Also, question - for some reason, recently whenever i paste this planet in my worlds it does not seem to be aligned correctly; with how the sun rotates, the planet as posted appears to have its northern pole of the axis of rotation placed somewhere around the Germany/Austria area, rather than the "actual" north pole; is there any way to fix this? I would be most grateful for assistance!

set the water radius for this TERRA AQUA using /wradius 1.02703 (i prefer 1.02701 because i like my shorelines a little lower)
Imperialer Offizer 11-B 23 Aug, 2024 @ 10:25am
well since your terra aqua has just 1-2 km from surface to orbit its the badest idea to make surface even higher. and i am using the Jakaria's water mod
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 23 Aug, 2024 @ 10:15am
Depending on the water mod you're using you can tweak the height of the water
Imperialer Offizer 11-B 23 Aug, 2024 @ 9:25am
sry but even worse. water is way below the ice. is the watermod not supposed to remove the ice?
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 23 Aug, 2024 @ 8:16am
You want to spawn TerraAqua, not simply Terra. TerraAqua has a lowered sea floor to accomodate water mods
Imperialer Offizer 11-B 22 Aug, 2024 @ 10:54pm
can it be that this mod has a problem wiht the watermod? if i activate the water i have both ice and water in the same place. can someone comfirm that?
IELEMENTiIXI 18 Aug, 2024 @ 9:32am
I personally think we will never truly know until the flying Spagetti God will show us the way.

All jokes aside it is a pretty nice planet.
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 18 Aug, 2024 @ 7:31am
Learned people know the Earth has actually the shape of a doughnut (some even use the fancy term "torus"), but the game engine didn't allow that.

Other theorise the Earth is actually spherical but we're living at the inner side of the earth, gravity pushing outward.
IELEMENTiIXI 17 Aug, 2024 @ 5:57pm
can´t recommend. Is not flat. Kappa.

pov: you found earth.. but. were did all the humans go?!?!?
23232sus || OIIA || 5 Jun, 2024 @ 1:54am
why ice oceans spawn on both variants?
Mad maX 29 May, 2024 @ 1:48am
Another request to please update. I really like this mod...but there seems to be a growing consensus (on Reddit) that this mod is causing random crashes, which I've been experiencing since the Signals update.

Can you fix the Hawaiian islands please.
Imperialer Offizer 11-B 20 Dec, 2023 @ 10:00am
ah well ok
Yamaxanadu 19 Dec, 2023 @ 9:01pm
its probably just a spawnable planet brother
Imperialer Offizer 11-B 15 Dec, 2023 @ 3:28am
what? hä? that was not my question. again: is this not in Solar system scenario? or other wise in waht secnario is your mod taking place
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 15 Dec, 2023 @ 1:34am
I grant permission to use it in other mods when asked, so it's entirely possible the planet has been used in such a mod :D
Imperialer Offizer 11-B 14 Dec, 2023 @ 12:50pm
is this not in Solar system scenario?
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 7 Sep, 2023 @ 3:54am
One of the 2 planets included, TerraAqua, is designed for it (lowered ocean floor). The regular Terra has a solid ice floor.
Dreadnought 6 Sep, 2023 @ 4:41pm
is this compatable with the water mod?
Captain Redbeard 25 Feb, 2023 @ 5:50am
Just discovered it. Love what you've done with the map. A few mates of mine are getting together to play IRL countries on it :D
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 25 Feb, 2023 @ 5:37am
You may enjoy the new version then : Terra Remake
Captain Redbeard 24 Feb, 2023 @ 10:20pm
I think that additional depth and variation in depth for Terra Aqua would be a great addition for us naval players
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 7 Feb, 2023 @ 4:30pm
Update about the remake : the biome map has been remade from the ground up with a real biome map.

