I see. Well, I've disabled a lot of mods and don't have the issue anymore. It could also be that the files were broken/corrupt somehow. - I'll ry re-enable your mod and see how things turn out.
Thanks for replying.
I was referring to Skyrim version 1.5. We are now much further down the road from this patch. My mod only has 1 version, and it is highly unprobable that it negatively impacted anything visually. The only possible conflicts you may find with my mod are with other mods that modify the Archery skill tree. Outside of that one time, and you're almost guaranteed never to have any conflicts.
Ah, this may be the one who broke my gloves visuals. My char looks as if he has no arms. Sounds like what you're describing?
Kurt Rhinehart.
Or do you mean the REALLY annyoing bug, when arrows/bolts just pass right through an enemy?
This happens a lot in the game whether or not you have this mod. It's not your fault which I see you're aware of.
I find it annoying, you lose more arrows than would be realistic, so I'm subscribing to yur mod and will consider it a sort of fix rather than a cheat. ;)
No you do not level up. It modifies the one perk alone, and nothing else.
haha i know what you mean, also does someone have problems when shooting and this kinda bullettime killcam comes up and fucks up your shot? Like sometimes the arrow just dissapears or go throu the target.
Now if someone can fix the invisible edges on some rocks and other items that deflect\stop arrows that were supposed to hit.
You shot his spelling, not his grammar. Also, it's a shame Skyrim doesn't have hit detection... It would be awesome to, say, get an instant kill if you manage to shoot your target in the heart, or get a damage multiplier if your shot lands between armor plates.
As I am an archer in real life, I know that arrows break if they dont hit the prey properly (thats mostly refered to the loose (lettling go) of an arrow) or if you miss the target and the arrow gets deflected and hits other things, such as stones, rocks, bones and even trees.
A perfekt shot means the target was hit properly and you can recover your arrow, without having to correct its shaft, which, with a proper loose, should be straight.
An archer doesnt kill animals through shooting 12 arrows in its butt!
The aim is to hit the animal (or foe) in its "kill".
To hit a perfect kill, the arrow pierces both lungs and cuts the heart deep.
Then the prey wont be able to run off far will bleed and die asap. Perfect!
Oh, another thing: Normaly a quiver has 12 arrows. A good hunter will need three.
Hope I could give you some interesting information.
Have fun and thanks for your mod!!!
The only way it wouldn't be compatible is if he for some odd reason modified this perk, Hunter's Discipline. If his mod doesn't do that then it's fine.
I'm positive it's 100% chance, and always works. If you are killing enemies with your bow and finding no arrows it's because the type of foe you're facing deflects arrows rather than absorbs them (they still take damage however.) In these cases you must look for your arrows lying around on the floor.
Examples of these types of creatures are mudcrabs and any type of skeleton. There are likely a few more, but these are the most common you'll see.
Skyrim =/= real life, and there's nothing wrong with a fantasy rpg perk that let's you get your arrows back all the time.
A mod that makes the arrow-loss percentage dependant on the armor-level of the target would be interesting. (hitting hard surfaces is the main reason for arrows to break). I wonder if that is possible.
As far as changing it to be less than 100% chance, I sadly decline that idea. In my vision of Skyrim, where mages can shoot fireballs from their hands and assassins can crouch past someone in a well lit tavern without being detected, the possibility of an experienced hunter being able to always collect his arrows from his prey is just not too far fetched. If you prefer a less than always chance, I recommend opening up creation kit and changing my mod or making your own.
Thanks again.
