I assume you found out that a Single square is 8m by 8m & a Map square is 8Km by 8Km.
I was reading older comments on here when I saw your size question.
The answer was in the Paradox Cities Skylines Wiki.

Yup - works great. :^) Need to check all my other CityService facilities next time I open my game and be sure they are not sitting "inside" a radius for one of their duplicate facilities. Learning new things every day.... :^) ......
Populous 25 Sep, 2017 @ 7:44am
Seems exactly as I suggested, works huh :)

OH! Hey Pop and Painful Agenda!!
I figured out (by experimenting on my map) that if I moved a crematorium that was not sending out hearses (though there were a lot of dead bodies) out of the radius of another crematorium, it immediately started sending out it's hearses.
So apparently you can have the radiuses of the crems overlapping, but you don't want to actually have one crem located inside the radius of another crem. Good thing to figure out, eh?
Beth2020  [author] 24 Sep, 2017 @ 10:47pm
Oops - that building would topple in a slight breeze, right?
Did you mean set the radius on my Crematorium for 1800?
Populous 24 Sep, 2017 @ 10:38pm
Each quire is a tile and is 3.2808399 feet. Obviously the designers did not take geometry (a 20 story building in game is only about 13 feet wide in reality.

Off the record and don't tell anyone at all because they can never know ;) Set to 1800 for the best game experiance.
Beth2020  [author] 24 Sep, 2017 @ 9:55pm
So how many feet (or meters) are represented by a tile on the road? Or one of the larger "game-map" tiles? Is there a place to look for that? Should I go search through the skylineswiki?
Beth2020  [author] 24 Sep, 2017 @ 9:42pm
Thanks Pop
:^)
I'll check that out.
And you are right - sometimes CS's data stats don't make sense - but it's still the best game out there, right?
.....chuckle....
:^)
Populous 22 Sep, 2017 @ 6:38pm
Ah, the age old question no one actually knows the answers too and then the game ignores the settings anyway... 1 radious= 3.2808399 feet, but here is where it falls apart... setting the radious to 1609 = 1 mile... What facility in the world can't travel 20 miles... the game wont let you set it that high. Here you go my friend: http://www.skylineswiki.com/Asset_Properties
Populous 22 Sep, 2017 @ 6:37pm
Your setting is 5009 or 3.11 miles.... now tell me a hurse cannot travel three miles in reasonable time.....

@Populous
Hi Pop :^) Good to hear from you again. I know how to get to the Radius setting in Asset Manager for the Crematorium. I just don't know how many of "what" the setting refers to. For example. If I put 50 in the Radius setting box, am I saying I want the hearses to travel only 50 tiles along a tiled road (freeways don't have them) out in each direction from the crematorium, or 50 Cim miles (and how do I figure that) or within an area of 50 square mapping tiles with the crematorium at it's center. I have no idea what increment of measure the Radius setting on the radius box in the crematorium asset settings window to the right is referring to. Do you know? If not, maybe I need to contact Emmi at Colossal and see if she can tell us all .... it is probably something we'd all like to know when creating service assets.
:^)
Populous 18 Sep, 2017 @ 5:57pm
Painful Agenda has a very good point. I am still inclined put four over lapping each others are rather then 12 stock assets for the same coverage.
Populous 18 Sep, 2017 @ 5:54pm
Open in asset manager, the settings window to the right has an entry box with the term Radious...
Beth2020  [author] 18 Sep, 2017 @ 3:14am
And again - not on the game most days during the summer, but I'll fix it as soon as I get back on if either of you can help me figure out the increment of measure the game is using for radius.
:^)
Beth2020  [author] 18 Sep, 2017 @ 3:11am
@Populous and Painful Agenda
Do either of you know how to figure the Radius on my asset? I need some help here....

For example, if the radius is 100, does that mean hearses travel 100 tiles out in every direction from the Crematorium.... or only 50 on each side? Or is the radius figured by tiles at all?

I'm totally guessing on the radius distances, as I don't know what increment of distance is being used by the game. Do either of you know?

Need a little help here before I can fix my asset. Help, Help????

