I like how you explained the reasoning behind the palette substitution rather than defaulting to saying "It just won't work".

Ok just wondering, because I know one million colours needed a separate plugin to make it work on sparks so I wasn't sure if that was the case here as well.
Beaker  [author] 30 Apr, 2022 @ 1:57am
When I was working on these color changes, I only found the three color palettes (hair, eyes, armor) so they could be tied together but I can't say for certain.
Hatsune Marineku 28 Apr, 2022 @ 11:49pm
Do these changes affect spark colors as well?
Beaker  [author] 8 Apr, 2022 @ 9:02pm
Unfortunately only one color mod can be active at a time for each type (armor, hair, and eyes).
Squeakers 8 Apr, 2022 @ 8:01pm
Would this work with the million colors armor mod?
Daevinski 9 Jan, 2022 @ 7:20am
If you still working on these mods, please consider a new one that add more Calmer and Natural Skin Colors. I think the game could use some real pale, golden and darker tones.

Very nice mod! I'm keeping the bright color options for the hair, but I really like the reduced saturation for the armor!
Ancalagon 29 May, 2021 @ 6:30pm
These colors are THE BEST! They have solved all my issues with default XCOM colors. If you are on the Workshop looking for additional color packs because the default ones are so ugly, look no further: this is the mod for you!

Some great Mod Troubleshooting advice
That recommends the excellent Alternate Mod Launcher [github.com] Everyone who uses mods should be using it
As well as AML's own wiki and FAQs, this guide gives some more detailed advice on using the Alternate Mod Launcher: Troubleshooting: Mods not working properly / at all

I’m very sure it’s not a mod incompatibility since if it was my game would’ve immediately crash to desktop.
[SFBOT] Sgt. K. Bassiclan 2 Dec, 2020 @ 8:56pm
That’s what I saw before, so I checked to see if it would work with original xcom and it worked perfectly, just not sure why it won’t show up in WOTC
Beaker  [author] 2 Dec, 2020 @ 8:40pm
It should work with both. You'll see the warning symbol showing its not compatible but you should still be able to enable it and it will work. I only play WOTC and have it enabled.
[SFBOT] Sgt. K. Bassiclan 2 Dec, 2020 @ 8:07pm
Yeah it works with only original xcom 2. It does not work for
WOTC
[SFBOT] Sgt. K. Bassiclan 24 Nov, 2020 @ 5:47am
I’ll try that thnx for the info :)
Beaker  [author] 23 Nov, 2020 @ 9:06pm
Hmm...I don't think that would matter, although I did increase the number of colors. It might not hurt to try disabling that one and see if it makes a difference. You may also want to try using the Xcom Alternative Mod Launcher to help find any possible mod issues. Beyond that, I'm not sure what else to try.
[SFBOT] Sgt. K. Bassiclan 22 Nov, 2020 @ 6:37pm
I don’t have any addon that directly changes armor color at all, just one that picks one from the whole pool of colors
[SFBOT] Sgt. K. Bassiclan 22 Nov, 2020 @ 6:36pm
I do have an addon that randomizes soldier generation. The game randomly picks colors, camp types, and gear for each new recruit
Beaker  [author] 22 Nov, 2020 @ 4:47pm
I just hopped into the game and it seems to be working. Is it possible you have another mod enabled which changes armor color?
[SFBOT] Sgt. K. Bassiclan 22 Nov, 2020 @ 2:30pm
Enabled the addon and everything and no new colors are showing up at all
OnlyDaz 18 Jan, 2020 @ 5:41am
@Beaker Thanks mate
Beaker  [author] 17 Jan, 2020 @ 4:43pm
Black in primary is 94 and secondary is 91. How it looks on armor could vary depending on the model.
OnlyDaz 17 Jan, 2020 @ 1:20pm
No black colour available?
Jestimac 19 Oct, 2019 @ 2:34pm
Hello
Congatulations. Three small mods that bring a very nice touch. The colors are far better than the standard ones. And the few additions in the blue/green/grey range are useful.
goDelimS 2 Feb, 2019 @ 2:30am
Awesome work! Now the soilders look less like powerrangers :)
Beaker  [author] 9 Nov, 2018 @ 7:50pm
I finally found some time to fix the problem. Let me know if you encounter any other issues.
Scryehard 23 Oct, 2018 @ 9:15pm
@Dragon32
@Beaker

