More Critters and Scenery (Non-FU version)"
I'll tell you if I find it
I've updated the mod. Can you go to that spot again to make sure it's working now?
@seankodey:
I've taken a look; I've found that none of the critters from vanilla and this mod has HP more than 1. I've upped the super critter net's damage a bit anyway, but if you got screenshot which critters specifically you mean, I can take a more closer look at them.
You're welcome. Its not a big issue on my part as I can just transport these critters with that gun thing or catch them in capture pods but I thought it to still be worth pointing out.
There, near its lowest point
Thanks for the clarification. I think that should be easy to fix. Maybe tomorrow, I don't have the chance to do it right now. Do you still remember where the spot is?
@seankodey:
I'll look into that, thanks for the report.
The new bug critters are fine though. They go out in one hit.
Made a new character and a new universe, I was exploring a floran hunting ruin and got teleported. Looked at the log, and saw that "MC_" error. It was something not intuitive like "shadowscorpion", but rather a "tammiecritter" of some sorts.
I went back to the same ruin and it happened again in the same exact spot.
I then unsubscribed from the lore patch, came back to the same exact spot and nothing happened. And I am living happily thereafter.
Hmm, without the log it's a bit difficult. So I need more information.
First, I need to know, when exploring underground (and got teleported), what mods were you using? This mod (the non-FU version), or the FU version (made by Rcmxbox https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=731549837) ?
Second, when you unsubscribed from FU, did you start a new character after that, or continue using the same character?
Do you remember what critters that you find yourself difficult to catch? Most of the critters from this mod should have very low health.
While exploring underground i was teleported to the ship and the only thing that appeared in the log was something that started with "MC_" stating that it couldn't spawn a specific critter. The same error appeared when i unsubscribed from FU and forgot of changing this mod for the non-FU, so I figured it could be something related.
It happened some day ago, so I can't post the exact log, but if you could take I look i'd be glad ^^
BTW now that I've used it I'd like to note one thing that needs changing. The net itself. You use the net to catch an item version of the critter but it is pretty ineffective because critters have a lot of health and the net deals very little damage. So the net kinda needs a damage boost. Either that or a new, more effective version of the net needs to be added.
As for the relocator, yes, relocator works on critters - both vanilla critters and critters from this mod. They should stay in your planet.
@BobaAsdf: if there are high enough demands on no-Undertale version I'd make that patch.
Could include static "preserved" animals if obtained with one tool, and animated caged animals with another tool.
Dumb question, also: does the relocator work on the critters? In case, yknow, I want to add wildlife to a barren planet that ISN'T hostile.
That thing is too beutiful, and I may be an undertale fan, but I don't want UT characters in my Starbound.
However you bring up an interesting issue... should the "captured" (by the critter net) critters be inanimated decoration, or should it be something that stays in your cage? It feels a bit cruel to preserve the animals (and we have a mod for hunters anyway: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=729693409 ) So I might make them stay in a cage instead.
What do you think?
It is not yet "fixed"... as the vanilla methods of capture isn't with the net anyway. In vanilla, the net is used to put bugs inside a jar, becoming a decoration. This mod operates with same logic: the net is used to preserve them as decoration.
In vanilla, to capture critters that will roam free in your environment, you need to use the relocator: http://starbounder.org/Relocator It's the same with this mod.
I mostly ask as that was the defining issue with the mod, for me. It sucked having motionless birds on my home planet instead of actual, flying birds.
Giraffe is in savannah biome. You can spawn him with
