I don't have either of those, but many of my friends do, and they tell the exact same thing as you guys. I cannot judge because I don't like Nintendo anyway, but I must say that I agree with you, Discoguy; even though it is true that the 3DS (which I have tried line, once in my life) hurts lots to the eyes.

sacrificing portability for compatibility is not my cup of tea if you can't even fold the darn thing. what if you don't have the accompining bag for storage? Its gonna get dusty and shit and it if you drop it then it will have a greater chance of breaking

2Ds just hase a stronger design than the 3Ds.
They made 2Ds becuase people were complaing about the 3D mode on the 3Ds was hurting thier eyes.
My point is...the 2Ds is BETTER than the 3Ds.
