Still great to see this work in version 3.14.1592!

If you'd be willing, I think it would be incredible if you checked. And of course if it's possible, making it achievement compatible could grand.
I'm playing Stellaris without most of my mods, as I want to do an achievement run or two. And I gotta say, I don't miss most of them, but this one is a big one. ;) Who in Paradox thought those dotted lines marking the celestial bodies' orbits must be a must is a weird one... there should be an option to turn them off! They take away from the beauty of the game.
ButtJunkie  [author] 18 Oct, 2023 @ 4:08am
Sorry, I can't remember. I suspect not as it changes the defines, and I think it used to be the case that it disallowed achievements, but I could be wrong.
Grand Poo-Bah de Canadiannaise 5 Oct, 2023 @ 11:52pm
this mod is a long time favourite of mine
is it possible to be made achievement compatible?
momonga 25 Jul, 2022 @ 2:30am
mod still works as of now
Porter 15 Apr, 2020 @ 2:22am
@羊葱炒蛋 yes Ive tested it and it still works not sure about the camerta thouugh cant really zoom in like in the picturtes above but everything else is working
羊葱炒蛋 6 Apr, 2020 @ 4:52am
Is this mod compatible with the new version?:RCEarth:
ButtJunkie  [author] 17 Oct, 2018 @ 6:05pm
@Arnovitz - sorry, seemed to have missed messages the messages on this mod (I have quite a few!).

Unfortunately doing that requires making changes the clash with most planet mods.
Arnovitz 26 May, 2018 @ 7:20am
Any chance you could make a mod or incorporate into this one a removal of the "planet glow" or rim lighting around every planet?
Remember 12 May, 2018 @ 7:04pm
Any chance of adding optional download to hide nameplates?
henk 15 Mar, 2018 @ 6:41pm
Looks much better without these lines :D
ButtJunkie  [author] 8 Mar, 2018 @ 4:58pm
Ok, I thought Stellaris needs a completely cinematic version, and since this mod has mainly been that, I've reverted it to be completely line-free. I've got a second version that allows orbital lines to appear at higher zooms, and has small navigation arrows here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1324690989
Huzzah 8 Mar, 2018 @ 12:07pm
I don't like the reintroduction of orbital lines either.
henk 8 Mar, 2018 @ 2:44am
From one day to the other all the lines and stuff reapeared in the systems view, was there an update or is this a mod conflict?
YggdrasilsSword 7 Mar, 2018 @ 8:27pm
I, for one, like having the orbit lines fade out upon zooming in, since they're a sore thumb in close-up screenshots, but help give the system a sense of scale when looked at from a distance.
ButtJunkie  [author] 6 Mar, 2018 @ 9:27pm
There's no way to toggle them. I can make it so they don't appear until higher zooms. If there's enough outrage I may just revert it ;)

I prefer orbital lines zoomed far out to get a sense that it is a solar system, and to disappear in closer zoomes for cinematics.
MightNight 6 Mar, 2018 @ 7:23pm
What have you done!!!! No orbital lines was the best!
Marinho 6 Mar, 2018 @ 6:14pm
I liked the "Cleaner" view better - I don't know if this is possible but is the a way that one could toggle those lines on and off??? Like the Hyperlanes?
ButtJunkie  [author] 6 Mar, 2018 @ 5:10pm
It was removed almost immediately after it was put in - I've updated the description. I'm not going to upload a second version (I have 30 uploads to juggle as it is), but I've added a change I've been meaning to include for a while - I've toned orbit lines down a little on higher zooms, and removed them for closer zooms. The orbit lines may be a little dark for some - I'll see what the feedback is like.
Lizard Liaison 5 Mar, 2018 @ 10:50pm
The transparency for unit banners doesn't appear to be working for me. Tried on 2.0.1 and the beta. On another note, I'd also second a version with at least partially visible orbital lines; it's definitely prettier without them, but also very disorienting I find.
Laggfestttt 27 Feb, 2018 @ 3:43am
Is it possible to make a mod that shows enamy space in fog of war, showing star names, and only borders when its contacted? so if you declare war on empire you need to find their planets and starbases? And to frendly empires you can trade comunications and than it's shows all territory like now in vanilla?Im asking to you becase you make lot of galaxy view changing mods
Rohzdear 23 Feb, 2018 @ 10:27am
Do you think you could make a version that make Orbital lines transparent rather than invisible?
I've noticed that it helps me find planets easier in heavily cluttered systems, but without looking too obstructive.

I've been using Better System View Mod for a while because it does this, but the mod has not been updated since 1.6, and I'm not sure how incompatiblr it'll be with 2.0

