArmor  [author] 3 Feb, 2017 @ 8:52am
@Rotiart
I think that's the case here. What's worse is that no one turns their turrets off, so they paste their stuff in to show you and it instantly starts destroying your world
Rotiart 3 Feb, 2017 @ 5:20am
It's fairly easy to make the paster the owner, which a lot of people (Who put turrets on their creations) don't do. All you have to do is set all the blocks to owned by you before copying and uploading the creation. Whoever pastes the creation will then have ownership

Hmmmm bad news for mehr though... Since they a targetable as you just said yourself they'll bei Shot at in my worlds... even the underground warhead is not safe... . As stated before longrange weapons fly and target through voxels since those are only rendered with physical properties around the player and grids too I presume. In other words... i'll have to equip my minefields with cloaking devices so they ain't targetable. It's unfortunate that there is no faction orl owner of grids that is untargetable... still love that paste lifehack^^
BlackArmor  [author] 3 Feb, 2017 @ 12:17am
@venator2070
I assume whoever pastes the BP in is the designated owner, however the mines will blow up if anything go near it. I have just tested against SPRT drones, and as I suspected they will only destory the ore detector that pokes out of the ground but the warhead underneath remains active. It actually becomes more deadly because now the warhead is completely hidden.

This is also Hilarious again wolves and sabiroids, they go flying! Ill have to make another video of it.
venator2070 2 Feb, 2017 @ 11:48pm
And what about ownership? Owned by nobody or the paster/ builder?
BlackArmor  [author] 2 Feb, 2017 @ 8:12pm
Thanks dood :)
Deathlok-L17 2 Feb, 2017 @ 8:12pm
This thing is badass man! very fun:steamhappy:
BlackArmor  [author] 2 Feb, 2017 @ 9:59am
Shields like mods? No idea, I don't test mod capabilities. Right now it's set to detect all players and small or large ships that pass over it, each mine is triggered individually. I have not tested to see if it can be targetted by turrets, I would assume not. The ore detector is the only part that sticks out of the ground and the warhead is underneath.

I will go test that out right now, also I was wondering if this would work against cyberhound and sabiroids :D
venator2070 2 Feb, 2017 @ 9:24am
Is it effective against shielded vehicles? Also what does It detect. Lastly what about detection via turrets/ownership? Is it targetable? ( i use Mods where peojectiles sometimes fly through voxels because their range is that great and the physical rendering of voxels seems to be bound to a area around the player)
JCapt 1 Feb, 2017 @ 9:12pm
Oooh! That'll be fun!
BlackArmor  [author] 1 Feb, 2017 @ 9:10pm
Oh you just wait. This was originally just 1 small piece in a defensive fortifications world I am building, but it was so much fun I decided it could be its own post
JCapt 1 Feb, 2017 @ 9:09pm
Now I can get some WWII tanks and stuff and have my own battle! Thanks for the mine field!