:^)

That said, honestly this one is so beautiful I want to keep it more unique so I only use it in confined areas as features where everything is more visible or points of beauty in the city and low residential areas so it stands out as visually appealing, but that's just me.
Populous 2 Sep, 2017 @ 9:40am
Hey Painful Agenda, the concept of this type of asset is to allow fewer crem, however one must make sure the areas over lap allowing for dual access to the distant edges of the access readious so better coverage with fewer running crem and better support.
Painful Agenda 2 Sep, 2017 @ 7:59am
I had to use vanila crems with all these lovely ones due to this problem.
Painful Agenda 2 Sep, 2017 @ 7:58am
If I use vanila crem I have to place a lot of then but don't have that issue so I suspect it's due to the radius
Painful Agenda 2 Sep, 2017 @ 7:57am
Yes as there's 22 hearse in a 81 tile city or 25 it spawn all from this funeral home until 22 cars are dispatched as it has large radius before it spawn from another. This results in them having to travel over 15 tiles to pick up 1 dead body and back so dead builds up even though it can handle it. Especially if they get stuck in 1 traffic jam
Beth2020  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 7:01am
@Painful Agenda
Oh - I forgot and should probably warn you. I'm only on CS daily in the winter. In the summer I'm outside soaking up as much sunshine and fresh air as I can get, so I might not answer immediately .... but be assured I will answer your Friends chat as soon as I get on the computer again.
:^)
Beth2020  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 6:59am
@Populous
Thanks, Pop. I always feel more comfortable knowing you are "in my corner".
:^)
Beth2020  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 6:57am
@Painful Agenda
Oops - didn't know the radius being larger would create this problem. I'm new at this, you see.

Please tell me what radius you'd like and I'll create another one for that radius......and maybe even use it myself.

Let's discuss this further in CHAT. I'll put out a Friends request to you and maybe you can teach me a few things. I love to pick other people's brains and I have a very important question to ask. Hoping you have the answer.
:^)
Painful Agenda 1 Sep, 2017 @ 4:56am
Can you make a version of this with a smaller radius as in large city this big radius prevents other deathcare spawning and results in loads dead
Populous 12 Apr, 2017 @ 6:10pm
Oh, no... you are "Serious" competition if push came to shove... and we both mod for the exact same reasons. Now I have made many things now common place that no one ever thought of before me, but again, because I wanted them in my game... I do remain your very first fan.
Beth2020  [author] 8 Apr, 2017 @ 6:24pm
@MadTech
You mentioned that Pop had some "serious competition". Nope.

:^)

Populous really has no "serious" competition from me - I'm not serious enough about my modding - love doing it but just to create things to use in my own games and if others want to use em it pleases me .... but Populous is REALLY into making new mods, etc., for others to use. He'll be doing it long after I have everything I need made and start just "playing in my games" again. And he has the interest to go waaayyyy further than I will ever care to go with this - he might even start making things none of us have thought of yet.....cause he's always "thinking" and I've discovered that his mind goes six-ways-from-Sunday when he does something .... mine just hops along in a straight line towards what I'm working towards....even though I've tried to "think logically about the uses of my creations" as he has instructed me to do ...... chuckle......
:^)
Populous 7 Apr, 2017 @ 6:07pm
Clearly you are worth it as a modder and a person :)
Beth2020  [author] 7 Apr, 2017 @ 3:09pm
@Populous and MadTech
Thanks fellas (or Pop and Ms. Mad? .... dunno). But thanks anyway, both of you, for all your kudos. You are right, MadTech - without Populous's help I'd NEVER be able to do anything but the parks. Buildings were waaayyyyyy beyond me, but Pop and Mrs. Pop are very patient people and he has helped me a LOT. Thanks Pop.
:^)
Populous 5 Apr, 2017 @ 9:25pm
#1 mod this week per my view.... yes proud to have inspired.
MadTech 4 Apr, 2017 @ 5:18pm
That's cool though :steamhappy:
Populous 4 Apr, 2017 @ 5:03pm
I have noticed that I have created a, no Unleashed an artist
MadTech 4 Apr, 2017 @ 12:12pm
I had subscribed to the original a couple days after you posted it, but have now switched to this one. Very nicely presented almost looks real. Excellent Job.

p.s. Populous, if you're reading this well done on your tutelage but watch out, you've got some serious competition. ;-p
Beth2020  [author] 18 Feb, 2017 @ 7:50am
Thanks - I thought it was pretty too. Hope others like it.
Populous 15 Feb, 2017 @ 6:49am
The most beautiful I have seen to date.
