I was reading older comments on here when I saw your size question.
The answer was in the Paradox Cities Skylines Wiki.
I figured out (by experimenting on my map) that if I moved a crematorium that was not sending out hearses (though there were a lot of dead bodies) out of the radius of another crematorium, it immediately started sending out it's hearses.
So apparently you can have the radiuses of the crems overlapping, but you don't want to actually have one crem located inside the radius of another crem. Good thing to figure out, eh?
Did you mean set the radius on my Crematorium for 1800?
Off the record and don't tell anyone at all because they can never know ;) Set to 1800 for the best game experiance.
:^)
I'll check that out.
And you are right - sometimes CS's data stats don't make sense - but it's still the best game out there, right?
.....chuckle....

Hi Pop :^) Good to hear from you again. I know how to get to the Radius setting in Asset Manager for the Crematorium. I just don't know how many of "what" the setting refers to. For example. If I put 50 in the Radius setting box, am I saying I want the hearses to travel only 50 tiles along a tiled road (freeways don't have them) out in each direction from the crematorium, or 50 Cim miles (and how do I figure that) or within an area of 50 square mapping tiles with the crematorium at it's center. I have no idea what increment of measure the Radius setting on the radius box in the crematorium asset settings window to the right is referring to. Do you know? If not, maybe I need to contact Emmi at Colossal and see if she can tell us all .... it is probably something we'd all like to know when creating service assets.
:^)
:^)
Do either of you know how to figure the Radius on my asset? I need some help here....
For example, if the radius is 100, does that mean hearses travel 100 tiles out in every direction from the Crematorium.... or only 50 on each side? Or is the radius figured by tiles at all?
I'm totally guessing on the radius distances, as I don't know what increment of distance is being used by the game. Do either of you know?
Need a little help here before I can fix my asset. Help, Help????
:^)
Oh - I forgot and should probably warn you. I'm only on CS daily in the winter. In the summer I'm outside soaking up as much sunshine and fresh air as I can get, so I might not answer immediately .... but be assured I will answer your Friends chat as soon as I get on the computer again.
:^)
Thanks, Pop. I always feel more comfortable knowing you are "in my corner".
:^)
Oops - didn't know the radius being larger would create this problem. I'm new at this, you see.
Please tell me what radius you'd like and I'll create another one for that radius......and maybe even use it myself.
Let's discuss this further in CHAT. I'll put out a Friends request to you and maybe you can teach me a few things. I love to pick other people's brains and I have a very important question to ask. Hoping you have the answer.
:^)
You mentioned that Pop had some "serious competition". Nope.
:^)
Populous really has no "serious" competition from me - I'm not serious enough about my modding - love doing it but just to create things to use in my own games and if others want to use em it pleases me .... but Populous is REALLY into making new mods, etc., for others to use. He'll be doing it long after I have everything I need made and start just "playing in my games" again. And he has the interest to go waaayyyy further than I will ever care to go with this - he might even start making things none of us have thought of yet.....cause he's always "thinking" and I've discovered that his mind goes six-ways-from-Sunday when he does something .... mine just hops along in a straight line towards what I'm working towards....even though I've tried to "think logically about the uses of my creations" as he has instructed me to do ...... chuckle......
:^)
Thanks fellas (or Pop and Ms. Mad? .... dunno). But thanks anyway, both of you, for all your kudos. You are right, MadTech - without Populous's help I'd NEVER be able to do anything but the parks. Buildings were waaayyyyyy beyond me, but Pop and Mrs. Pop are very patient people and he has helped me a LOT. Thanks Pop.
:^)
p.s. Populous, if you're reading this well done on your tutelage but watch out, you've got some serious competition. ;-p
