This mod isn't supported anymore. But the skyscraper thing can be avoided by only enabling the mod after you have generated the map.

I think this mod doesn't get updated so that must be the reason that this makes so many errors and crashes games:steamsad:

Another positive is that using these buildings you can restrict the AI from placing things that you don't want, like streets in certain special places.

Good job on the YouTube video clip and the simple way it shows how this works. The amount of people who say it doesn't work should watch this and will see that it works.

This mod Keeps crashing my game its saying Lua Error

It crashed my new game but someone else had this problem. It looks like it's one of those mods you activate after starting and saving a game. I guess I should make a note of that someplace. Of course then I will forget to look at the note. Hopefully TpF2 will have a note icon by the mod that warns the player. I thought TpF had that or maybe you forgot to check that when you uploaded the last version.

play the game first with it disabled, save, go to menu, on load click on +, activate the mod and click on load... During the game, place some roads conected to a highway for example. plop the residential and select level ground, ppl capacity high, rotate if need to the front door get close to street, then speed up the game and wait 1-2 months... and youre done... random ppl will pop up walking near the house you just built. Same logic for commercial and industrial

Is it possible to generate complete new cities? When I place a building, it is assigned to the nearest city.

I continue to use this excellent mod. To add small towns where I need them at rail stops that have nothing more than a pub and a couple of houses. It works fine.
Follow the instructions. Start a game and THEN add after the game is running. Do not add the newest skyscrapers to a 1890 map. D not try to build entire cities this way. Do ensure that the buildings have access via a road to a train station or other town.

I'm not your type of language, it's a savegame mod. So you have start and save a game, and load it in the load and start the mod.

As far as I can see the mod still works as intended. My computer hard drive has more bad blocks than detroit so please do t expect updates.

CALM DOWN! It works as a load. It won't work if you start another game. You have save and exit, look on the load button, and find the mod, start.

Buildings do not appear; only industry in the industry tab, installed both Industry and GX tycoon mods but those do not work; applied after starting a save game; reinstalled the mod but doesn't work; installed plop town buildings hub add-on but doesn't work.

Is there a way that I can edit the LUA files so that when I place a house with random trees, it doesn't use the forest floor/grass_wood texture underneath and just leaves the normal grass please?

Thank you so much for this mod. It does not add "new" cities... but does allow small villages to have real people. Perfect for adding population to hamlets and villages that need to be served by local trains and busses.

One question for the modder, the buidlings have a persons capacity of nil/small/medium/high Can you give an idea of how many people these options will generate, I don't want to add too many people.

I presume that these buildings will NOT update automatically and have to be replaced manually. But what happens if the AI is encouraged by this mod to expand... will the AI delete them or build around them. I will find out myself in the fullness of time... but....:steamhappy:

This is perfect for someone like me. Also, for the SPECIAL boys and girls, in case you weren't capable of of figuring out the info, start your game, save, add the mod, and then it will work.(Anyone who needs to read this is unable to comprehend simple information.

It does work. Load a game and then save it, then add this mod and reload the game. When playing, place the buildings next to a road/street and you'll find it works, however some people say that no Cim's use these buildings, so it's quite possible that these buildings may not "grow".

Sorry to say but I get no action with the buildings. Should an established town get a sudden influx of pop due to the new res. housing ? or is my understanding wrong ?

@1194304848 Are you starting a new game? If yes, read the discription (especially the DO NOT part) Now, try starting a new game -> disable this mod when creating a new map/game -> save map when in-game and close to main menu -> now, choose load game -> press the + mark to add mods to existing savegame -> add this mod and load your savegame.

As it is a script-mod, you need to preferably load it as one of your first mods.

I recently discovered this for me and it works great. Want to thank you, love it. Changes large portions of the game for me.
But: "Size 4 or 5 industrial buildings don't work, same for C4 commercial buildings." May I ask why not? Is there nothing that can be done?
