As an update to my previous comment... I decided to port the mod myself and add some quality of life edits (ESL flag and separating BSAs). Can I have permission to upload this mod to NexusMods/Bethesda.net I will gladly credit you for the amazing mod!

Also decided to drop a bunch of Steam awards as a silly gesture of my appreciation.

Been a few years so its probably redundant for me to ask... But just to be certain: Do you still plan on updating the mod for SE/AE Skyrim? (Or if applicable, did you make any progress?) I was a big fan of this mod as a kid and I've been wanting to replay it lol

@Dzūkian Mushroom Crusade I haven't updated any of my mods for special edition, but since you asked I might pull out my old pc with the source files and see if I can update it.
Dzūkian Mushroom Crusade 23 Jan, 2023 @ 3:30pm
I've been looking all over for this mod. Used to play Skyrim with this addon years back. However, this is for the Legacy Edition of Skyrim, and unfortunately, almost all the current mods are for the Special Edition. Will there ever be a version of this mod for the Special Edition? If there is, I can't seem to find it.

I know this queston might sound weird but, can you let me know what you use to retexture weapons and armors?

Any chance I could use this dagger in my Here There Be Monsters mod? I need a good "tooth" dagger.
Fine 7 Jun, 2018 @ 8:26pm
thanks man will do!
(^-.-)>  [author] 7 Jun, 2018 @ 8:25pm
Aaha I just looked it up and you're not kidding. Yeah, go for it. Post a link when you're done too!

would you mind if I made a backport of your Fang of Haynekhtnamet mesh to Morrowind? There's really no good high quality replacers for it out there, the most popular one literally makes it look like a rock on a stick

These questions are answered in the mod description (first FAQ question), and the book's precise location is visible in the screenshots and video attached above. If you're having trouble, I suppose it's possible a physics explosion hid the paper required to start the quest. That would be unfortunate. Like any other item, you can pull up the associated item ID with the "help" command.
Glue 19 Nov, 2017 @ 9:49am
ok, so it seems that people have some questions, like were is the damn book, and is there a quest, and can you just tell me the location, snd is there an item id? i would like altleast some of these awensered myself, and so, dear creator, i ask you,, do you have the awensers, also my spelling is terrible.
Duckly Dan 3 Apr, 2017 @ 5:37pm
There use to be another fang of haynekhtnamet Mod on here that featured a more Fang looking blade for it and you would find in in the Nightengaale Sanctuary at the bottom of that pit you fall into during the final Thieves guild quest, but it just up and vaanished and I really liked it. Hopefull this mod can replace it

ekat2468 17 Jul, 2015 @ 4:30am
i can practically hear the pain in your typing when you were answering all those questions about the fang XD
Freddy Fazbear 7 Jun, 2015 @ 4:14pm
where is the dragon
GaryLeeDezernJr 4 Mar, 2015 @ 8:42am
meh there are alot of mods that share the same names of certain monsters, yall need to chill.

Oi the charge of a weapon is based on your enchanting lvl, dont you read mang?

as for my real comment, I cant wait to fight this dragon, hopfully it'll be as fun to fight as Megalodon. man did that take 5 hrs XD
Sad Bean 8 Feb, 2015 @ 2:45pm
No mean to sound rude, I liked the fight, it felt harder than most of my dragon fight (though that could also be attributed to me resetting my one handed skill tree), but the enchantment didn't seem too impressive. Sure it does a good 40 damage and disintegrates enemies, but the charge just goes by, so I hardly ever get to see my enemies burn before my eyes because by the time I get them too that point, the charge is gone. Once again, sorry if I sound rude but could you increase the charge of the weapon.

Great description
io 9 Jan, 2015 @ 8:29am

(^-.-)>  [author] 8 Jan, 2015 @ 3:03pm
I'm aware of Ashking Wulfhearth's mod (and he's aware of this one; I was very honored to get a comment from him a few years ago). To your point, I did not in fact know his mod existed when I started work on this one.

You should keep in mind that these are both remakes of an item from TES III: Morrowind. Naturally they have the same name, though there's a subtle naming difference. His mod is "Fang of Haynekthnamet," which is the proper name of the original dagger, and his intent was to re-introduce the Morrowind item to Skyrim. I added "The" to my mod's name, and I took a slightly more convoluted approach and designed this mod under the impression that the original item was lost (as the Nerevarine disappeared after the events of Morrowind), and instead this gives the Dragonborn the opportunity to craft an entirely new one.

Our two mods are lore-friendly and can actually coexist without a fuss.
io 8 Jan, 2015 @ 11:35am
dude i dont mean to be rude but uhm your daggers name is exactly the same as another dagger so you might wanna change it slightly not my dagger but it was just made before yours an amazing dagger reguardless but keep that in mind
(^-.-)>  [author] 6 Jan, 2015 @ 3:22am
I'm friend requesting you for that.
Nefnoj 5 Jan, 2015 @ 8:05pm
Oh, golly, I love your descriptions.

I am done commenting on your things.
Eryxi 2 Nov, 2014 @ 4:05pm
Is there and ID code for me to spawn the dragon (Heymenkewhatever)? I kind of want to get a second dagger for dual weilding but I don't want to just spawn the dagger, I want to kill the dragon again!
Junlohkron 18 Sep, 2014 @ 1:49pm
@(^-.-) XD
that's cool
(^-.-)>  [author] 18 Sep, 2014 @ 3:47am
I actually didn't realize the similarities until you said that. This mod predates Pacfic Rim by nearly a year.
Junlohkron 17 Sep, 2014 @ 1:06pm
Is that Otachi?
ChillChatsBee 12 Aug, 2014 @ 12:19am
reminds me of harry potter
Forsaken Buge 8 Aug, 2014 @ 3:23pm
Too bad we have to kill it though. Wish we can be buddies and release havoc upon bandits or other dragons. Or I can ride it around and slaugther guards/bandits. Or I can just play fetch with it. Oh thats what you should do. Make a cave thing put a call on it. Kill this dragon and call your new best dragon friend!
(^-.-)>  [author] 7 Aug, 2014 @ 5:44am
my favorite skyrim screenshot remains the one in the images above where she's tossing one of those imperials out of her jaws.
Forsaken Buge 6 Aug, 2014 @ 10:26pm
Luckily it was near an imperial camp and some bandits. Also I brought some argonian followers, We crushed it, but we only lost a few people like, all the bandits and imperials. But my buddies and I destroyed it!
Forsaken Buge 6 Aug, 2014 @ 10:23pm
Amazing mod, now I can go kill alduin, miraak, and the one vampire dude.

awww no i didnt mean to make you feel bad i just thought you'de dissappeared from steam entirely. busy i can definetly understand but please dont abandon these mods. the crescent or monarch blade idea would be wicked and whenever you're no longer busy you should continue!
(^-.-)>  [author] 2 Jul, 2014 @ 4:17am
sorry :( I don't get a lot of time off to work on projects like this anymore. The next mod I was developing was nearly finished but I pretty much ran out of time to work on it.
The Unsung Hero 2 Jul, 2014 @ 2:39am
so im going to assume the mod maker wont be making any more of these cross over weapon mods? he seems to have been inactive for a looonnnggg time.

I'm not sure if there's a direct egyptian origin but I agree that sound like an egyptian name.
Zlerith <3 24 Mar, 2014 @ 8:29pm
Is the name Egyptian? Cause it seems to be similar at the very least.