A major source of headaches... but worth it :D
FuzoFox 6 Feb, 2023 @ 10:01am
true
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 6 Feb, 2023 @ 9:37am
Can't do miracles, the water will only be at sea level. Which means I had to cheat a little bit for the Caspian Sea. So rivers and elevated lakes will remain in ice.
乂Oo忘★了愛oO乂 6 Feb, 2023 @ 7:02am
Hopefully the river will be deep enough for the water mod to run
FuzoFox 5 Feb, 2023 @ 12:16pm
yay the sun is now in the right direction thank you very much with these steps!
I'm really glad with a realistic planet ^^ :hardhat:
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 5 Feb, 2023 @ 9:11am
This will not be an update to Terra and TerraAqua, as using the new heightmap would break elevation. Most likely putting most built structures on existing saves deep underground. This will be a new planet (currently called TerraRemake but I'll probably find a better name eventually)
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 5 Feb, 2023 @ 9:08am
ANNOUNCEMENT : I'm working on a FULL REMAKE of the planet, made from the ground up with a new heightmap. It will be designed with the water mod in mind.

Improvements so far :

- 16-bit elevation : completely removes the bumps that are everywhere on Terra, that resulted from a 8-bit heightmap.
- ocean floor : shallow seas have enough depth for most ship designs, while deep oceans will allow some submarine action. The Marianas Trench is deeper than the Everest is high.
FuzoFox 5 Feb, 2023 @ 5:55am
oh ok found the problem
FuzoFox 5 Feb, 2023 @ 4:02am
oh can you also tell me what's the difference between Terra and Terra Aqua ?
FuzoFox 4 Feb, 2023 @ 8:23pm
How can I place Earth Terra correctly when i place it antarctica face the sun and all the time the wrong side
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 29 Jan, 2023 @ 9:09am
The problem with cities is the resolution of the map : at the equator 1 pixel = 5 km real = 50m at max vanilla size. It only gets slighty better at more temperate latitudes. The entire island of Manhattan would have fewer pixels than a single letter.
tyreecottman420 23 Jan, 2023 @ 3:32pm
welp my plan of the future is to add city's but ill stick with the owners idea's
Tassi 13 Jan, 2023 @ 11:36pm
When i spawn the Terra it doesnt have any ice, and instead has grass and other terrain in its place
audi 23 Nov, 2022 @ 11:59pm
Hey there! Any way to remove Uranium from the mod? I love the planet either way so thank you!!
mr.westbrook 5 Nov, 2022 @ 11:38pm
Do you have plans in the future to model the sea bed for the Jakara water mod world version???
Comradebusman3 23 Sep, 2022 @ 8:19pm
This is great! Think you'll make one using topographical data of the ocean floor to make a geographically complete earth?
SilverStream 22 Sep, 2022 @ 2:30pm
Hello,
do you have a mod with just the water addition as i do not wish the ice one to be spawned in too as useing sandbox generator??
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 18 Sep, 2022 @ 2:01pm
Yes you can upload a modified version, if there is a link to the original.
Palpatine 18 Sep, 2022 @ 9:58am
Can I do a private reupload of the aqua version for a server? I want to cut the rivers and the oceans a bit deeper and map major cities as voxel building and add more ore mappings for spawning in larger than vanilla.
My updates would be public if you wanted to use them.
Duke of Lorraine  [author] 19 Aug, 2022 @ 6:30pm
Indeed, near the equator it's around 1 pixel on the heightmap per 5km. It gets slightly more favourable the closer from the poles you get, but it's limited to 6 2048x2048 pics to code everything. The Grand Canyon has a width between 5.5 and 30 km so it will be very rough.
jamesmule 18 Aug, 2022 @ 12:59pm
@Cosmonautical_Alex The Colorado River exists as a deep valley, so technically yes, but the terrain resolution is way too low for it to look like you probably expect it, as it's just a few meters wide in the game.
Cosmonautical_Alex 18 Aug, 2022 @ 11:43am
If this uses real topology is there a grand canyon?
Angelsbane 4 Aug, 2022 @ 9:29pm
I only have a minor complaint about the Rocky mountains on the west coast of North America.. Even on a Textured Globe, they aren't that exaggerated. Other than that, pretty cool man. =)
jamesmule 22 Jun, 2022 @ 5:43am
@Sniper There are no platinum pixels on the image files that place ore deposits, so no. But there isn't any platinum on the vanilla Earth-like planet either.
