it s fully update but the problem is persistent... in the paste of the RPFM it has 4 exes
RPFM.exe
RPFM_CLI.exe
RPFM_MOD_CHECKER.exe
RPFM_UI.exe
you know whats the difference bettween these?

Its in the About menu, "Check Schema Updates". Might as well do the other updates there too.
Konstantinos 23 Aug, 2022 @ 4:00pm
i dowloaded the newest version (got uploaded 14 hours ago).. what are the schema files?? are they included in the RPFM?
Volcano  [author] 23 Aug, 2022 @ 3:54pm
Thanks, hopefully you'll figure it out with trial and error. The main thing is:
-Make sure RPFM is up to date
-Make sure the shema files are most recent
-Make sure the correct game is selected in top menu: Game Selected->Shogun 2
...and that's about all I know. Have fun. :steamsunny:

it updated automatically.... hmm well i ll see what i will do... thanks a lot bro, good luck with the WH3 modding !!
Volcano  [author] 23 Aug, 2022 @ 3:44pm
Unfortunately I can't provide much more help than this since the big WH3 update came out today and I will be working on fixing those mods for quite some time. Hopefully that helps though.
Volcano  [author] 23 Aug, 2022 @ 3:44pm
...and if of course you have to make sure the correct game is selected.
Volcano  [author] 23 Aug, 2022 @ 3:43pm
Yes the RPFM has to be updated, which it should do automatically (if not then you have to do it manually) to update the schemas and some kind of "hotfix" patch for the thing. I just opened it and its fine, after doing all that.

By the way when i opened your mod with the RPFM it showed no tables inside (0 tables)
Konstantinos 23 Aug, 2022 @ 3:39pm
Now i have another problem. When i open the mods file packs with RPFM they have inside the tables. When i open the vanilla data packs (data.pack , datafots.pack e.t.c.) they are empty with no tables inside. I downloaded the Assemby Kit for S2TW from steam and found the data tables in the form of xtml files for each table.I opened the xtml file with notepad. Now i just need to transform the xtml into a pack file which i dont know how to do. I am waiting multiple answers because i wrote this problem in other peoples mods too !! You know anything?
Volcano  [author] 23 Aug, 2022 @ 3:29pm
I don't see why it wouldn't work - it was working before and they haven't updated Shogun 2 in ages. Looks like its working for me (that strategic map changes are subtle, most of the adjustments are due to arrival time, duration, and number of shots in the battles).

Changes are made in the "bombardment_quality_to_artillery_support_modifiers_tables" table.
Konstantinos 23 Aug, 2022 @ 3:25pm
Anyway man the mod doesnt work... i play along MoS and other mods including some personal mods but none of these mess with the bombardment. What is the table of the bombardment range values??
Volcano  [author] 22 Aug, 2022 @ 7:05pm
Yep, exactly, they aren't 15 inch guns from WW2 battleships, they were civil war era guns.
Have fun. :steamsunny:
Konstantinos 22 Aug, 2022 @ 1:43pm
Effective range of the period guns is up to 3,5 kms so reducing it is 100 % realistic !!

I think you have confused explaining with some kind of aggression. A very odd interaction.
Oh well.
Volcano  [author] 24 Feb, 2022 @ 12:29am
I am not worked up, you came here to "inform me" that you disagreed with the mod, and stated the reasons why. I am simply explaining the rationale for everyone else who might read this, so that the record simply isn't just your drive-by opinion.
Volcano  [author] 23 Feb, 2022 @ 11:51pm
...

Otherwise if you disagree with the mod, then I am not sure why you would be using it, nor taking the time to prove that its "wrong". I am thinking about it from the campaign perspective, while you might be thinking about it from a literal perspective - that is, on how effective it is literally, in a battle within the parameters that it would be used (which I am saying the campaign allows it to be effectively used far beyond that, thereby making it far too effective as a whole).

But I completely disagree with the idea that the naval bombardments would be as effective as they are in the standard game. Nope, sorry.
Volcano  [author] 23 Feb, 2022 @ 11:48pm
I think you might be misunderstanding what I am saying...

I am talking about the map of Japan (the campaign map), not the battle map. The fact that your battle can be located on a coastal province, but the battlefield might be 10 to 15 MILES inland (but still inside that large bombardment circle - just compare it to a map of Japan), away from the coast. This is what doesn't make sense, that the naval bombardments can be used much further from the shore than is realistic (because otherwise it wouldn't be fun with bombardments only allowed right on the shore).

So, I disagree with what you are saying -- I think the naval bombardments have to be much weaker to make sense, otherwise they play too much of a role on the campaign, and too much influence on the situation. Naval bombardments can still be useful and effective, but you need a larger amount of ships for this, and you have fewer artillery calls, and longer time between those calls.

ohhh, that explains it, thank you!
Volcano  [author] 10 Aug, 2021 @ 9:28am
Ah yes, I suppose I should have mentioned that its intended to be used with my longer battle mod - I will edit the description to include the link. But yes, otherwise if the battles are the standard length, then they will likely all be over before the first naval bombardment is ready to use.
The Spy Is A Heavy 10 Aug, 2021 @ 3:03am
I really feel like this neuters naval bombardment, the cooldown is just so long it's pointless to use
