@Giggles.
No worries, thanks for typing that though. Glad I've helped someone.

@Dragon32 Just wanted to thank you, you won't believe how many of your years old comments have helped me with modding troubles. You're seriously the true MVP.

Yes, you can do that. See the "INI values from Melancholia's "BleedOutMod"" Discussion for the values I use.

Any way to increase the chance of bleeding out?

Which XComGameCore.ini am I editing for the BleedOutMod values?
Dragon32 27 Oct, 2018 @ 5:22pm
Worked out what the problem was. In the XComGame.int it should be:
[BleedOutListenerCustomizer X2AbilityTemplate]

"Template" was missing from the pastebin. As two Hero soldiers didn't have the error I guess that means I need to add them into XComGame.ini

I assume they're:
ReaperSoldier
SkirmisherSoldier
TemplarSoldier

No biggie but for info I'm seeing that "LocFriendlyName" error in the Legacy missions

I'm doing It Came From The Sea. The Specialist and Sharpshooter have that error; the Templar, Skirmisher and Bradford do not.

I added that .int file a while ago.

just create XComGame.INT in the localization folder of the mod <steam_library_folder>/workshop/268500/864961550/Localization and put this in https://pastebin.com/FaXtWgGG

On the soldier inspection screen, where the soldier perks are listed, I get a blank perk from this mod. That's not a problem, except that the LocLongDescription and LocFriendlyName are missing, so it throws an ugly error.

See error screenshot [imgur.com]

Any chance you could fill these in with some dummy text, please? No need to hide the blank perk; merely saying "Has a chance to bleed out" would do. I'd do it myself if I knew how. Thanks. Love your work.

I'm really stupid and completely confused as to how I use this or modify the values.

Still works with WoTC?

Thank you!! I'll use this one instead then!

to change chance of bleeding out, go to your own config folder and open XComGameCore.ini, the chances are right below [XComGame.X2StatusEffects] (the bleedout turns there will be ignored by this mod)
-bg-  [author] 16 Feb, 2017 @ 6:39pm
You can set randomness on both base and upgraded.
=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil 16 Feb, 2017 @ 5:40pm
Sorry to ask again. So does this have the randomness like bleedoutmod, or is this just a set number?
LightenedDark 16 Feb, 2017 @ 3:57pm
What do I put in the ini to make it more likely that solider bleed out rather than die instantly. Also, thanks for making this

Merciful advent

Bg what does bleedoutmod clash with?? I do really like that mod! :)
Dragon32 16 Feb, 2017 @ 11:19am
Oh! I see now. I just asssumed it had all been rolled into BleedOutMod's replacement script.

Just clocked the variables which affect the percentages are exposed in XComGameCore.ini

Apologies for not doing my homework before asking the question.
-bg-  [author] 16 Feb, 2017 @ 11:06am
no, the chance to bleedout is already exposed in ini config that mod just change those values for you. I don't need class overrides because I use an event listener instead.
Dragon32 16 Feb, 2017 @ 10:16am
I guess the modifications to the chance to bleed out rather than die which are in BleedOutMod are what require its class override?

According to its Description:
Base game, without Stay With Me:
50 Will and below: 0% chance to bleed out.
+1% Bleedout chance per Will above 50.

With BleedOutMod loaded, without Stay With Me:
Bleedout has a base chance of 25%.
+0.50% Bleedout chance per Will above 0