Kudos for your hard work, by the way.
ButtJunkie  [author] 22 Feb, 2018 @ 8:43pm
No I mean they're on as of my 2.0 upload, precisely because they're the entry/exit points. I just don't think I turned on the names of the systems the arrows lead to for the uploaded version.
Space Cadet 22 Feb, 2018 @ 8:40pm
Ah maybe I overlooked them because I'm not used to looking for them lol. AFAIK they will be more strategically important now that ships have to actually traverse the sectors.
ButtJunkie  [author] 22 Feb, 2018 @ 8:34pm
The arrows are on. I don't believe the text is on my uploaded version. Don't think we NEED it, but since the arrows are there maybe I may as well...
Space Cadet 22 Feb, 2018 @ 8:32pm
Dont forget to re-enable the sector entry/exit icons for 2.0
ButtJunkie  [author] 22 Feb, 2018 @ 11:00am
Fortunately this one works on 1.9 and 2.0. I only had to update the version number.
DG 22 Feb, 2018 @ 10:43am
Thanks for this mod, but I'm not going to be playing 2.0. Any chance of making the previous version available separately to get rid of those green triangles?
p6kocka 19 Dec, 2017 @ 8:40am
@ButtJunkie Would you be so kind and send me at least the info what and how to edit there pls? Because I used to paly with edited bars a year ago. Now i´m playing again and I simply can not play with those vanilla big bars over units. Thanks.
p6kocka 13 Dec, 2017 @ 9:27pm
I like it. Thanks
ButtJunkie  [author] 13 Dec, 2017 @ 7:37pm
@[E.FF]Thadwookie - thanks, mentioned it.

@p6kocka - yes, forgot to mention that in the description. I'll probably make a separate mod for it since it's not going to be to everyone's tastes.
p6kocka 13 Dec, 2017 @ 12:21pm
Are the experimental bars disabled for now? Because after subscribing I don´t have any. only orbit lines dissappear.
Thadom69 11 Dec, 2017 @ 10:59am
This mod is not achievement compatible. Dear author, if you can mention it, please do.
ButtJunkie  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 7:59am
I reuploaded that change as I must've uploaded the wrong version - the experimental bars were still in for me (and I always sub to the steam version to make sure).
Princess Stabbity 8 Dec, 2017 @ 1:09am
Thank you <3 It looks better now
ButtJunkie  [author] 7 Dec, 2017 @ 7:55pm
@Princess Stabbity - I reverted it back; it was an experiment to work better with another mod I was making (that made systems far more busy), but I toned that down.
Princess Stabbity 7 Dec, 2017 @ 5:07pm
Mmm... I don't think I like that this removes the nameplates. I love all the other clutter removal, especially orbits because they mess up screenshots so much buuuut... I kinda like the fleet nameplates and station icons. The game looks really weird without them, especially that empty gap between health and shields, at first I thought it was a glitch.

Do you think you could make a patch to revert the nameplate changes or at least move them to a separate mod? If not, I guess I'll try to patch it out locally but I'd like to know if you already have plans for that n_n
ButtJunkie  [author] 3 Dec, 2017 @ 7:12pm
@alike, go into stellaris/common/defines/defines.txt, look for this:

ORBIT_HSV = { 0.44 0.8 0.6 }

These are the vanilla values by the way if you just want to restore them, but I'd go for something like {0.6 06 06} personally (not green).
alike 3 Dec, 2017 @ 8:53am
@ButtJunkie - What do I need to change in the code of the mod to bring back the orbital lines?
ButtJunkie  [author] 1 Dec, 2017 @ 10:42am
@Redshiftja - I'll have to throw them back in now the game is moving to hyperlane only. I'll probably just scale them down a bit or recolour them.
Reduviid 21 Nov, 2017 @ 6:30pm
would you consider making a version of the systems only version that doesn't erase a system's navigation arrows and text? The navigation arrows and text are really important to planning directional attacks, ambushes, etc. It's kinda crippling to not be able to see plan where in a star system you want your fleet to land after an FTL jump.
ButtJunkie  [author] 5 Nov, 2017 @ 12:24am
I'll probably just remove them from this mod, since everyone will be staring at hyperlanes soon and I've got the changes in a separate mod anyway (and it is better to have opt-in rather than opt-out).

Thad's Cleanspace Fix 1.8.3. - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1191593325

-Doesn't require Hyperlane Visibility Mod - i just made a quick link
-Original Mod - no credit taken, just making the mod more compatible. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=865869495&searchtext=clean+space

1: Uncheck old cleanspace mod
2: Check Thad's Cleanspace Fix 1.8.3.
3: Install Hyperlane Visibility Mod:

This mod takes out the changes to hyperlane network from the original Clean Space mod. Use this mod solely for what this mod aims to change. The modification of hyperplanes file. So that other mods can change and play with hyperplanes. While at the same time enjoy clean space mod.
ButtJunkie  [author] 22 Oct, 2017 @ 6:19pm
I don't think so. While it is cosmetic, some of the changes are made in a file that includes a lot of gameplay settings, so the game will consider it to be 'modded'.
Jinn 22 Oct, 2017 @ 12:28pm
I assume the answer is yes because afaik this is purely cosmetic, but this is multiplayer compatable right? No need for everyone to get this?
ButtJunkie  [author] 15 Oct, 2017 @ 3:41am
It won't affect performance either way.
Command Line Vulpine 14 Oct, 2017 @ 5:16am
Out of curiousity, does this mod improve game performance much?
Pungent Raindeer King 10 Oct, 2017 @ 8:03pm
Hmm, that's odd - I loaded up the mod for the first time today and the galaxy was 2d. O_o
Bandit 27 Sep, 2017 @ 12:40am
work fine for me now, i guess this mod had conflict with some other mod
ButtJunkie  [author] 26 Sep, 2017 @ 5:45pm
Hi Bandit, I doubt it's this mod as I've played quite a bit of 1.8 with it, and do both actions all the tie.

@Brotato Chip - I actually have the problem that the galaxy won't go 2d for me?!