No problem. I hope things work out all right.
Beaker  [author] 23 Oct, 2018 @ 4:56pm
@Scryehard

Thanks for doing that. I'll try to get it fixed in the mod by this weekend.
Dragon32 23 Oct, 2018 @ 2:22pm
Wow. Thanks Scryehard, that's really appreciated. I'll try that out as soon as I'm able
Scryehard 23 Oct, 2018 @ 1:29pm
@Dick Justice

I went ahead and downloaded Modbuddy (yep, all 50gb), and edited the color palette manually. I have managed to fix the issue for my end.
Here is the upk file: http s://bit. ly/2OHFab5

What you do is, you go to the mod's Content folder (if you are using the Alternative Mod Launcher, simply right-click on the mod and select "Open in Explorer." If you aren't, then the path is steamapps\workshop\content\268500\868218230\Contentt)

In the Content folder, copy and replace the CalmerColorsArmor file with the one from my link. That SHOULD work, BUT if it doesn't, then delete the mod, redownload it, go into the game, find the black colors which aren't properly black, write down the NUMBER of the color in the game (each color you select has a corresponding number on the screen.) Then you upload your own CalmerColorsArmor file, send the link to me along with the numbers you wrote down, and I'll edit the file for you.

@Beaker
Any word on the black color issue? Plenty of people are having it.
PeaceMaker 14 Oct, 2018 @ 2:28am
Looks good will try. thanks.
Dick Justice 13 Oct, 2018 @ 4:04pm
The black colour problem is definitely a thing.

With mod

The black turns into navy blue when using it.
SIX 11 Oct, 2018 @ 10:15pm
The secondary "Black" is not black but dark blue. Why i dont now i dont even use your mod and its like that could you fix it with your mod plz ! The guy from more armor color did explain how to do it but u need the xcom editor.
Scryehard 11 Oct, 2018 @ 9:58am
@Beaker

Such was the case on every piece of armor.
Beaker  [author] 10 Oct, 2018 @ 10:36pm
Is it on a specific armor type or on anything? There are some items in the game that already have a tint to them and using black won't aways make it black. You can see that especially on shiny armor which I believe uses another color pallette to create an "aura" as part of it's reflection effect.
Scryehard 10 Oct, 2018 @ 6:59pm
Whenever I use this or More Armor Colors, the darkest black becomes a sort of dark blue, teal-ish color.
Snoup Sniddly 29 Sep, 2018 @ 8:23am
Oh my god, thank fuck for this mod.
Weebos 6 Aug, 2018 @ 5:52am
Great lightweight mod.
Cpt. Rogers 16 Jun, 2018 @ 1:24am
What the guy bellow just said is something I'd love to see.
matthew86918 14 Jun, 2018 @ 9:32am
can you combine this with the more armor colors mod i like both and its so hard to chose
Genghis Khanghis 4 Oct, 2017 @ 6:04pm
k thanks for replying
Beaker  [author] 3 Oct, 2017 @ 9:21pm
GK - The only way to make any changes is to replace the color pallette with a new one. If you're just looking for more color variety, there are other mods which would better fit that bill.
Genghis Khanghis 2 Oct, 2017 @ 5:20pm
can you make this a standalone mod instead of a replacer
hemajoshi 15 Sep, 2017 @ 9:30am
I love this mod, but I wish there were more options. I want both bright AND calm colors, such as when I use advent armor or soemthing. ANyone got any ideas?
swl2072 12 Sep, 2017 @ 3:35pm
Thanks, love your color mods! Will enable.
Beaker  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 8:11pm
Just did some testing and it looks like this mod is compatible with WotC. You can just ignore the yellow exclamation icon and enable it in your mods screen.
macelharen 7 Aug, 2017 @ 5:58pm
interesting mod. since i'm starting a new campaign i'll give it a whirl and let you know what it did to my character pool.

"Ready to go, Captain" :csgohelmet:
Oddball_E8 4 Mar, 2017 @ 10:29pm
That's too bad. I'll be unsubscribing then since it messes up existing camouflage schemes.
